A group of armed men would be seen leaving Mist Lake and venturing on path leading to surface. Their lips carrying plans of avoiding some Gala held in Soubar they left little to no hint as to where they were going, speaking only of potential lore they were looking for in some ruins.
Gone for a good few hours, the group would return covered in blood, mud and stench of undeath. Meager, paler than usual yet smiling as they made their way back into Upperdark. Expressions growing more considerate of their surroundings as they descended into the bowels of Underdark. One of them, a faern, would walk supporting himself on a wooden staff seemingly woven with shadows themselves.
Shortly after, the group parted. Few individuals making their way to Bregan D'aerthe's compound, and faern along with his assistant disappearing behind doors of the School of Necromancy.

Few individuals were seen entering old crypts West of Varalla's Passage. None was seen leaving.

Re: DM rumors of Underdark
The endless caves of the Underdark, too, were not spared from the chaos brought by the cataclsysm, as strangeness is reported in whispers and cries for help across the settlements and cities.
Earthquakes can be felt every once in a while, ranging from weaker ones that simply move dust to ones big enough to collapse entire passageways. People may come to discover their usual routes blocked and new routes opened.
Across the underdark, but especially where Faerzress is concentrated, weirder things than earthquakes occur. Entire cavern walls, once of solid stone, now could be felt as squishy and darkened flesh, and walking inside it is as if walking on a waterbed made of loose skin and squishy meats. These changes would last a few hours before they returned to normal, only to be reported once more in another cave.
From the cavern ceilings in many places, water glowing with all the imaginable colours dripped down. Where the water hit, surface grass would soon grow. Attempts to bottle the water would be vain, as instead any recipient for the water would soon be overcome with greenery.
The varied flora of the underdark, that greatly depended on the magical radiation, similarly acts strange. Plants and fungi coming alive and wandering the caves, and animals that eat some of them are reported to simply explode from the inside out, leaving behind a mess of guts.
Winter is coming... Or something like that, idk, you get the joke

Re: DM rumors of Underdark

Silence in the Caverns
After tendays of cycles have gone by. There is a silence to the wilderness of the Underdark. Rumors of an Alhoon lurking in the darkness are swept away by the quick work of Bregan D'aerthe. Rumor circulate back to Mist Lake about the absence of wandering thralls and the odd maggot infested rats. It would seem the charge led by Bregan was received by the Alhoon in it's death. Only a fool would return to antagonize the city again.
