Been getting alot of players asking about rolling an orc. This is not to be treated as a deterent. I just want players to have fun and be aware of what you are getting into. As it is right now and was in the past, playing an orc can be lonely and dangerous. I am certainly working toward changing this and there is at least one orc player that is mainstream. That one has been around a very long time and no matter what he played, would likely be popular. Anyway, playing an orc on the surface is dangerous. But it is also exciting. Very exciting. At no time can you feel safe. Around every corner could be someone that wants orcs dead. When you are looking at the broker, when you are taking stuff out of the bank. When you are buying more kits or arrows. someone that wishes you dead are always there. if you do not like PvP, do not play an orc. If you are unsure you can take both wins and losses with grace, dont play an orc. As an orc, you will be under the microscope when it comes to PvP. You better be very up on the rules and often times take the second or third swing. You will not have access to items that are purchased in cities to include spell scrolls, regen cloak and any of the +4 items that are sold there. Best you can do is some +3 weapons and armor sold at dark hold. But even then that can be dangerous. They don't really like guests much. Know also that your builds will be one feat less than everyone else on the surface. Also know that with -2 ability score int and cha and int that two of the most popular powerbuilds are more challanging and another is considered not lore appropriate though not illegal. But orc does make some very good builds. I suppose I could go on and on, but in the end it is so much fun playing an orc that even with the disadvantages and because of these disadvantages, playing an orc is better for me than any other. There is more creativity more excitement and more work. There are events that are orc and since there are so few orc players everyone of us important.
So with that said, join the hoard. There is plenty of fun to go around. I started a guild for orcs so the countdown has been started to getting private forum. From there we can correspond so much better. But i did want to point out that this is not an easy ride. I don't want regrets. I want everyone to have fun, because that is what playing the game is about. So if this doesn't look like your kind of fun. Great. If though it does. Even better. But whatever you decide and whenever you decide I'll be here. Send me a pm.

Is a tanarukk an outsider or orc? Not that it matters, just curious.

Tanarruks are generally considered far more orcish than outsiderish. I assume classified as orcs as a favoured enemy type group.
I never make mistakes…I thought I did once; but I was wrong.

Tanarukk is to orc what tiefling is to human. Exactly that.aaron22 wrote:Is a tanarukk an outsider or orc? Not that it matters, just curious.
