The precise Rite.

Unread post by The_Nightingale »

Candles, Six items of nature, flowers, stones, crystals, moss, branches and shells. Two pieces of parchment, a stick of sage and dried herbs, tied into a fan.

A quiet place on a glade, a calming breeze, a cooling mind. Breaths, deep. Awareness, limited. Intentions, clearl.

A built altar. A candle placed in the centre, items of nature placed in the four cardinal directions, one below for mother earth and one above for sun, stars and the moon. One more item of significance in the middle.

Sage upon the skin, over a small brazier smoke flows. A fan of herbs directs it, smoke covering the body.

A shaman’s call towards South, for letting go and beginning the flow of life.
A call towards the West, for facing fear with love.
A call towards the North, for living in joy and in connection to our ancestors.
A call towards the East for grounding, relation and abundance.

Father Sky, Grandmother Moon and the Stars, hear our reverence to the spirit world.

Time passes in meditation, a connection established with the soft soil beneath and calming breeze above. Parts of the mind are released, blocking emotion purged. Main question remains:
What no longer serves you in life?” Parchment holds the written words of things to let go. It is placed onto the altar.

Honor yourself. Sitting in meditation, I am whole. Invite new into your life, write the invitation onto the parchment, place it onto the altar.

Observe. Stay soft, open, receptive. The parchment tied to an arrow. An arrow fired towards the sky, message sent.

Close the sacred space, honor the four directions. Honor the sky, honor the earth. Honor the ancestors, honor the guide. Honor yourself.

A rite completed with precision.
