Something is pushing back against the plague in the foothills; small patches of healing and new life resist the necrotic spread. It seems concentrated near the ruins to the South East.

It never takes long for the purging to be reclaimed by the sickness and pestilence in the land, but the efforts never seem to let up.

Locals observe a lone one eyed ranger purchasing a week's worth of supplies from Hunter Harrow in preparation for the perilous climb to the peak of Mount Speartop. The rough-featured man is tight lipped about his business there, with certain individuals putting him down as a pilgrim and a lunatic.

Atop the summit, he pitches camp near the dread Snow Deep Cave, deftly evading Icehauptannarthanyx's brood and subsisting on the snow hares and ibexes that call these mountains their home. Offerings of food and drink are left outside the cave every day at sunrise but are always fatefully filched by the lesser scavengers prowling the area.

He dares not venture within but keeps watchful vigil outside, waiting for something or someone to emerge from the cave mouth to greet him. Clutching a silver amulet in his right hand.

A large white Winterwolf could be seen in the cloudpeaks, followed by a canine. The two fought through yetis and other monsters about, though the wolf and canine did take some time to frolic a bit in the snow. They eventually made their way to the Temple of Auril, where the winterwolf shifted into a green haired man. The man and canine entered the temple, and stayed within for some time. Eventually, they stepped out, to head back north.

And the wolf that shall keep it may prosper, but the wolf that shall break it must die."

Outside of the Frost Keep, a pair of warriors exited the place after raiding the interior, a tall bronze skinned woman and a stout dwarf, both wearing insignias of House Vale, found themselves surrounded by an army of the undead.

There wasn't much of a talk between the two parties.

"We will let you pass if you let us pass" said a halfling covered in wards, who was acompanied, by another wizard and a dwarf, wearing symbols of Myrkul and necromancy.

"Your call" Said the woman to the dwarf.

"No necromancin' around here" said the Dwarf.

A battle started, and immediatly, one of the mages blasted the woman away, leaving her near death....The dwarf stood and fought them for several minutes, but he too was overwhelmed by their numbers and magic...Both left for dead, gravely wounded, miraculously managed to make it back to Nashkel, aided by Hunter Harrow on the way back.

A group of bantits ((bugbears and Ogres, mostly)) were spotted on the Road South of Beregost to Nashkel. They were led by a Frost Giant. THeir motives remain unclear.

They were stopped and defeated by a Knight in gold armour. They say the knight is now recruiting adventurers to join him in his search for the Frost King. It seems the Frost Giant leading the bandits was a lieutenent of some sort to said King.

Deep in the mines near the town of Nashkel. A small contingent of outsiders ventured from deep within the mines and make their way to the surface.

The first group was stopped by a man claiming to be a traveler through Amn as he converses with the local rangers in the area of what he saw.

Dragons attack!

Unread post by yyj »

In the heights of Amn Cloudpeaks, a group of dwarven warriors accompanied by two bards was returning from a raid in the frost giant lands.

On their way back to civilization though, they were stopped by an avalanche, but this avalanche wasn't of snow and ice but rather dragon, a big number of younger dragons descended flying from the Speartop and attacked the dwarven company, to whom a horned tiefling joined afterward to battle the dragons together.

Image

After defeating the first wave of dragons, a bigger dragon descended, enormous wings buffeted the area creating many winds agitating air elementals around.

The gruesome battle lasted for some time, with the dwarven company & friends emerging victorious.

Afterwards, they marched themselves to the dragon's lair, where they faced another dragon, to finally return after some hours to Nashkel, sharing the tales of the battle of the dwarven company and the white dragons of the Cloudpeak mountains.

Image

Thanks to the brave dwarves & friends, the mountains are a warmer place, for now.

After leaving the city of Baldur's Gate, the Mute Knight moves south.

After spending a night a the Friendly Arm he continues moving towards Beregost, and then Nashkel.

Wherever he is going, he is heading far from Baldur's Gate.

He keeps a number of his belongings, clearly expecting to be away for a long time, if not forever.

Should any adventurer elect to explore the ruins of Ulcaster they would likely happen upon the slain corpse of a female drow strewn upon the ground next to the makeshift encampment inside the ruins. The drow would be found with several frost tipped arrows impaled in her face. A closer inspection of the scene would lead an insightful adventurer to deduce the drow was evidently slain where she sat at point blank range. A shield and blade likely belonging to the drow would be found neatly situated next to the stump where the drow likely sat before her apparent execution. Evidence would suggest the drow made no effort to defend itself and likely just accepted it’s inevitable fate.

A figure on the shadow carefully lifts the drow, taking the blade with hers as well, the body is taken somwehre in the snowy mountains, those trying to follow using non magical means would find out that there are no tracks of them in the general area. Through a lonely trail, the trace is lost and they are found elsewhere in the world, through magic.

In the night, and leading into the daytime of Amn, a lone werewolf was spotted by travelers hunting along the roads around Nashkel. While no people were harmed, the same could not be said for nearby creatures. Wyverns, Xvarts and any other manner of creature that dared show aggression to the lycanthrope were added to the bodies strewn along its path. By midday, the creature was nowhere to be seen, yet the carnage of its visit remained.

South of Nashkel, the road into the heart of Amn one has to pass through high mountains. In these mountains the white snow domain, there are many favored of Auril around.

A group of these are the frost giants, in the mountains they have several outposts controlled each one by a warlord (sometimes king), many of these outposts are high up at impossible locations where a non-giant would barely be able to go into, but there's one outpost, called Frost Keep that is accesible through the main road in the mountains.

Here the most fierce battles are had against giant kind, adventurers and many others for different reasons constantly raid and attack this frost keep, which keeps getting reinforced through the other ice giant outposts.

A group of adventurers search their fortune in the Frost Keep when they suddenly find something strange inside the keep.

A calling diagram of undead and beasts of flesh and darkness

The group did their best to disjunct and dispel this diagram of darkness, though first it erupted horrors that battled the adventurers.

Finally thanks to the sorceress skill, the portal exploded and closed.

After the long and gruesome battle, the group of adventurers decided to leave the place, just to encounter those responsible for such calling diagram just outside the keep.

Their intentions? To take over frost keep.

Image

It didn't take long before the present were aggravated by the presence of the undead, and after a well placed firebomb in the face of a lich, all that remained from the battle was smoke that soon was covered by the snow.

A few months after his climb to mount Speartop, the ranger returns to leave a bouquet of white anemones outside the dread cave. He only lingers for a few moments of somber reflection, ever careful not to attract undue attention from the mountain's denizens. Following his departure, the flowers are quickly claimed by ice and frost.
