A fat dwarf can be seen getting off the wagon, and waddling around the market and tavern of Kraak Helzak. He peruses the wares, as well as the dwarves walking around Kraak Helzak with patience.
He could be seen sitting at the bar, slowly drinking an ale for quite some time.

When asked, he would say that he is a merchant looking for "things of value".

Three visitors, Lord Aaron Lyonaler, Lord Osric Vale, and Valduil Feralen, were greeted at the gates of Kraak Helzak by the "King's Hammer" Bhor. After pleasantries, all entered the Kingdom proper, making their ways to be presented to the King and his advisors. Some time later the guest left the presence of King Dovkin Battlehammer, thanked Bhor and teleported back to the city of Baldur's Gate.

A royal march

King Dovkin Battlehammer departs Kraak Helzak with most of his King's Guard and a large retinue of soldiers, heading north towards Waterdeep. As the large procession passes by the citizens of Kraak Helzak, cheers and praises to the Morndinsamman are heard. Rumours say the King goes to sign an agreement with Lord Piergeiron Paladinson.

A small procession of dwarves move through the gates of Kraak Helzak, carrying one of their fallen on a makeshift stretcher. A dwarf some might know more by his odd choice of face-themed helmet and his booming voice, Dorgnar Umberdeep has died in action. He is told to have been fighting alongside his kin against the rising number of strange monsters roaming the countrysides of the Coast in these Troubled Times, holding the line alone at a chokepoint after the group was caught in a sudden ambush, in an effort to buy his comrades time to ready themselves as various wards and spellcasting went terribly awry.

"CLANGEDDIN WATCHES! CLANGEDDIN BE WITH US STILL!" He was said to have roared out as he made his final stand.

The battle was won and the fellowship survived. All except Dorgnar himself. The dwarven people have one less Defender, but perhaps one more tale to be told at campfires and taverns.

A new face was seen ambling about the city recently.

Image

Anyone who asked after him was told he was Hruthnar Gromspite, recently moved from Sundabar and had been sent by a friend, Sane, and a fellow dwarf, Guldir, to meet the locals and see the city.

And of course...

He sampled the local while he was there.

Drinmar Ironfaar sends word that he has brewed a dozen elixers which offer immunity to acid for 24 hours as well as some greater stoneskin elixers and delivered them to Doron Amar. He intends to make more but each elixer takes time and about 1900 coin worth of ingredients to create so there are limits to how many can be produced.

A lithe and slender woman enters the Burning Troll tavern in Kraak Helzaak as the moon sails above the Troll Claws amidst its nightly voyage. Announcing herself by the bar as the Moonlights Muse and carrying a peculiar and brightly shimmering lantern, she states loudly she is seeking a friend, Master Bhor Stonecutter and beams a warm smile at those whom would lend her their attention.

Though the dwarf in question is absent, the senior Selûnite priestess offers a round of ale for all within the establishment and takes to the vacant stage with a drum in hand, addressing those present in a fluent dwarven with a heavy northern dialect.

"Fair and stout people from wide and far, I pray your ale shall flow in endless rivers and the gleaming metal underground shall follow in equal measure, I apologise for interupting your evening, yet there is no place quite like a dwarven tavern to raise the spirits afore another day of toiling in the mines and guarding the hold."

"Many a brave dwarf I have called friend back home and honored I have been to share in tales and songs of Old Delzoun and the most splendid of nothern holds beneath the ground, the fabled Mithral Hall. One such song has ever since been my favorite and always does it come to mind as I taste the dwarven brew upon the tip of my tongue. Rare as it is, that I perform songs I have not written myself, this one I shall pray is heard as far and wide here in the south, as it is back home. From Mirabar to the Citadel Adbar, this song has emboldened more than the stout folks I am so fond of, so by all means sing along and raise your mugs to the masters of stone and steel."

Reverting back to common, she creates an upbeat rhythm on her drum, putting emphasis on the last beat of every bar as her voice rings loudly through out the establishment.

"We've dug our holes and hallowed caves!
Put goblin foes in shallow graves!
This day our work is just begun!
In the mines where silver rivers run!"

"Beneath the stone the metal gleams!
Torches shine on silver streams!
Beyond the eyes of the spying sun!
In the mines where silver rivers run!"

"The hammers chime on Mithral pure!
As dwarven mines in days of yore!
A craftsman's work is never done!
In the mines where silver rivers run!"

"To dwarven gods we sing our praise!
Put another orc in a shallow grave!
We know our work has just begun!
In the land where silver rivers run!"

Upon finishing the dwarven song, the Selûnite laughs softly and approaches the barkeep once more, offering her a generous tip to relay the message to Master Bhor that Shandril Brightmantle would like a word. She departs soon after with her peculiar lantern in hand, humming softly as she carelessly wanders in to the troll claws in her silken royal blue dress.
Shandril Brightmantle
"Life is but a mystery to revel in, let the stars guide you through the mist."
Lia'Dris Maendellyn
"We remember cities now in ruin and forests murdered, yet still we sing to the stars and hope for renewal."

After several weeks of work Drinmar received word that his gift for King Dovkin Battlehammer was ready. He had commissioned a royal robe for the king from Netanya of House Divine. House Divine also provided a suitably royal set of garments as their way of paying respect to the king. With the success of Drinmar's alchemical pursuits there was spare coin to afford such extravagancies.
