Below is the history of the group before BGTSCC. wish to join must prove themselves.
Requirements to join:
As a demonstration of a player’s commitment to the UD and its strict dogma, no character below level 6 will be accepted. Please take the time to develop your character and its concept prior to seeking entry. Initiates can seek entry prior to lvl 6 with the understanding full membership will be granted at lvl 6.
All invites must be done through Role Play In Character. There will be no exceptions. Even established players, when making new characters, must undergo this process, as the Qu'ellar is about character development, internal consistency, and accountability for actions, victories, and failures.
Only the Ilharess, Yath’tallar, or House Masters have the authority to speak with a DM and approve a name change to include the surname Zau’Afin.
OOC HOUSE LEADERSHIP:
The Matron, Ilharn, Yath’tallar and House Masters serve as leadership within the qu’ellar. OOC consideration is to be given to all members holding positions of authority, regardless of IC rank. This will ensure the stability and longevity of the qu’ellar. The idea here is that given an absence of a Matron or Yath’tallar, the house can still function.
Alignment:
CN, Any Evil
Classes NOT allowed:
Any class who’s over arching tenants are good in nature. Or common sense would say otherwise. This means that druids and rangers will not be accepted. Warlocks are only accepted due to how many people play them.

Lolth, Selvetarm
Race:
Drow only, underdark races may serve the house but only Drow will have the house name
As one of our Sargtlins you will undergo rigid training in our armory, you will likewise get tasks to clear the surrounding caverns of enemies and keep the qu’ellar safe from any ilk that would dare approach us unannounced. You will guard your charges with fervor and skill, and thereby be the shield that guards and the sword that pierces.
These make up the bulk of the house. They are used as house body guards and escorts when needed. Only the most skilled warriors will be allowed to remain within the house. A Sargtlin of Qu’ellar Zau’Afin is privy to the best weapons and armors, is well fed and indeed is a critical asset to the house defenses. Only a fool would disregard the usefulness of a highly skilled military force. This string of the web will typically be the largest and full of the nothing but the strongest soldiers. Expect to be treated like a grunt but well fed and taken care of. This is the lowest station within the qu’ellar only above agents and slaves. Females are accepted however will not be given rank and position any higher than other male Sargtlin. Generally speaking, females would not lower themselves to this lower ranked status. Only a low born low ranked female or a female who has lost much honor and favor within Lolthite society would ever take on the role of a male. Female Sargtlins should expect to be treated as a male of the same position and status. A female Sargtlin is lower ranked than a male Assassin.
As one of our Velg’larn, your duty is to complete missions that the Yath or others of higher rank assign to you. Often these missions will have to kill someone or infiltrate. but your missions are what you live by. You must complete them because that is your pride and what drives you.
Useful in gathering information, removing external threats to the house and thwarting assassination attempts against key house members. A highly valuable tool to the matron mother, only the very best assassins will survive within Qu’ellar Zau’Afin. Assassins must be able to think on their feet and react quickly and intelligently to any threat or circumstance that may arise. Qu’ellar Zau’Afin is neither for the weak willed nor the unskilled. Assassins will be used for a variety of missions to include assassinations of house enemies. Expect missions to infiltrate surface organizations and commit cold war era espionage. Female assassins will be accepted on a case by case basis. Generally speaking, females would not lower themselves to this lower ranked status. Only a low born low ranked female or a female who has lost much honor and favor within Lolthite society would ever take on the role of a male. Female assassins should expect to be treated as a male of the same position and status. A female assassin is lower ranked than a male wizard.
As one of our Faerns you will have access to knowledge based on your rank. Once you have earned your place you will also have access to our laboratory where you will have free reign to study and discover with everything that pertains to that laboratory. Based on what school of magic you focus on you will have different tasks that you must complete and uphold.
House wizards are often considered amongst the most privileged males. They are in charge of maintaining the wards protecting the house and all who dwell within it. The First Wizard oversees this and ensures all wizards are kept in line. Wizards are a tool to be used by the house, albeit a very important tool. Male wizards are comfortable in their position and often appear relaxed in the presence of all but the most powerful, but not too comfortable. Wizards of this qu’ellar although respected will always be subservient to even the most junior of Yathrin. Regardless of arcane power, wizards will maintain personal restraint or face sever IC consequences. Female wizards are acceptable but will have the same social status of their male counterparts. This position may require a good bit of personal restraint as a powerful wizard is still subservient to a weak priestess of Lolth.
As part of our Yath you will have important power in our Qu’ellar, you will lead our Sargtlins into battle, you will assign crucial missions to our Velg’larns and you will make use of the discoveries of the Faerns, all for the good of the spider queen and our race as a whole.
The Yathrin belong more to the church than to the house and have dedicated their lives to the church of Lolth. They are loyal to Lolth, the church and the greater good of the drow as a whole, before the house and her own desires. They are feared and respected by all members of the house save the matron mother herself. Their function within the house is to ensure absolute faith in Lolth and her doctrines. Yathrin must be able to lead prayers and be a source of lore for other house members. This is a serious position within the qu’ellar and comes with much responsibility. You must demonstrate above average knowledge and willingness to RP accordingly. Only the Matron can dispute the word of the priestess.
Singers of Lolth is an ancient and lauded skill, practiced by those with voices that both Lolth and her priestesses enjoy to listen to. Ancient warsongs of the drow race is sung at prayers and battles, To boost the morale of faithful drow. This role called the Bae'queshel, also known as dark minstrels originates from Que'llar Melarn. Instead of praying for the divine powers of Lolth, their powers are gained by tapping into the weave and their power is used by their voice and music.
This string of the house is unique to Qu’ellar Zau’Afin, and may not fit into colloquial drow lore. The Bae’Queshel are devout followers of Lolth who praise her through their song. It is not uncommon to see multiple singers attend house prayers. They typically sit in the background like a choir, set the mood and tempo during prayers and significant house events. They are highly respected members of this house. Even the most holy of prayers may have the head singer present. Only females will be allowed within this string of the qu’ellar.
Yath'sargtlin, also known as temple warrior and guard is a male who worships Seveltarm and then derives from his divine power. Some even gains minor favor in the form of divine power from lolth as a male.
You will often follow the Yathrin and be special envoys, heralds, servants, and guards of the Yathrin. You hold a higher position than Sarglitins and only those Yath'Sargtlin who prove themselves are allowed to be present during the Yathrins sacred temple duties.
A Dread Guard is an elite warrior who has forsaken all rank and status within society and has committed themselves to the perfection of their battle skills. This position is unique to Qu’ellar Zau’Afin, and may not fit into colloquial drow lore. Additionally, Dread Guards of Zau’Afin swear an oath to protect the Qu’ellar and the Matron Mother at all costs and will give their lives in service to Zau’Afin. Dread Guards have no official standing within the Qu’ellar but rather will earn their status based upon their actions. As elite battle Drow committed to perfection in tactics, battle, and rescue, will often be used to test other members of the house and assess their skill. A Dread Guard is subject only to the Matron and the Yath'tallar of the house. Only the most trusted, and seasoned warriors will be granted such a prestigious position.
Initiate/Agent
Initiates consist of all the newly joined members of the house. Initiates are most often recruited by their respective house master and are in a limbo status until fully accepted by the Matron Mother. This is a short term position usually lasting only a few days or weeks. During this period the leadership of the house will observe the usefulness of the initiate and determine future eligibility to become a full member. During this period initiates are free to back out without incurring any IC repercussions. Also, RP will be heavily observed and weighed accordingly.
