[Moonsong]

A white bleached book, bound in soft leather. It is all covered with blue roses entwinded on the edges. In the center, silver stars are shining and a graceful dragon flying in the sky. The content is a collection of various pieces of art in a wide range from poems, songs and tales, up to scteches. They may seem choatic and yet mark certain stages of life of the writer. The writing is in elegant runes of the Epsruar.

The fir entry may be dedicated to a higher power. Several short poems with various meanings, that may shift depending on the occassions.

Insight & Faith

In the garden watching Star light,
it is eightfold shing bright tonight,
my eyes, they are not closed
As I wish with all my might.

I release my vision, to the stars above
Watch them shine, with such passion and love
I only wish I could shine one day, just like them
Star light, star bright, wish I may, wish I might.

They speak to me, showing the way,
on my heart's road they tell me to stay.
Love magic, you never shall fear,
her voice you shall alway hear.

Another poem, old an slight bleached is the ink, yet still clearly to read. It seems like written for a child, that has not been living more than a decade or two, given that elven children grow up way slower than others...

A new light

So my child is here!
What joy and what pleasure!
Now my life is expanding,
To make room for this treasure.

A beloves new arrival,
To have and to hold--
Her smiles are more precious,
than silver or gold.

She'll demolish my schedule
Though she's helpless and small;
She'll make her needs known,
And she'll rule over all.

See, a new parent's work
Is just never quite done,
But i'll never mind,
‘Cause it's all so much fun.

When you hear her tender giggle
her father's loss i will forget.
And she'll soon reply back,
i cherish the day we met.

Those big innocent eyes,
see a world strange and new;
To make sense of it all,
she'll look only to you.

So live in this time,
of miraculous things--
The excitement and wonder,
one day she'll grow and have wings.

All of a sudden, there's a leap in time. The ink seems at least ways newer, even if still long ago inthe eye of younger races. The friend, this poem was written for, was obviously important to the writer's life and had a huge influence on the way they are now.

To that one friend

Here's to that very first friend that I made.
The one who played song, when I asked him to play.
Whose name I'd repeat over and over again
So astounded and grateful that he was my friend.

And here's to that friend, i grew up by his side,
Who so graciously came along for the ride.
Who was privy to all of my grand hopes and dreams,
and complicit in all of my hair-brained schemes.

All hail to that friend ever loyal and true,
who was just as naïve about what we should do.
Like silblings who faced new adventures each day,
testing the waters on our long wending way.

Praise to that friend who knew all of my pain,
who kept every secret silent and safe.
The one who would hold me whenever I cried
and then still made me laugh till it ached inside.

Thank the Seldarine for all that fried taught me,
who I willingly followed as he took the lead.
Much more adept at learning the ropes,
he was the one who taught me the art.

Godess bless that friend who would never condemn,
no matter the messes I'd put myself in.
Who accepted my frailties and frustrating flaws,
and would still lift me up when I'd flounder and fall.

And thank you forever that dearest of friends
who showed me what being a friend truly meant.
Who gave me the chance to be one myself
and be someone of value to somebody else.

How I miss that dear friend who drifted away,
whose life took him sadly to some other place.
But I know in my heart even though we lost track,
if I sent for him today, he would still have my back.

Friendship is a gift that we're granted in life,
a force to take with us against the tough fight.
But the greatest blessing when it's all said and done
Is to have all those friendships in that One special One!

The next poem is a glimpse on what music means to the writer. It seems like there's a special relation, no one may understand so easily and not many may know about.

A friend called Music

Music is the ocean,
it pulls me to the shore.
It is the heart,
that beats within me.

Music is the rhythm
that moves me to the core.
It rings in my ear,
through whatever will be.

Music is the healing,
i need when I feel blue.
It is what drives me,
even when i take care of you.

Music lifts my spirits,
to make sure I pull through.
The times when I'm most cheerful,
it's clear music is there.

Music is the needed friend,
when no one seems to care.
Music is the life breath,
that keeps my universe together.

This poem is clearly an expression of mourning someone, who was closer than anyone else. The verses may describe a bond that broke long ago, in unbelieveably painful way.

Passing

Dark wings came down on you,
they wrapped around your life,
Carrying you into the Eternal forest,
to finally end your inner strife.

This wonderful light you see,
only for you it's meant to be.
It will never go down,
no end, no more frown.

All the pain in your lifetime,
you will forever leave behind.
The creator will sing a rhyme,
your child, you did never mind.

You chose your own ending,
there will be no mending.
The blade struck your heart,
now we're two souls apart.

New happiness will follow you,
all wrong will seem so right.
The protector will be with you,
and never leave your side.

Dedicated to a false charmer, who once tried to manipulate the writer with their sweet words, this poem is short - and yet straight forward. It is clealy telling them to stay out of their life.

The controlling flatterer

You flatter me and try to woo me,
think you can look through me.
But if you expect me to betray,
not a single word i'll ever say.

I know the mask and what's behind.
And if about my life you ponder,
i will say. "That is for me to mind,
and you to wonder."

The writer may have lived quite a long time, lost loves and lived with shame until shame didn't exist anymore. One may be left to wonder, who this was written for. It can be anyone and no one, or for maybe a friend looking for a love poem for their mate. Maybe the receiver was one of the several mates in her own life....

All i need

When I first saw you,
I saw joy and levity.
My life brighter with you,
every word exchanged poetry.

When I got to know you,
I saw a timespan of pain.
No longer you shall be blue,
in our time, never again.

When I started loving you,
I saw strength and loyalty.
For all i learn and knew,
each mess we'll make harmony.

Now...all that I see,
Is what means everything to me.
Whatever used to be,
what is and whatever will be.

What in both of us I see,
Is the strength to carry on.
Forever stay with me,
the sky, the limit it will be.

What I see, i will never expel,
as there's courage to do anything.
Whatever other voices may tell,
i'll go with you, through everything.

What I see, is in my heart.
It's the love to be around anyone.
Wether near or far apart,
i want you to be the one.

Whenever i see you,
I see everything I need.
And you should know, it's true,
my love for you, nothing can beat.

In all the losses during the troubled times, this little poem came to be, like a metyphor that seems clear and yet crypitic.

The falling star

When the light of a star goes out.
Nothing keeps it in the sky at night.
You can speak to that star out loud,
it won't hear, will not shinne bright.

Be it chains of guilt, heavy on heart,
from its place, the star still will fall.
Be it the gods, that tear us apart,
its light i'll miss among them all.

Yes, there are more stars in that sky,
another star is still no longer here.
I still am here and wonder why,
left and anger, pain and fear.

It was only one of more that fell,
but that one was center of my life.
This is as much as i can tell,
my purpose gone, within strife.

About my loss, the world barely cares,
they ignore, even say that i'm wrong.
But to know better, anyone would dare.
while i search for a reason to be strong.

Hope is what i have to give and keep,
look closely at all the stars around me.
I find there is no time for me to weep,
soldier through it, growing to be free.

Free of all the hurt and bad inside,
to make room for strength and love.
Counting seven stars worth to fight,
honor each sacrifce in the realms above.
