Background:
Tasia grew up in the city of Cimbar, the de facto capital of Chessenta, on the eastern side of the Sea of Fallen Stars. Her mother died of sickness when she was young and she was raised by her father, a high-ranking member of the famous mercenary company known as the Society of the Sword. Cimbar may be a city of philosophy and culture, but most of her youth was spent in a travelling mercenary camp, or onboard ships sailing from conflict to conflict. Cimbar does require participation of its citizens in the arts however, and her father's one concession to this was hiring a Chondathan dancing master to instruct her.
The Society of the Sword are considered elites and are obsessed with honour. They only take high-profile jobs and never against weak opponents. This brought them into conflict with another company known as the Renegades, who were quite the opposite in that they would take any job and do anything to win. One night in Cimbar a fight between these rival groups broke out in a tavern and Tasia's father was murdered. The authorities deemed it typical mercenary behavior and did nothing save issue a fine to each company.
This was not enough for Tasia. Swearing an oath of vengeance to Hoar, she tracked the Renegades across the Sea of Fallen Stars, working on various merchant vessels to earn her passage. She eventually caught up to them in Westgate and, after a few days investigating, she determined the individual responsible for her father's murder - an average soldier who had plunged a dagger in his back while he was fist-fighting with two others. She returned the gesture while the man was in a tavern and deep in his cups.
After this she fell into a depression and began drinking. There was nothing for her back home - the Society of the Sword would surely not agree with her methods. She decided to become a free agent and travel west. She spent some time doing odd jobs in Cormyr and Waterdeep before eventually arriving in Baldur's Gate.
Goals:
To give justice to those who have been denied it. To hunt down murderers and thieves and to expose corrupt officials.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
She helps others gain revenge to fill the void in her heart and stave off depression. She has inherited her father's strict code of personal honour but has a highly jaded view of governmental justice and will probably come into conflict with official peacekeepers. She teeters on the brink of chaotic behaviour but her dedication to Hoar gives structure to her actions.
I became interested in this concept because I wanted to combine two of my favourite BGII kits - the Stalker and the Bounty Hunter - to make a covert intelligence-gatherer, comfortable in both wilderness and urban settings, a hunter of men skilled in bringing them back alive - or otherwise.

A crumpled piece of parchment on which various notes are scribbled in Chessentan. They seem to consist mostly of information about various contracts and employers, however one corner has been dedicated to a list of names, each with a date next to them and a brief description
A man put a curse on a friend of mine today. I have his name and shall not forget.
