An armored halfling, to some known as Theadric Trickshot, appeared out of nowhere outside the gates of Gullykin, his armor full of giant holes. The hin looked genuinely bewildered, staring down at what used to be a functional heavy shield - now a piece of metal with a giant hole in the middle. After the odd arrival, he waddled into Gullykin, small pieces of the armor falling off, only to be picked up by the hin.

Theadric Trickshot nails a parchment to the door of the Yondalla's Cornucopia Tavern.
The dwarves of Kraak Helzak have requested willing- and capable halflings to aid against the troll threat of the north. If you should find yourself fitting those criteria, prepare accordingly, and await the word. I will post a new parchment when I receive an update.

The self-proclaimed guardian of Gullykin, Theadric Trickshot, might be seen sharing a hug with his four sisters, before being waved off at the gates. He wore light clothing and an enormous backpack, seemingly going on a long journey. He paused briefly to have one last glimpse at his beloved home, before heading north.

A new face has started to be frequently seen among the Hin of Gullykin. A Red-haired Arcanist, wearing a pendant of the Black Hound, would spend a considerable amount of time scouring the Crypts underneath the small Township. Always early to enter, and leaving only a good bit later, covered in bone-dust. Those that caught her for an idle chat would quickly be told that she took it as her own task to -try- to cleanse these Crypts, to remove one threat to her kin. Or at least, to reduce the undead populace so it would not become a more dire one.

Mallile, the youngest of the Trickshot family, would approach the brave Hin and offer her a box of various food and drink and invite her to stay at the Trickshot household. The rather awkward and shy Mallile would only share a few words before going back home.

A wandering Hin by the name of Panlos Pawfoot entered Gullykin this day, eager to hear word of relations between the village and his own, Corm Orp. He nosed around, speaking with his "cousins" of no particular blood relation.

At a certain point, he gained word of the present nuisance of the lizards of giant form with a paralyzing gaze living nearby, which at times caused concern to the village. "I can reason with the beasts of the world..." boasted Panlos, soon making his way east from the village to do just that.

The reality though, was nothing he could say via his connection with Nature could reach the lizard brains, and though he tried, he could not control his own form to replicate that of the beasts themselves, perhaps finding an angle therein, to dissuade the lizards from being pests.

It was an inevitable battle, thus. But what had to be done, was done. And Panlos, unleashing his inner Wild Spirit, enlarged himself above the basilisks, and under clawed hand and foot, he culled the dry hills as best he could, in an attempt to diminish the issue.

"Cousin...there is fur coming out of your ears...and look!" explained the Gullykin villager, "I see whiskers on your nose!"

Panlos tried to stare down the length of his nose at this comment, and his eyes widened and then he smiled—for something he had imagined from within, now appeared to be manifesting without.

But as Panlos looked up at the villager, and saw the rising worry and fear upon said villager's face, the Pawfoot turned his visage away, and began what could only be described as trotting away towards the village walls.

Later, on this day as the full moon did crest the hills, wolven howls were heard in the hills below Durlag's Tower and the ridge of Gullykin, echoing in the canyons....

After the horrid scream of Mystra's demise rang out through the Realms, the Homefellow Wisica Weatherbee returned to the village of Gullykin. She walks door-to-door through the evening in the usual garb common to those of her faith - a brown rustic-looking set of robes with a deep golden belt - setting out to ease troubled and frightened minds and to help tend to the needs of the burrows. She offers assurances that the village and the hin people will make it through these Troubled Times.

"It has always been the truth that we Quick Folk have survived and prospered largely by our propensity for sticking together in Community and caring for the Friends and Family we have within. We need only continue in doing what we do best; Stick together, stand by- and care for oneanother and for our Hearths and Homes. In doing this, we will all make it out of this just fine. This will pass, like all calamities do. And when it does - we will face the new dawn with our heads held high, friends and family by our sides - our ways of life unfettered of these dark times."

She spends the rest of her evening's free time in solemn prayer to Cyrrollalee, praying as much for the people of the village as for those she had recently lost, as well as the safety of her goddess - offering even Her a safe haven in this Home on the Coast.

There's rumors of a bardess, matching with the same description of the bardess singing her songs in Baldur's Gate and the Friendly Arm, making her stop in Gullykin, singing a few songs to cheer people up and to try to increase the people's faith in the Gods. Hins may have spotted her coming from Beregost, so she probably was there as well!
She wasn't alone, escorted by two adventurers or mercenaries. Her stay wasn't long but not particularly brief - and she delighted in staying close with the small folks, singing more songs than she did in Beregost near their inn - singing for all the interested hins in her songs.

She clearly did her best to bring morale up for all the people there. The bardess, with the curious feathered orange hat, would have eventually left the town. Some would have sworn to have seen her walking toward Amn, but others mentioned she actually went back to the Friendly Arm. Whatever the case, she left Gullykin with a bright smile upon her face.

If asked, she would have replied (almost) exactly like in Baldur's Gate, at the Friendly Arm and in Beregost: "The Gods are among us and they can't be everywhere. They always helped us when They could, it's our turn to help Them now. Let's sing, and let's make our song reach the ears of the Overgod. Let's make Him hear our love for Them, for our families and for our own souls."

For those not knowing the songs above, these are the songs I inspired myself to. I changed a few fitting words (for the Dr. Who song at least... The other Credits go to the awesome singer Jillian Aversa!) to the setting and the time the players are living on. Enjoy!

Music starts at 0:21 for the first song.

After being energized by an unhealthy amount of bread, the woman in the fox mask teamed up with a group of adventurers to take on Durlag Tower... that is, until a white dragon was spotted flying towards Gullykin! The group rushed to the area, and met the dragon standing on a hill with a worg-riding goblin. The goblin claimed to be terrifying and powerful, with his magical staff, threatening to bestow his mighty power onto the adventuring group. The dragon called this goblin his champion, and challenged the adventurers to have their champion fight his. The dragon chose the woman in the fox mask, and she happily obliged after she stopped dancing around her campfire. The fox woman prepared herself as the dragon flew into the sky to observe to fight from above. She stepped forward, ready to protect her companions. The stench coming from the goblin was gut-wrenching. It burned her eyes and made her sniffer cry in agony. But she had to do it. She had to protect!

The battle was long. The goblin and his worg got their spear and claws into her, but she persisted. Even in the pouring rain, the putrid smell of the goblin was noxious. She gagged under the mask. In the midst of battle, she would go to another side of the hill to get fresh air in her lungs. It rejuvenated her. It gave her hope for less-smelly days ahead. It was enough to push her through to the end. And soon, the worg fell, the goblin tumbling after it. With a few strikes from her halberd, the dragon's champion had been defeated!

The woman in the fox mask shouted in victory, raising her halberd in the air. She and her companions enjoyed the spoils of the fallen goblin as the dragon flew away. With the help of the party's mage, they were able to identify that the staff the goblin boasted about was indeed not the staff he claimed it to be. It was a stinky, but strong spear. It was gifted by her companions as a trophy. Her very first trophy! The woman in the fox mask carried it with pride back to the Friendly Arm Inn. The day had been victorious! And stinky! But it was nothing a nice, hot bath couldn't remedy!

Word spreads of blood and fire on the winds in the southern region of the Coast.

The peaceful eve of the 27th of Ches was disturbed as the remote town of Gullykin came under attack from a host of Xvarts. The alarm bell rang wildly throughout the night as the invaders sat the valley and the village's walls on fire with explosives, quickly smothering the region in smoke and ash. Defenders rushed out to meet the onslaught of a Xvart horde that proved to number in the hundreds, opposed by brave stalwarts, locals and travellers who took up arms in defiance of cruel savagery.

After the initial waves were held off, a small force consisting of three halflings and a tiefling were sent to confront the insistent aggressors at their source and to determine the state of the village of Murkshire. Trails of the group's passage were left all over their path from Gullykin along the road between Beregost and Amn - marked in equal by the fiery devastation brought by the blueskinned malefactors as well as by their many bodies littering the roads and wilds alike.

While details are few of what occurred at the illfated village of Murkshire, one thing was clear. The village is no more, slaughtered to the last and burnt to the ground. The group had returned covered in soot and blood, dragging with them the colossal head of a black dragon.

The village's Homefellow priestess that had joined forces with the group appeared devastated by what had occurred. She stumbled off towards private quarters, despondent and unresponsive. There she would remain for days, taking no visitors.

At the eve's end Gullykin remained standing without loss of life, though the same could not be said for all on the Coast.

Rumors spread from Gullykin that the tiefling Vice Archon of the Myradon Vindicators, had appeared outside the Temple of Kossuth barely alive one day. She did not even make it to the temple doors before collapsing to the ground in a bloody mess. What's surprising is that despite all the lacerations and blood loss this tiefling endured, the clerics of the temple would find her will to live unwavering. As if it was a flame that could not be extinguished.

Needless to say, the tiefling was taken into the temple and has not come out since that day.

Rumors spread from the temple of Kossuth that the masked tiefling and Vice archon of the Myradon Vindicators has started to regain consciousness after weeks of being unresponsive. It is safe to say she will make a full recovery in time, though she has not opened her eyes yet. But something seems different about her now. Like some shadow has been lifted from her perhaps? One can only guess for the time being.

Rumor has it that the Vice Archon Na'Karia is seen entering the Temple of Kossuth after coming from the direction of Firewine Bridge. She takes her mask off as she enters the temple then leaves it by the door before she takes her time moving through the Firewalk. As if letting each step burn her bare feet more than normal. After her walk over the burning coals, she turns on her heels then starts the walk yet again at a slower pace this time and repeats the walk once more til she eventually ceases and sits at a pew. Treating her burnt feet not with to much magic, but mostly with normal medical supplies.

A crisis of faith

In the eve of the 7th of Eleint, the villagers of Gullykin fell silent as the recently returned resident Homefellow slowly wandered through the town - her walking stick tapping away onto the ground as she went. The usually cheerful priestess would seem lost and forlorn, not even responding to greetings hesitantly given her way by the confused townsfolk.

She stopped briefly at the pen of one of the rescued town animals during her sorrowful meandering, murmuring a few words before she continued elsewhere.

Image

Her wandering came to it's stop in the town tavern, where she seated herself with several Belbuck ales in a quiet corner. There, she began drinking herself into a stupor that would not seem to improve her mood in the slightest. Just before her departure to retire for the night, she was seen giving a tearful glance at the holy symbol hanging from her neck. She was not seen the next morning in the town, on what would have been an expected return to her tradition of baking of fresh bread for a communal town weekend breakfast.
