Subject: The Wanderings of a Magistrati

Of notice but irregular at best—yet always at dusk with certainty—a devoted priest dressed in light blue and with a puffed hat takes seated pleasure upon softly-stacked pillows in the rear of the library of the Mystran Temple of Baldur's Gate. There, in the silence only found within such rooms of knowledge written, bound and stacked high, he would close his eyes, and though not sleeping remains still and calm, what many would consider a form of prayer.

Whenever finished, his actions are the same: finding the Servant of Mystery in her duties, disturbing them to receive the next available and possible book known to contain local references to the consecration of an altar or reverence to the High One, the First Magister, Azuth, Lord of Spells, and Mystra's advisor...and more.

Whatever result is gained through his on-and-off research within the library, the foreign-born monk drafts notes, and...where nothing seems to be found, he drafts comments to ideas based on knowledge he himself has brought within....

Subject: Rumors & Events of Baldur's Gate

...the flyers looks as though it has been engraved somehow, and those familiar with the phenomenon would recognize the use of a pair of arcane mark spells to etch a mage rune and the word "AELA" just beside the signature...

An Azuthan priest frequents the Church of Mystra in these days, carrying with him a flyer with a particular mark and signature. He is not altogether unknown within the temple, as previous Tendays he often took rest within the peace and quiet of the library within.

With the parchment in hand, he questions those about the temple as to who knows the author, and if they are present, before the coming date mentioned on the parchment itself.

The priest is often saying aloud: "With failing access to spells of one's own, such renewal surely requires addressing the Lord of Spells through prayer, and receiving such a blessing clearly benefit the practitioner. I, Arthayer Zorastryl, am one who speaks for the High One with his grace...and can perform such blessing in support."

The Magistrati is regularly coming and going from the Mystran Temple...and it would only be a matter of good timing for him, and the author signing as AELA, would have the chance to meet.

A scroll is left with High Priestess Neela, who appears to infinitely welcome all within the Temple itself. The delivery is made by hand, by the Azuthan Cleric Arthayer Zorastryl, a foreign-born man that would not be unfamiliar within the temple, for over the last few months, has utilized the library within as a place to calm his mind and meditate inward.

It would appear the letter is addressed to all that are part of the Church of Mystra, and Arthayer as well expressed to Neela that such should be shared with all.

A Mystran Knight posts a notice warning the Temple Staff that a young woman of brown hair and tan skin going by the name "Harriet" attempted to lure the child Brienne away with the promise of reuniting her with her mother, the necromancer Bronwyn. While the girl was teleported back into the temple before she could run off, the knight warns that security may need to be heightened around her.

A meeting between representatives of the Church of the Lady of Spells and the Church of the Lord of Spells takes place in recent days within the Temple of Mystra, in Baldur's Gate. A proposal was received, discussed and queried between the three present, with the High Priestess Neela looking on from her infinite perch.

Later, respective members left the meeting by their own accord and amicably...with at least one person, perhaps the most foreign-featured of the group, calmly pleased.

Tender Care

In the Temple of the Lady of Mysteries, a ragged visitor comes dayly. Spending time with a young child, it is said that the two of them spend some time together. There has not been a single day without a visit yet. Sister Ashenie is said to have performed caring task with the child, from hair brushing to stories for the night, singing lullabies and talking with the young girl.

A display of care seems to sign a growing affection. It is said that the girl is dearly cherished, while the two of them try to find accomodation in the new home that the Temple of the Lady of Mysteries has become for the girl.

Sister Ashenie's visits are always around the same time, after education sessions and around bedtime. She is said to not interfere with the instruction overseen by Priestess Neela. She is also said to have left balms of Arnica for the elder Paladin, Ser Althalous Fenwick, whose watch over the temple remains undisturbed.

Rumor has it that another of the temple's regular visitors has taken an interest in the girl, as well. Thus far only an uninvited interloper, the half-elven sorceress Aela had at one point snuck into a gathering deeper within the temple, and seemed both impressed by the child's talents and deeply sympathetic and worried about her plight.

However, though she shares her concerns openly with those she met in that gathering, she seems keenly aware her opinion clashes with that of the Mystrans around her. Already thinking herself in an unfavorable position after her intrusion, Aela does not bother asking to see the little sorceress in person; but there is hardly any doubt that she is displeased with what she witnessed from the Mystrans in particular, or that her inaction is not a sign of disinterest...

Neela issues a formal announcement.

The Church of Mystra will not be allowing further visitations to the child Brienne without express approval from myself or a ranking member of the Church. As Brienne's registered guardians, the Church of Mystra reserves the right to refuse and rescind visitation for any reason. Brienne is a child in need of careful guidance, protection, and mentorship. Unless there is some critical need to be addressed, we will not allow strangers to come disturb this child's care.

The Church of Mystra will not approve any visitation whose purpose is solely for any non-familial member of the general public to "get to know Brienne." Nor will the Church of Mystra approve any visitation that it believes is not appropriate for Brienne's wellbeing.

Word has it, that there will be an important event soon. Only the next day, Priestess Neela will perform an Ordaining!

So it might be wise to keep any requests to church members and the guests of this event for another time after. Still it is just good manners to -not- disturb ceremonies of this kind. Members of the temple, and their friends and partners and other peaceful guests are of course welcome. It is just asked to help let the event go as smoothly as possible, still it happens under the eyes of the godess herself...

A gathering of a few invited and some merely curious were seen within the Temple of Mystra.

Rumours spread that a small miracle was witnessed within, and a female figure was seen flying first around the temple in the rafter and then flying into the sky.

Rumours are that a large group of Mystrans, Adventurers and one particular elf who dirtied the magnificent rug within the Temple of Mystra were heard having a loud discussion.

Some Candlemark later many more were seen leaving in small separate groups, going to only the gods know where.

Outside the Temple of Mystra a gathering of couriers are seen being handed various pieces of parchment.

Shortly after this moment many of them are seen heading out of the city proper, some heading north, some south and some to destinations unknown.

Rumours have it that a large presence was seen within the temple of Mystra.

Some strange words are being spread. Another rumour is that some people leaving the meeting later in the evening were talking about some odd contraption that managed to trap an apple in a net.

Perhaps a lot of alcohol was being served during the meeting?

Yesterday Sirion appeared in the temple to talk to Lady of Mystery Neela Daren, about how Althalous Fenwick was hiding in a tent in the Greenfields with an orb that may blow up the moment he let go of it. After some hours to prepare, Sirion returned once more to teleport Acolyte Aurin to the old man, and the old man back to the temple.

So leaving Acolyte Aurin to hide in a tent in the Greenfields with an orb that may blow up the moment she let go of it.

A day later Sirion again teleported into the temple, this time alongside five others; Nathan and Ashenie from the Church of Ilmater as well as Deirde and a heavily armored helmeted man carrying a dead body. Blood spatter here and there on their armors, the Elf's robe in particular.

Lady of Mystery Neela Daren questioned their sudden appearance and, after brushing the armored man out of the temple with a broom stick, restored the dead body to life. Words were had - less so from a subdued Nathan - and the crowd eventually dispersed.
