About the docks, the silver haired commander of the Northern Watch could occassionally be seen. She asks after a sailor with russet colored hair and beard, bearing a heavy Illuskan accent. She then, of course nods with a roll of her eyes when met with the inevitable "That matches the description of at least half the docks, wench", explains that's really all she has to go on, and then tells the salty bastards (in more ways than one) that if they encounter a fellow of such griping about losing one of those weird kozakuran blades, to send him north- so long as he's sober.

A blonde haired half-elf can be seen outisde of Torm's temple asking to speak with anybody that was present inside it, the day a winged man spoke to the clerics. The half-elf looks determined and almost aggressive in his intentions. He presents himself as a freelancer mercenary named Edelran, nothing more is added to that.

Word from the city is that House Darius has finished the remaining construction of their estate in the East Gate district of the city. It seems likely that this will be the company's headquarters for the foreseeable future.

Not to be deterred though, the construction crews could be seen moving to the company's property in the Harbor, beginning construction on some manner on the second floor of the warehouse, the former location of the Minstrel's Muse.

Whatever this project is remains unknown to the public, but rumors circle of some manner of new business venture.

Osric of House Vale can once again be seen hunkering down in the Shelf of Many Books and consulting with the Church of Mystra. Those that pass him while he peruses the bookshelves might hear him mutter the names Lamazeeza and Crualax as his fingers run along the spines of various planar texts.

Of late, Osric can be seen mingling with locals at various establishments within the East Gate and Palace districts of Baldur's Gate.

In the Palace District, Osric sports formal finery befitting a courtier. He speaks respectfully with nobility and other patrons of the Helm & Cloak, the Seven Suns Mercantile Shop, and trades whispers with others at the Shelf of Many Books. As he engages the gentry in conversation, he pays particular attention to stories of corruption on the part of any local lords and is similarly attentive should he come across any rumors of nobles in distress or in need of aid.

In the East Gate District, the Neverwintan adopts more casual attire. He carouses with patrons of the Elfsong, the Blade & Stars, and House Darius. Again, he pays special attention to stories of locals in need, peasants suffering from financial stress or those in the throes of famine and hunger. If any of these troubles are blamed upon a lord or lady in particular, Osric would be sure to get their name.

During a brief return visit to the city, a notable hin business woman would be seen in the lower class parts of the Harbour district winding her way through the residential streets. After a while, she joins up with a few other elderly ladies walking the cobbled paveway, as a clucky banter begins to surround them. Eventually they arrive at a house and as they open the door, laughter and mirthful cheer can be heard escaping the doorway rapidly, like a small child would try and dodge a cheek pinching aunt. Those local to the parts would nod knowingly to each other, especially the unattended men of the evening, that another Nanna's Knitting Circle moot is in session.

Word would spread among the harbor and other parts of the city that the Siren's Song is offering free drinks to Fist, due to their involvement in the ongoing war and the ship's support of the city's troops.

Rumor might also spread of the Captain of the Siren's Song, Fenix Wandersoul, wanting to get more involved with the front lines, although how he intends to do so is drawn into question.

Jay was seen in quick exodus from the Darius Estate to the Eastern Gate Marketplace, a caged rat clutched in his hand. He murmured soothingly to the frightened rodent, trying to calm it after its cruel ordeal inside the building. Fingal Darius followed like a spectre on his heels.

"Jay, don't come back. You're not welcome anymore, you filthy, one-eyed, slimy bastard."

"'Cause your resident animal abuser doesn't like me?" Jay snapped over his shoulder, but Fingal had already disappeared back into the lavish estate, and the albino tiefling's words went unheard by the intended target.

"What? They kicked you out?" called Teris, the flamesoul druid, as he hurried out the door just after it shut behind Fingal's retreat.

"Guess he went back inside after barring me for not playing nice with his animal abuser," Jay grunted as Teris freed the rat from its cage while Jay was still looking around the marketplace, trying to decide where to set the critter free. His attention turned to the druid. "Can you speak to animals?"

"Yes," said Teris, cradling the rat in his hands and communing with it. After several heartbeats, he said, "The docks."

Jay and Teris headed towards the seedy waterfront, the latter holding the scared creature against his chest.

"The poor thing probably has internal injuries. Can you heal it?" Jay asked.

"Yes." Teris channeled gentle healing magicks from his fingertips into the rodent. It relaxed considerably.

When they arrived near The Blushing Mermaid, Teris set the rat down and it scurried off to a nearby alleyway.

"No good deed goes unpunished," Jay muttered, rubbing the bridge of his nose.

Tonight, body of a dead red-clad warrior was delievered to the temple of Ilmater by a one-eyed tiefling fighter and an elven white-haired duelist. Only few won't recognize him as none other than Thedran, a famous war hero. Many people visited him and in the end his body was brought to the Radiant Heart Chapterhouse by sir Gaven, the order's Grandmaster. Something about a duel and Ebon Blades floats in the air, while Thedran's further fate remains unknown.

Word on the docks is that the small crew of the Whistling Wanderess has spent the 9th of Flamerule doing ship-side maintenance, many of it underwater, presumably to shave the lady of her beard.

It is also said that Acting-Captain Dacino, appointed by Captain Ostirel, is looking for crew of both able sailor and marine inclination.

Sightings of activity about the Wanderess continue. Some say they intend to join the hunt for pirates.

Some sailors would speak of a generous captain, one whose cut of booty is equal across all ranks and seniority, but also includes the ship herself in the matter as a lady of her own. Some also say the captain takes no cut of her own. Whether such generosity is just hearsay or not, remains to be seen.
