The 15th Day of Alturiak

The visitors to our camp north of Beregost this day were as follows;

-Tarina Mazir, of Tethyr, she was a great help today away from the camp. She stayed and helped us upkeep while folks came and went. Taught me a lot more about spirits, and her magick. She did a good job anyway, bless her heart but a lot of that is still outside my ken. She stayed the night again, on her side of the tent.

-Azre, from out east, wore a lot of black clothes, didn't want to trade but did some good pushing back the goblins. Good enough.

-Evander Mordragon, of Westgate. Gotta keep both eyes on him, said he was taken in by a Suzail noble family, because he was magi. Still, we know that city well.

-Kahanak Habdilof, of Thay. Came for trade, and asked about brigands assaulting his magi on the Tradeway.

-Eva, of Everaska. Came and shared news of the baby meeses, really glad she showed us how they were doing in the city during the Winterfestival. She came with a need, too. A wolf that needs to be stopped.

-Human female, wouldn't say. Gave the air of a hand-to-hand combatant, strawberry blonde hair, glasses, fashionable dress. She came for the goblins and thats good enough too.

The 17th Day of Alturiak

The visitors to our camp north of Beregost this day were as follows;

-Case, the magi from Ormen, Nimbral returned, this time at my request. We spoke of the Crow, suspicious magi to the south, and of darker things I dare not write of here.

-Lani, of Gullykin. A vibrant bardess, who is fond of throwing stones. Men who live in grass houses shouldn't.

-Evana, of Luskan. One of a large band that approached the camp. She was a knight of Helm, if Case was right.

-Roderik Grayshaw, of Zhentil Keep. He aims to be one of the burk's knights. Wish he'd turn away but he's a man on a mission, even I feel its the wrong sort.

-Will, of Baldurs Gate. Third member of the large band who came to square off with the goblins.

-Garrick Marshall, a Tyrran Priest of Baldur's Gate. A holy man for the crew, was a satisfying sort of odd, seeing him and the Zhent hopeful working together. The road breeds odd alliances.

-Jesse, of Waterdeep. Self proclaimed Protector of the Roads, and of Adventurers. I liked his enthusiasm and confidence. Paid him and the four mentioned before in cuts of aloe from across the river, to take care of a goblin band gathering above the camp. They returned victorious and were paid for the service as promised.

-There was a gnome with the crew of five, but he slipped off and I didn't catch his name.

-Hinzel showed up, sometime after the large band. He was missing his thumb, and its loss followed a grim, but brief, telling.

-Kahanak Habdilof, of Thay. Came at a late hour, passed on what I'd learned from Case about the Crow. He already knew. I was just glad it wasn't the Wolf.

The 18th Day of Alturiak

The visitors to our camp north of Beregost this day were as follows;

-Alexandra Keenan, of Candlekeep. Escorted her to the camp so she could mark it with a particular rune. Incase she ever needs to get us her words.

-Azre, from the east returned. He was dressed in much more elaborate red robes this time. Same magi though.

-Kanai Ka'vanth, Silverymoon. Came through the area after goblins - honest work that.

-Gnome again, refused his name, accused us of being up to demonic work because we asked for his name and where he was from, then threatened us lightly and left. Had a female gnome with him this time.

-Vilaca, a lady I'd traded a dirk to many days ago came to the camp. She was in the company of Shanks, and a half-orc.

-Shanks, Knight of Auril. Was in the company of Vilaca and the half orc. Friendly lady, warm smile for one of her profession. Spoke of training herself in preparation for the winter's end.

-The half orc. Large brute of a thing, came out of the brush with a large sword. Had a threatening demeanor, but he left with the two mentioned and slew goblins. Mentioned feeding his hunger. Very well spoken for one of his kind, just didn't care for what he had to say.

-Arianna, the magi, came back for another visit. She's fun to work with, just never know when she's going to be around.

The 19th Day of Alturiak

The visitors to our camp north of Beregost this day were as follows;

-Shanks, Knight of Auril. She returned, after more work against the goblins, shared some pleasant talk and went on her way south towards the xvart villages.

-Vani, of Baldurs Gate. A shaman of some sort, had a wolf with her that reminded me of another I've seen. She didn't say much though.

-Kenton Lane, Priest of Umberlee and of Baldur's Gate. He arrived to provide aid to Shanks, and left shortly after. Well spoken priest.

-Faleera showed, didn't have much use for her. She let Rain Dog have a taste of her beer, wouldn't have allowed it if she hadn't had the first sip herself.

-Arianna, the magi. Came with Faleera. Didn't hold it against her as she was a friend of Faleera for longer than she's known me.

The 20th Day of Alturiak

Left the bowl and its note at the campsite and went up north - time for farm work and cooking for the kids.

//If any pc or npc so wishes to 1. Visit the campsite (resting place due east of the goblin ruins on 'The Trade Way, N of Beregost', and 2. Inspect the scrap of paper left under the clay bowl and interact with it in some way, it reads thusly:

"Michael Dunn, caretaker of this campsite in the name of Lathander's Light and Goodwill. If you wish to leave note of your passing please sign your name, the current date, and your home town, or leave whatever note you will. Remember, there will always be another Dawn."

If your pc or npc wishes to leave a response on the above, please PM me, instead of posting here. And Michael will react/post the record when he returns. This will be a recurring thing.//

The 22nd Day of Alturiak

The visitors to our camp north of Beregost this day were as follows;

-Alexandra Keenan, of Candlekeep. Visited our camp and left us a nice letter. Wanted to talk about the Pathfinders which is fine with us. Need to hunt down that Telia too, hop in line.

The 23rd Day of Alturiak

Didn't mind the camp, never made it that far south.

-Wren, a merchant's daughter seeking a trade deal in Amn. Ran across her outside the Friendly Arm Inn, her bow had been broken and it reminded me of Isioviel - until I heard how. Different circumstances not involving the Wolf.

She was a new adventurer in need, and it just so happened I had misjudged a bow purchase. So I gifted it to her, on the condition she help me clear some goblins away from the campsite. She agreed, and did so, both in the woods and the ruins nearby.

Still, theres more to her than a simple merchant's daughter. I haven't known any to have the moves and skill she yielded and yet comes from so simple a background.

The 25th Day of Alturiak

The visitors to our camp north of Beregost this day were as follows;

-Jered, came as a group of four who did good work on thinning out the goblin hordes.

-Seteneptra Ma'u, of Thay. The second of the four, hadn't seen any women like Thay's lot before. The bald heads give them an exotic beauty.

-Qin Tarra, the third of them. Also helped with the goblin problem, might have been a holy woman of some sort.

-Kiran, Ebon Blade burk. Last of those that came, seemed a good sort.

-Yandery Sheridan, of Gullykin. Well spoken magi, came to help a pair of hin out inside the old ruins. Came and went fairly quick.

-Arianna. She made a brief visit again. Need to find her again and quick.

-Wren, of Silverymoon. Not much I wish to write, just a lot I want to say. There is danger, there is joy.

The 29th Day of Alturiak

The visitors to our camp north of Beregost this day were as follows;

-Alexandra Keenan, of Candlekeep, happiest I'd ever seen her. And with her hood down - I knew she had to, eventually. Need to thank the knight for her joy.

-Isabella Villame, of Candlekeep, she came as we'd invited her. Can't tell if she's shy, nervous, or something else. We were glad she finally showed up, started to doubt if she ever would.

The 1st Day of Ches

The visitors to our camp north of Beregost this day were as follows;

-Alexandra Keenan, of Candlekeep, came to speak of a visit to Doron Amar, the visit was cut short by Faleera, and her hired goons.

-Faleera, came asking about an attack against one of her own - Etele. Claimed the Elder Circle had maimed him. She got curious quick about how I knew what I did concerning her and the Toe-cutters. Wasn't about to give her information she didn't have though. See report below for more.

-Stede, one of those which came to harass the camp after having been paid by Faleera. He returned, later, and we had a better talk than I expected. Need to point him in a better direction than her company.

The following is my account of Faleera's goons actions on the Tradeway, just north of Beregost at Lathander's campsite, maintained by Michael Dunn and Rain Dog.

While entertaining our friend, Alexandra Keenan of Candlekeep, Faleera came upon the camp. Faleera had tricked myself and a few of Candlekeep into delivering a message to the Toecutter gang before they were done in, and therefore I wanted nothing to do with the woman. She came upon us asking about something that happened to Etele. Came close and tried to grab me but I put a quick stop to that. Sent her on her way.

I suspect she would return with her gang and ask again when she had a force with her. I did not expect her to send a crew of adventurers to harass us. Stede was their apparent leader, and he nearly died stepping up to me after I tried to head them off. I'd put up trip lines around the camp ready to fall back and rain arrows upon any assailants and he walked through two or three before I could stop him.

Hard to tell if there were four, or six of them, as when they approached four moved in a group, and a crossbowman I knew as Quick was skulking around in the background, as well as a hin - whom I believe stole one of my tents inbetween Faleera's departure and this group's arrival.

Stede tried to convince me and Rain Dog to leave the camp, and eventually returned the stolen tent to my possession. A bald pair of twins I think would have been keen on a fight if not for Stede's getting injured by the trip lines. Either way they left peacefully - Stede went back to report to Faleera, the hin and Quick did the same, the rest went and did some actual good by beating back the goblins in the nearby ruin.

Stede eventually returned and we shared some words. I believe he was just a man after some what appeared to be easy coin - going to try and steer him toward something more fruitful like the Ebonblades. Alexandra reported back some of the things I couldn't see from my vantage, such as Stede reporting to Faleera and the like. I don't think anyone realized the quiet woman was there. Bless her for staying to help us out, bless Lathander that it didn't come to real bloodshed.

Will have to consider what to do about Faleera before some becomes a real problem. Treat with her, or put some fear in her? Does a woman like that ken fear?

No sign of the vampire, starting to think she's moved on or gone to hiding.

The 3rd Day of Ches

The visitors to our camp north of Beregost this day were as follows;

-Isioviel Fereyn, of the Tradeway. Followed us back to the camp and paid it visit.

-Faleera, came bringing trouble and asking about some of the local magi. Funny enough its what I wanted to know of concerning her, too.

-Wren, of Silverymoon. Returned to the camp. Still having to be plenty careful, but glad for her return. Shared in the food stuffs that Boris brought.

-Boris Vyacheslav, of Thay. The knight brought me food, water, and some basic supplies. No prompt or return favor asked. Just simple kindness. Lightened my heart even as it made me question a few notions within.

The 4th Day of Ches

The visitors to our camp north of Beregost this day were as follows;

-Ashley, of Baldurs Gate. Came to see why I didn't stand up for her when Telia confronted or fired her. Answered her plainly, will see if she returns.

-Fraiser, of Roaringshore. Spoke of a man I've since met, Xelo, a half elf archer, who was attacked by a vampire in the manse of Cloakwood. Fraiser himself went on to fight the goblins.

The 9th Day of Ches

The visitors to our camp north of Beregost this day were as follows;

-Adriane Tevinter, of Tethyr. She came to the camp and we conducted some trade. Seemed a nice sort. Many Tethyrian refugees wind up this way, seems.

-Tarina Mazir, of Candlekeep. She made an appearance at the camp after almost a month away from it. Was good to see her there though.

The 10th Day of Ches

The visitors to our camp north of Beregost this day were as follows;

-Zhar, of Thay. Came and asked about local comings and goings.

-Onna'Evatril, of Doron Amar. Came on personal business. I listened and tried to give a few words of wisdom. Pride is a funny thing.

-Vendor, of Baldur's Gate. Terri's fella, and of the Elder Circle. Good to see him out and about.

-Tarnor, a dwarf of Citadel Adbar. Warrior dwarf who came to bring the fight to the goblins. We looked at each other's trade but weren't able to make a deal for anything.

-Alli, didn't get to speak to her long.

-Liam, paid a visit and spoke some of the drow sightings and his skirmishes with him recently. Was able to provide me some more information on the drow itself and its appearance.

-Myhun, he too paid a visit. No work yet. But we too spoke some of the drow's sighting. And what he would do if he found the devil.

-Wren, of Silvermoon. Spoke more of the days to come, and important things delayed.

-Casavon Baratheus, of Tethyr. Another refugee of that place. Situation must be a poor one there.
