I. ADDING A BELT TO ARMOR
To add a belt to a piece of armor, remove all items save your chest piece, and open the appearance changer.

It's important that you remove your other gear, as the 'old' appearance changer has been known to eat items on occasion. If you're feeling particularly cautious, take a screenshot of your armor beforehand, on the off-chance that it glitches out and you need to request a replacement.

To access the "old appearance changer" click on the neverwinter eye at the bottom left corner of your screen and select "Change Appearance". Using the left and right buttons on the armor changer interface, click through the pre-designed outfits to find one with a belt or bandoleer. Once you have it, accept and apply the changes. Your armor now has a belt!

From here, you can reequip your gear and customize your armor's aesthetic using the 'new' appearance kit which can be bought from the "Basic Supplies Merchant" in both the Eastern Farmlands and the Nexus. If you'd like to customize the belt you've just added, read on.

Note: At this point in time, belts cannot be added to mirthril armor and/or some epic armors.

II. CUSTOMIZING A BELT
Belts, and accessories that use the belt slot, can be customized using the 'new' appearance kit.

You must un-equip the item in your belt slot before attempting to make changes to the belt visually represented on your armor. In order to see your selection and make changes, you cannot be wearing an item in your belt slot. Attempting to do so without removing the slotted item will make it appear as though it is not changing, despite scrolling through the available options. This can lead to you wearing something unintended on area transition.

You can change the belt "type" by selecting [1. Clothing/Armor] from the main menu, then [6. Modify Default Belt], and from there scroll through the options available to that type through specific look/variation. Of special note, a variety of accessories designed to use the belt slot have been added by the media team. These can be found under the MP category, and include furs, scarves and other decorative items that can be layered with clothing to create unique looks.

Once you have customized your outfit to your liking, you can reequip your belt.
