The young knight Zaelphion Devress can be seen sparring with any soldier willing to practice in Nashkel, to both test them and prepare them and himself for the next attack.

He was also seen at the local tavern offering a round of ale to the townsfolk "to offer a smile in this times of fear", with him at the tavern a woman wearing the blue robes of Candlekeep, the local hero Hoppy Toadsmeadow and Frin of the Golden Wheel.

Recently an Aasimar of Mondaic Deva blood, can be seen residing in Nashkel, and often visiting the temple for prayer or other business. He seems quiet, mostly keeping to himself and always watching for the dead.

The Everwatch is seen very active in Nashkel the past few days, patrols led by the Commander Wai Li to watch for amnian supply lines and keeping the peace in the area are succesful.

The faithful of Helm would be smiling.

After the battle of Dragonspear, high up in the mountains of the Cloud Peaks, there is a rumor of a man who walked onto Speartop alone and has not returned... There is a low, harmonious and pulsing thrum that emanates across the mountains...

A halfling woman, dressed in purple and maroon finery can be seen meeting with Aliella Falconsflight of the Belching Dragon in Nashkel. Those paying close attention would note that a lengthy business-like chat was had before the pair would shake hands and part amicably.

Adrian Baker arrives in Nashkel around midday, his left side covered in recently dried blood. He approaches one of the guards with a solemn expression on his face. He informs the guard that pilgrims were attacked by Xvarts on the road to Beregost, and one of them taken prisoner. He managed to free the captive, but during their escape from the village, they were ambushed, and the captured man killed by his capturers. The body of the man has been delivered to his family, a lone woman, on the road near the southern farms. Adrian asks that the guards send a priest to see her so the man may be properly buried, and suggests increasing the patrols for a time.

Four travelers from the North paid for a room at the Nashkel Inn and locked themselves in, staying quiet there for many hours.

...Then, in the middle of the night, heart-rending otherworldly screams emerged out of the building, followed by intense barrage of arcane spells and sounds of fierce fighting. A hooded figure in white was seen leaving the room once it was over, a red-haired tiefling scholar followed soon after with two more persons remaining at the room for the night despite all the havoc before.

A burnt couch would be found in the room afterwards, but no single remain of whatever horrible creature made appearance here — if there was one at all?

Rumor has it that the sound of might and magic had casted bright lights into the sky from the heart of the Cloud-peak mountains. Sound of the fighting would have echoed on for many hours lighting up the frigid sky with a-many illumination of colors. After some time the sound of battle had finally come to a halt only leaving with it the triumphant moan of the dead to break the silence.

Not long after a halfling wearing battered and bloody armor limped north, wearing a grim expression on his face.

Rumor spreads of an small army of bone behemoths marching along the mountains of the Cloud Peaks. A few wandering travelers may have spread tale of the bone giants seemingly cornering a man outside the passage-way into the domains of the ice giants. Tales speak that no battle was fought and no blood was shed however something more, silent and sinister dawned upon the aura of conversation.

A hin leading the dead and a blind man seeking a vision he cannot see.

Melissar does several rounds south of Nashkel near the ruins on the hill giant encampment, investigating the ruins as she passes by, then going back to rest near the campfire.

A woman dressed in many charms, talismans, feathers, and bones can occasionally be seen riding astride horse with a large bundle on the Trade Way down south past Nashkel, into somewhere in the Cloud Peaks. When she returns north, the bundle is gone. These journeys take place during the night, but the woman carries no lamp nor torch, and she responds to no hails if approached. Those who question around Nashkel would learn that this woman was recently involved in a public disturbance outside the Temple of Helm, acting crazed and stabbing at a grave with a knife before running off. This event occurred the same day as a cult mass murder was discovered in the basement of the Belching Dragon inn. One of the Watchpriests at the temple, a man shaken by nightmares, would note, if asked, that the same woman came with a moon elf woman and a human man to ask him questions about something in the Cloud Peaks that day, and that she has been delivering him herbal remedies to help his sleep since then.

(( These rumors are part of an ongoing DM Vukodlak plot. Any questions should be directed towards him. ))

Travelers will notice a strange phenomenon occurring in the rolling foothills beyond the gates of Nashkel, near the base of the Cloud Peak mountains. Much of the land there has become thick with mud, almost swamp-like, which is highly unnatural for the rather cold-prone and dry valley area. They would also note the unmistakable stench of decaying plant and other biological matter, with many of the hill giants and other native occupants carrying the visible signs of disease in the form of open lesions and gaunt, feverish appearances. Some form of malign corruption seemed to be taking firm hold in the land, though Nashkel itself was thus far unaffected. (DM Vukodlak)

Whispers speaking of strange sightings in the Cloud Peaks foothills spread throughout Nashkel. They speak of humanoid figures roaming like ghosts behind trees and rolling hills under the blanket of a moonlit night. Other whispers speak of similar figures standing sentry, their shapes silhouetted against the night sky behind their vantage points from higher ground. At dawn there are no trace of the rumored figures. Not even a single foot print.

Over the coming days the whispers propagate as more and more sightings are made in the dark of night. Yet still no proof is found that the figures were even there. Hunters, trappers, and other woodsmen will, however, note that some animals are faring better than others. How and why is not easily determined, as there is no discernable pattern to this

There is one unusual sign, however, if one looked closely through the brambles; a small patch of grass a little lusher than usual, obscuring a circle of stones that had been pressed into the ground. Some sort of brief ritual had taken place, though it’s purpose was unknown to any but those able to read the Druidic tunes etched onto the rock.

Justin Truehill steps up his regular patrols around Nashkel on hearing rumours of strange activity. A regular self professed Road warden along the Tradeway he is drawn south. He notes any more obvious changes the subtlety of land changes and Druid activity lost to him. Nonetheless he remains alert and active watching mostly ready to bring Lathander's light to the dark, a vigilant force for values.
