Eleint 1355, when night fell on the countryside of Baldur's Gate ...

In the south of the fortified outpost of the Trade Way Inn, two sinister individuals came to stand on a bridge, preventing anyone from crossing it ...

Near the wyrms crossing a single dark clad gnome strums on an old lute. He stands before the statue of Chantea as he plays a simple tune. When it ends the gnome simply turns and walks away. Those who hear it seem indifferent or even annoyed, however what the goddess thought of it only she could say.

Word might spread around the Friendly Arm Inn that a small gaggle of known and suspected Zhentarim nearly went to war with some elves over a picnic and romantic music.

A rude, uncouth and perpetually drunken dwarf known as Walker can be seen around various locales bragging and at the same time cursing that he has been burdened with some sort of knowledge and/or trade goods (his drunkenness impedes most coherent conversation) that may be of interest to merchant organizations that deal in magical trade goods. The avaricious old dwarf seems willing to give more details with a wink and a nod over a stiff drink to any interested organizations.

/// ooc - a plot Item/eventfound involving dm spartacus. Hoping to elicit some rp with such trade organizations. Character is Walker Firebeard

Rumors are spread around the Coast, a young knight is leaving parchments on the local notice boards.
To Whom it may concern,

My name is Zaelphion Devress, Avowed and Guard of Candlekeep.
I am a student in war strategy, to advance in my studies I seek the chance to witness officers and generals practicing this art.
I wish to witness a military body, planning and acting on those plans.
I can also provide advice based on my studies if whoever is in charge will find it appropriate.
My goal is purely academic, I do not seek power or positions.

Anybody interested should send a letter to Candlekeep's garrison, or find me there.

Zaelphion Devress,
Guard of Candlekeep

Two bronze dragons are seen attacking a tiefling and a woman dressed in black at the wood of sharp teeth, close to the FAI, after that, horrible acid and lighting storms rained down on the orc camp, killing most of them who couldnt make it into the cave.

Casting the net

Out of Candelkeep a halfelven woman with the looks of a ranger strides.

She first tracks south along the coast, then heads inland towards the High Hedge Estate.

While bying, and selling magical items, scrolls and potions she would ask the grumby Thalanthyr if anyone seeking rare tomes had come his way.

Through Beregost, she would drop in at the Felderpost Inn, asking tavenwenches and minstrells the same question.

Turning around on her heel, she heads north, making a stop at the Friendly Arm Inn. Once again discreet inquirys are made to the people working there.
Allways asked with a friendly smile and a knowing look of one who once served tables herself to make a living.

Heading last for The Gate, she makes several purchases in the Sorcerous Sundries, asking the owner the question she's asked so many before.

Lastly she does a round of Inns and Tavens, allways making sure to make purchases and giving the tavenwenches a little extra.

If allowed, she will gladly join in with minstells playing, only asking that they let her know if any information comes their way, as thanks for lending her musical skills to the repertoire for a singel evening.

Travelers and adventurers in the regions south or east of the Wood of Sharp Teeth have started occasionally reporting dead creatures along the roads to Nashkel: Xvarts, flinds, ogrillons, the occasional wyvern or fire genie, and even a giant or two come down from the Cloud Peaks to their demise. Some of these seem to have been mauled by large, powerful claws; sometimes fairly broad and short, sometimes relatively thin and long. Others sport signs of premortem freezing, or burns from fire and lightning strikes.

Meanwhile, others tell of a giant, white-furred bear watching the roads from afar. Some even claim to have been followed, yet if they broke off to investigate, they could find no clear indication of the bear's existence - neither scent nor tracks in the snow. It was as if they had witnessed a phantom, or an illusion.

A four horned Tiefling would read the flyer carefully by the Friendly Arms Inn.
A few moments later she will make her way inside, pack up her bag and returns the her room key to Bentley.
A nasty looking falchion strapped to her back, and clad in mithril breastplate.
Her long tail sways left and right with deliberation as she makes south on the Trade Way towards Candlekeep.

Merchants along the Sword Coast may have heard rumor, or directly from agents themselves, that Rocky Creek will offer trade for wagon plans, parts, and other tools of the wagon trade. As Greenest continues to prosper, Rocky Creek is investing further still in the local economy. In Candlekeep in particular, word may travel that Jackard engaged in trade with a hulking half-orc to acquire innovative parts from the South, found on a routine patrol.
