A Murder in Trademeet?
Information provided below (except the spot/lore checks) is as the character would inform a friend and may not accurately reflect certain facts! The only way to be sure of any of this is to roleplay. (Or to ask nicely as a DM. Even not-so-nicely. Folks who run the show should have all the facts.)
First Name: Alianne
Last Name: Jerizk

Spot Checks
Spot DC 15
Hidden: show
Her hair is not naturally colored. She either dyes it or has imperfectly altered the color by magical means.
Spot DC 15 when only partially clothed within ~15 feet (exposed lower back, stomach, or upper-thigh)
Hidden: show
Spellcraft DC 15 or Lore DC 20 and message me upon success/failure. Automatic pass for certain prestige classes.
PvP Authorization and Permadeath:
This character is level 8. (PvP consent not required for people who read the forum bio! You still need an IC reason, however!)
This character is not yet level 16. (No permadeath)

When this character reaches level 8, all PCs and DMs are welcome to engage in PvP without asking or providing an option to RP out, on the sole condition that they have an RP reason for this combat. (Does not have to be personal, does not have to be significant; perhaps she caught you pickpocketing her, perhaps your character is drunk and angry, perhaps you're robbing her at knifepoint and didn't want a witness.)

Furthermore, upon reaching level 16, all characters are welcome to permanently kill this character. If you do not want to kill this character in combat, make it explicitly clear that you are only incapacitating (knocking out) the character. To clarify, this character could still be raised or resurrected (if the appropriate conditions are met), as per:

http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Raise_Dead
http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Resurrection

The caster would be responsible for disposing of the material components for those spells, and I would contact a DM to have the level removed. Those who do not wish for this character to be raised/resurrected should make it clear at the time of death that they are disposing of the remains, or should see that this character is killed where the body will not be found.

A Murder in Trademeet?

Alianne Jerizk was born daughter to Lord Gareth Jerizk of Trademeet, a mage and academician. Her mother passed in a tragic accident shortly after her birth, so it fell to her father to fill the role of her tutor and protector from childhood to late adolescence, until his death in 1347 DR (two years past at the time of writing this). Attentive and studious, Alianne did not spend much of her time outside the family estate, and was not well known in the town. Her father, however, was a minor public figure and was generally well-regarded in academic circles, though he had no significant works of his own.

Lore DC 15 and your character lived in Trademeet:
Hidden: show
You are familiar with Lord Jerizk and remember that he was generally well-liked. You can't imagine anyone would have a motive for murdering him.
Lore DC 25 and Spellcraft DC 25:
Hidden: show
You are familiar with Lord Jerizk's works. He was not one of the most preeminent academics, but he had a reputation for impressive execution of his magicks, drawing envy and resentment from some of his peers with greater academic achievement but less impressive spellwork. Still, one would have to be incredibly vain or borderline insane to kill for such a thing.
Lore DC 45 or Lore DC 20 and your character lived in Trademeet in 1347 DR:
Hidden: show
In 1347 DR, Lord Jerizk was arrested with the assistance of three adventuring, mercenary mages. He was tried in a closed session and hanged. A bulletin for his daughter's detainment was disseminated, but it is believed that her father got word to her before his arrest and that she fled the countryside. The estate and all its possessions were seized by the city and are being used as an auxiliary barracks. Rumor from guardsmen present at the trial is that Lord Jerizk was involved in some occult activity, the exact nature of which no one can seem to agree on.
After the murder of her father in 1347 DR, a painful subject which Alianne is loathe to discuss, she could not bear to live among the memories, and set out to live a nomadic life along the Sword Coast with only a few possessions and a small store of coin from her home. Two years on the road have not been easy on her, and she remains wary of travelers, lest the party responsible for her father's death should seek to end the bloodline. Running low on coin, Baldur's Gate seems to suit her better than recent homes, so she loiters...

Can a DM move this to the proper subforum for me? I put it in the wrong place.

Edit: Thanks, Luna!

This character has been permakilled. Gold reward should instead be directed to "Kastin Sover" (char of MajesticMoose) who liberated her body of its possessions after the killer did their work.
