This server has been my home on the internet for just over eight years now. When I came here in November 2011, I had practically no experience with roleplaying besides some tabletop dungeons and dragons with some real life friends. I had only basic understanding of lore, as I had read a few novels and I our tabletop games were usually set in Forgotten Realms. I have learned so much from this place, about many things. I have an enormous amount of fantastic memories from my time here.

I won’t start making a thank-you list, although I would like to direct a special thanks to the QC team of the past, that I was a part of. We didn’t always agree, and our debates could go on for a long time. But that was also our strength. Our debates and tinkering made sure we actually could give good advice on the quality of the server’s content, and historically, our advice was often taken into account.

So why am I writing all of this now? Well, I’ve been DM Ghost for a few years, and especially this last year has given me many headaches on the DM team. I won’t go into details here. But today I was given a warning for my conduct. Again, I’ll not go into details here, but the reason was bizarre.

I am stepping down today, both as QC and DM. I am sorry to those of you who I had planned events and ongoing plots with. I’m also leaving the server, as much as it breaks my heart to do so. I’d love to tell you why, but I’ll avoid the details here. But I will summarise it as such: I no longer feel welcome here. I could write a long, long essay about why. And maybe I will, for anyone who comes asking.

I’ll leave it at that. Maybe if I am wrong, and this server manages to revitalise itself, I might be back in the future. If anyone wants to reach me, I can be found on discord:

Take care DG! Thanks for all the RP and chats over the years.

I wish I could say something remotely comforting, or that I'm surprised you're heading out, but... I'm kinda busy choking on all these sour grapes over here. Perhaps I'll join you in never-never land some time soon. We shall miss thee!

Well (#2), DG, if you don't feel welcome, what should I feel?!? :| 8-)

Good luck out there in RL. And thanks for the various IG interactions since then until now.

I'll be gone until next weekend, and then I'll be back to bother those I usually bother. Christmas is closing in on me, and stuff needs to be done sooner, rather than later.

I will be out out of town to visit the family for the Holiday. I wont be able to log in from the 20th - 27th. Should be able to be on Discord and forums from time to time, if needed.

I will be travelling a lot as the Holiday approaches and won't be around from 12/21 until possibly after the new year, depending.

I can be reached by PM and Discord and to all of you, have a wonderful holiday and happy new year in the event I don't see you. <3

I've been gone quite a while. The workload of late 2019 is not something I'd like to repeat anytime soon! Although it probably was a career high in many ways. Apologies for having do dash away at such short notice, such was the nature of what got sprung on us at work.

I shan't be returning with as much activity as I had before alas, but I missed this place too much not to at least spend some of my time here :)

Hello! I've been away for... quite awhile now. But I'm thinking about returning. I've been missing this place, and it's good to see that it's still going!

So hi to the people still around from when I played, and to all the people who've come since I left. :)

Welcome back, I think I only remember reading your bio back then but I might be wrong.

Still always good to see old faces return.

My logging times will be sporadic for the next week or so, if I can at all.

Still assignments to finish (maybe, will find out in a couple of days...) and otherwise dealing with RL.

Skulking in the forums!
