The Tale of Little Timmy

Little Timmy was a shy boy. He knew many things. He could see things other people couldn’t. Ghosts, bogles, fairies and other creatures of fantasy used to bother little Timmy. But no one believed little Timmy.

One day, the bird in the cage of the mine of the village died. The miners run away afraid of evil winds. Since then, they did not work anymore and the village was dying slowly as the last important resource of the poor town could not be extracted without a bird.
But, little Timmy knew something about the bird. It has a phoenix soul only he could see. Little Timmy dug out the bird from the little tomb the miners made for it; and took it to the miners; he explained the bird was a phoenix but the miners hit him so hard he could not stand. One of the punches caused the bird dropping from the kid’s hands to the fire; and so the phoenix rebirth. The miners were so happy, but did not apologize with little Timmy. He didn’t mind, the village could survive a little longer and that was enough for him.

Little Timmy’s father was a guide; his job was to show the travelers the wonders of the little village they lived in. The village didn’t have many travelers and even some neighbors were leaving due to strange happenings. The village had many old stories speaking of other world and some magical stones and long ago this was interesting to travelers. However little Timmy’s father was skeptical and did not believe these stories. When Little Timmy came home with his clothes torn, he also hit him. Little Timmy tried to explain but his father did not listened.

Another day, a group of bandits came to the village, they dressed like travelers and so they said they were. They wanted to see the village to raid it later on. But, little Timmy knew it because he could she the ghost of those whom they have killed before. He went home to tell it to his father, but he ignored and kicked him. While he was getting ready to depart, Little Timmy secretly took his father’s shoes hoping he wouldn’t depart.
However craving for the gold and attention, the father, unable to find his shoes, decided to leave without them. He showed the village to the bandits, and they gave him a good tip. On the way back, the father blamed little Timmy for the wounds he got on his feet and hit him so hard that nearly died.

Three days later, little Timmy woke up in the house of the old woman healer. When he stepped out everything was silent and covered in blood. Since then, Little Timmy has never spoken again.
