OOC Often There is a number of in game props/clues for my plots. These only remain as temporary features while server is up. To provide an indication of when such clues are in game there will also be present an NPC 'Sparty' at FAI, and Soubar near Mudd. Also located at Market Building Sshamath Central,(When clues/drops relate to Upperdark/Underdark)
Sparty at the elfsong, implies there are specifically clues within Baldur's Gate Harbour

IE if he is in game - some plot clues will be also be present. (this may save you unnecessarily looking for things when they are not there ie no 'sparty' no clues)

Other clues are held with PCs and as persistent documents and designed to encourage RP

Information leaks from the City that the fleetless Admiral of Baldur's Gate, and an official from the docks, are reportedly due to have an important meeting with the Badgers Trading Guild.

The self same official is also said to have taken an interest in rumours of parchments found around the docks.

There has been an interest around the City and beyond in the uptake of silk, perfume, medical supplies, rare wines and unusual alchemy collections. Uniting buyers with sellers provoking a small flurry of activity among the City's entrepreneurs. Where there are goods there is profit they say.

Trade further afield in the Trollclaws grinds to a halt with increased Devil activity. Even powerfully equipped adventurers have met with some setbacks.

large gatherings of Wyverns and Xvarts to the south have not deterred determined slayers from exploring the region.

Agents of adventure have been pursuing three lost books along the Coast hoping to learn more about the Devils.

Deep within the Cloakwood Woods, Inhuman beastly screams were heard ringing closer to the time of mid-day. Silence ensued for a short time afterwards. Some adventurers apparently went to check out the source of the disturbance and reporting back that there was blood splattered at the entrance known as the hags cave.

There doesn't appear to be any obvious clues, but one however was a hurried looking gnome that was last seen at the friendly arm inn's bar. The gnome was garbed in light armour and appeared to be on the brink of insanity whilst conversing with Bentley Mirrorshade.

The night's feel much more dangerous in the area, The roads provoking a vulnerable loneliness unlike before.

Rumours spread that merchants coming from Elturel speak of, apparently, a similar attack happened to the city- much like the one which occurred before in Baldur's Gate.

Supposedly, the main target were also innocents whom were simply going about their daily business and trade- the commonfolk being the primary target. The attack happened in very much the same manner as well- two explosions on side of the street after which a third, even bigger explosion happened in the middle of the panicking crowd. Over one hundred people have died in that attack- many that have survived have been left with severe wounds and burns. Several houses were consumed by fire, as well, destroying livelihood of few merchants and families.

The citizens, overall, are supposedly both afraid and outraged at that open attack at people of Elturel. The blame for it fell on allies of the Dragonspear Castle, which only further fuelled both of the sentiments.

The High Rider and clergy of Helm's Shieldhall, the temple of Helm in Elturel, have supposedly given fervent public speeches regarding the matter, solidifying the city's opposition of the fiendish forces and anyone who allies with their unholy ilk. Word that carries around the taverns spread that the Hellriders, Temple of Helm and shrines of deities of war are now seeing an increased amount of recruits and attendants- some driven by loss, others by righteousness, and some by thirst for vengeance.

Information leaks from the City that the fleetless Admiral of Baldur's Gate, is quietly fuming at the docks, shipless, without any pirate loot, and pretty penniless, he shakes a seafaring fist at the lack of funds provided by the Badgers Traders.

There has been an interest around the City and beyond in the uptake of silk, and rumours abound that silk from the east has arrived to enhance the market, more may follow. Darius House seems to be at the centre of some silky rumours.

A more distant rumour puts the Ebon blade as unlikely heroes in this tale, while others claim they are in the midst of launching an expedition to recover old and perhaps foul artefacts. But of course rumour does not always travel well.

Trade further afield in the Trollclaws grinds to a halt with increased Devil activity. Even powerfully equipped adventurers have met with some setbacks. Indeed elements of a Krinkrak patrol clashed with scouts from the Yhogovolish Devil group, and the dwarven clan made off with gathered intelligence.

Dwarves of Clan Krinkrak, said to be on the Coast seeking their ancestral home, are rumoured to have called at the Flaming Fist outpost to the north of Baldur's Gate to warn that they have seen Devil scouts, and heard they are on the march and are intent upon taking to the offensive, using Goblins and other races to drive their attacks. These rumours are countered by the continued build up of the Flaming Fist forces. An official attempted, with mixed success, to reassure Bards hot on the trail of truth that all was well.

A scandal seeps from the Palace at Baldur's Gate where it is held there is great concern about a gaping hole in the defence plans at a time when other rumours reverberate of an impending offensive. The scandal is twofold. Funds have failed to materialise for an addition to the navy hoped to provide a strong rebuff to increased pirate activity. The newly appointed Admiral is said to have taken a cut in pay and has little more than a rented Port patrol vessel to work with but he was bold enough to reassure watchers on his first sea bound excursion that the crew were keen and in fighting spirit. The matter was made worse by the second loss as City investment in distant timber for the new fleet was lost as this new fleet was not built, and here foul play and espionage is suspected.

This, and the Devil left hook to the soft underbelly of the Gate from the Troll Claws led by the devil nicknamed Yogi must surely leave any offensive planned by the City sorely exposed to a counter attack.

There has been separate reports of a most terrible fight in the upperdark where a large Drow encampment was all but destroyed by a group of human mercenaries led it seems by a single Drow assassin of another house. The Drow house were said to be ambitious merchants with many enemies but the detail is left far below the ground.

Bellingham a Bard is due to call at Beregost, intent on delivering a play on the pages of promise in the days ahead.

Trade further afield in the Trollclaws grinds to a halt with increased Devil activity. Even powerfully equipped adventurers have met with some setbacks. The Krinkrak clan were in action again along the southern edge of the mountains helping a Flaming Fist patrol, holding a vital flank and taking on Goblin opponents of old. The Flaming Fist patrol met the Yogi head on at the hamlet of Grandhorn and were said to have perished. The Krinkrak clan and some supporting Flaming Fist retired in good grace.

A so called necromancer was heard to recant a ghost story to a group of refugees from the war zone. he warned them of the release of the Undead promise along the Coast recently. That an ancient call to the Undead had been made for them to open their eyes and see who among the living was worthy of the promise of lichdom. He had the cheek to warn them to watch this space, and to beware the march of the Undead. This to a bunch of Devil drained down on their luck seen it all and don't need any more thanks group of refugees. It is said he was paid nothing and they threw rubbish at him.

Hellish screams, the rumble of suddenly brewing weather, and three distinct, booming notes of thunder may have been heard deep in the terrain of craggy rock and barren canyon nearby Durlag's Tower, underlaid by the crackling of fire and the whipping of wind high in the sky. The origin of such curious noise seems veiled from outside sight, but if heard in echoes from a distance, the sound may very well cause the skin to prickle and the spine to stiffen in response. The atmosphere seems charged—albeit only for a short time—before something releases, resolves, and brings ultimate peace to the vicinity.

Candlekeep guards are discussing the recent incident that spilled onto The Tradeway. Seems a violent conflict between a heavily armed band of adventurers and the gnolls ended with considerable casualties on both sides. Though they admit only those present would have the details.

For the last few tendays, a small gathering of Evereskan rangers might be sighted periodically in Gullykin, participating in training drills and collaborative exercises in battlecraft with the stalwart halfling sentries of the small, hinfolk hamlet. These exercises seem to be executed in general friendship and good spirits, with ale and food shared in the town afterward.

The Golden Wheel mustered at Nashkel to move mundane trade goods north to Baldur's Gate. A large escort was formed, larger surely than the goods could economically demand. Nonetheless this proved fortunate. They had not reached Beregost when the remains of a less fortunate wagon was discovered, no doubt the escort was smaller. Some of the heroes stopped to investigate while the Golden Wheel single minded and determined not to be distracted pushed north. Some Wyverns were put to flight, and some guard rescued.

North near the Lions way the escort now reunited with the wagon found more signs of trouble - a blood trail. This time they did not pursue but drove north. Later two more wagon groups were reported missing in the area, and there was talk of Dopplegangers at work. But the Golden Wheel pushed on the escort split apart to go their own way, amicable or otherwise they were gone. The wagon wound it's weary and nervous way to safety and Baldur's Gate.

It now seems various wagon cargoes have been lost along the Coast roads and certain goods are likely to be in short supply.

Admiral Yongfall of Baldur's Gate took the opportunity to remind concerned traders the fleet stood ready and active to prevent sea routes being troubled.

Trade flowed freely along the Coast. Soubar of all places drew much of the magical items sales. Other refugees from that very place halted south of there at an old ruin along the road hoping for safety from Devil attacks near Soubar itself. These refugees were sheltered by former citizens of Soubar with a reputation for necromancy. Elsewhere along the tradeway necromancer cults, and their nemesis orders of knights were frequently at odds.

(Anyone with trade goods to rp or hand in to DM, found this month or before, might want to contact me this week)
(Anyone with Undead Tradeway tokens [reflecting player activity south of Soubar] might want to contact me this week.)

Admiral Yongfall of Baldur's Gate led a fleet of 3 ships and enhanced crews north sweeping to locate pirates and protect merchants bringing vital goods to replace the shortages earlier in the month. The fleet later returned to port declaring mission accomplished and cargo ships unloaded goods at the harbour declaring the coast is awash with goods and the markets at Baldur's Gate and beyond are by all accounts flush with success and riches. However the risk of a pirate attack remains platinum the Admiral cautioned while spies remain at large.

The Devils located in the Trollclaws dismayed at recent set backs elsewhere are rumoured to be lining up a return strike against the soft Underbelly routes to Baldur's Gate.

These are the ongoing tales of ordinary citizens along the Coast, who operate along the Coast, so if you have a quest, and if you can find me, maybe you can hire the Spartacus

Gullykin - Wizard Tower

It seems that someone has broken door to the second floor in gullykin's wizard tower. There are few scratches on the walls next to it, and some soot on the first floor.... but the tower is restored to its original state, as if nothing happened.
