Drake Naïr's songbook

Unread post by Zanniej »

[OOC: Since I've received quite good reactions so far, I thought I'd share them on the forum.]

Four bards
Based on a true story

The orcs, they love their humans,
And Elves, they taste just fine,
They can't get enough of meat stew,
Just 's much as I like my wine.

We fought, we talked, preformed sleight of hand,
A good way out, was in high demand,
We fought, we talked, we then blew the roof,
The orc shaman fell, us living the proof.

The story my friends, is don't cross 4 bards,
Because all together, we broke the orc´s bars,
The end of the day, a new story to tell,
New friends have been made, as the orc group has fell...

Changes
Open stage night

As the time changes, and rivers freely flow,
Flowers grow, towards the sun's glow,
Everything living, in the entire world around,
Animals scurrying, looking for food to be found

As everything lives, and changes with stories untold,
Things too will die, when they grow weathered and old.
Leaves fall from trees, and crumble with sound,
Flowers start rotting, and become one with the ground

As the sea eats the rocks, and they crumble and fall,
Then turn into sand, all pebbles so small,
The earth then might shift, new mountains be made,
New rock fight the sea, though it´ll someday still fade

Everything changes, time will not stop,
And everything living, will someday just drop.
No one can stop it, no matter what you do,
For no matter what, your life once ends too.

So fill your life with joy, live it to it's most,
Make your adventures, have something to boast!
And then in the end, when you might've made name,
You'll find out everything changes, yet always stays the same...

What the heart wants
Open stage night

No matter how much I love you,
There will not be a you and me,
Though we both feel a lot for each other,
It just wasn't meant to be.

We used to trick ourselves,
Saying just our love will make it real,
When in the end it seemed,
It still didn't give the right feel.

We've got to let go,
even though it hurts us so,
And perhaps one day,
We'll look back and say,
"I'm glad that we're still friends"

My feelings for you are still strong,
And even though we have to let go,
In my heart I secretly long,
And I'm still missing you so.

Perhaps we can carry on,
And still be together as friends,
Though the love might be gone,
Let's make sure it not all ends.

We've got to let go,
even though it hurts us so,
And perhaps one day,
We'll look back and say,
"I'm glad that we're still friends"
Off to greener pastures
