Members of the Public,

The Everwatch invite all of lawful and good intent to participate in the first public class of the Everwatch Training School to take place at the northern Amnian town of Nashkel on the 7th of Alturiak ((February 7, 2016 at 18:00 GMT)). There, members of the Everwatch will be training with non-Everwatch in a martial social environment in areas of morality, leadership, drill & ceremony, tactics, discipline, and martial cultural. This is meant to build cohesion among all participating and to make better and more vigilant guardians of us all.

While the school is not-for-profit, a donation per participant will be required to cover school costs and to aid in various charitable causes.

1. Telling the Story of our First Battle or Watch

An icebreaker telling each other stories of our first battle or watch duty.

2. Gauging Each Others' experience

Speaking of each members martial experience.

3. Why We Fight and Watch

Going over the reasoning why each of us fight and watch our charge and building that into our overall group values of why we fight and watch as is our duty.

4. Drill and Ceremony

We will practice drill and ceremony together, with each member getting chance to command our training platoon.

5. Fighting in Formation

We will drill in various fighting formations depending on the enemy, giving each present a chance to command the training platoon.

6. Fighting Techniques

We will practice fighting the enemy with a weapon, without a weapon, alone, as a group, with magic, and without magic.

7. Strength and Endurance Training

We will as a training platoon running group run laps and strength train with weights and blocked tackles. We may also play a game of "capture the shield".

8. Healing Training

We will practice combat medicine techniques and how to do so safely and how to carry a wounded comrade to safety.

9. Morality in Combat

How to maintain good and lawful disposition in the trials of war and battle and martial duty.

10. Outdoor Survival Techniques

How to setup a basic outdoor camp and secure it against wildlife and monsters. How to pack for different length trips in the wild. How to respect sentient beings and life in the the environment and maintain an altruistic attitude towards nature balanced by care for the needs of civilization.

11. Caravan Guarding

How to guard a caravan on the Trade Way: tactics and methods.

12. Patrolling Techniques

Techniques and best practices to use when patrolling in the wild.

13. Following and Leading

When to follow and when to lead.

14. When to Fight, Make Peace, or Retreat

Knowing when to make battle or not.

15. Confidence versus Arrogance

Going over and practicing confident humility versus arrogance.

16. Decisive versus Indecisive

When careful planning is harmful versus prudent.

17. Capstone Patrol

A patrol to Mount Speartop or the Nashkel mines.

Rumor spreads that three training platoons of the Everwatch Training School were initiated, trained, and dismissed. In total, roughly twenty or so adventurers seemed to have attended and rotated in and out of leader and follower positions, with various school instructors. It is said that there were discussions during and after the public school to possibly coordinate joint martial instruction with other regional martial organizations, with the specifics left up to those that were on hand.

On 7th Alturiak, in the Year of the Dragon, 1352 DR, the Everwatch convened a public martial training company in Nashkel at the Temple of the Guardian as part of the Everwatch Training School. The Everwatch Training Company was lead by company commanding officer (CO) Head Watchknight Wai Li of the Everwatch and by company executive officer (XO) Captain Reine of the Everwatch. Besides these rumors, some might hear of other training happenings conducted as summarized below.

The company was divided up into three training platoons and then ordered into the wilds around Nashkel to begin martial training under various Everwatch and non-Everwatch martial leaders making up the training company and its respective platoons:

1st Platoon, under platoon commander Captain Reine and platoon executive officer and guest trainer Knight-Commander Eldarian. Nicknamed the Blightbotherers. Training in the lands north of Nashkel and south of Beregost. Trained in drill and ceremony, combat formations, and unit leadership and tactics.

2nd Platoon, under platoon commander Head Watchknight Wai Li, platoon executive officer Squire Eleanor, guest trainer Commander Terri, and guest trainer Celasorsan of Doron Amar. Nicknamed the Guardians. Training nearby and above the Nashkel Mines. Trained in drill and ceremony, combat formations, and unit leadership and tactics.

3rd Platoon, under platoon commander Watchknight Lucian Vanguard and platoon executive officer Watchknight Klait Goldwind. Nicknamed the Vigilants. Training nearby the Nashkel Mines and in the crystal cave to the west of it. Trained in drill and ceremony, combat formations, and unit leadership and tactics.

It is rumored that the Everwatch will be leading a significant expedition to Mount Speartop in Amn to investigate disturbing developments related to a dragon cult and its white wyrm master said to reside there. It is said that organizations and individuals looking to volunteer should leave their name and affiliation on a sign up document posted at the Temple of the Guardian in Nashkel.
