For every character you create there is plain text file in ..\Documents\Neverwinter Nights 2\localvaultBlackman D wrote: if you really want to go that in depth with it tho just copy the words to your journals note section (the journal you bring up with J, its the last tab) and you can refer back to it in game instead of having to look on the forums all the time
and as far as i know there is no character limit to the notes section
so if you have a character with name Johny there will be "Johny.txt" - meaning you can actually copy+paste there anything and save it and/or make a backup of that file if you wrote something there in-game.
Not really that important, but it´s definitely easier to copy+paste those phrases than writing it down in-game manually
As mar3usmc mentioned there is page with dictionary - and what´s actually interesting is that you can download it for offline use.
Even when I have some common words in journal I have to alt-tab every once a while and it´s annoying as hell.
Well I had an idea.
For every character there is a chat log - and it´s just a txt file in your documents\nwn2\logs.
So you have record of chat, you have translator and you have journal (which you can access ingame).
My point is that it´s possible to make an application that would read chat log, translate it from drow to ENG and then put it inside your journal - and it would not affect the game itself what so ever, but you will have translated every drow phrase your character hears.
Or you could use journal as ingame translator (without needing to work with chat log at all). For example you would write "eng: I am" and it would write below that " *I am* = *Usstan tlun* or the other way around.
Every of those things are outside of the game itself so the only question is - would it be worth doing ?
(btw it´s possible to use this method to get any kind of text into your journal. for example text from IRC or ICQ or whatever that can make simple txt log )
