"Not many people can say they were at the beginning of a story thus carefully crafted and molded to into a perfect tale of victories and defeats. Even less can say they lived to tell the entire story thus knowing every detail, every cause and effect, every lose and every win. For these stories spread out amongst this ever expanding world we live in has their mazes. Obstacles and illusions the walkers must face and overcome to reach a new chapter even more difficult then the last. It is with these mazes of life that we live and learn from our mistakes. So that we may walk our individual mazes clearly without finding ourselves brought back into the dark corners of walking the wrong direction. . ."
"How we choose to continue is different. Our mazes, different. Our minds, different. Our choices, different."
Our destination. . . The same.
"I was there in the beginning, when the creatures of dragonspear had risen up once more with a force as large as the mighty armies of athkatla. They came marching, running, wailing as the forces the winding way front had taken up arms against them. I myself had ignored the battle at hand walking deeper within their lines searching for what I sought after. Of course I didn't find it and was only met by the larger force of the hell-spawn within the war-front. I could have killed them all. . . But. . . I needed them. And so I made my retreat leaving them an offering of good faith so that maybe they would know to come to me when they were desperate enough."
"The battle of course continued on later that day as the fires of the winding way only made their way to the bridge of soubar not to long after. That is when I saw it. The gates of hell open before my eyes as the hell-spawn rushed their way out with a clear intent of carnage and mayhem. I watched from afar guarded by my own small horde of undead as the soubarians took up arms against them, fighting for their lives. Of course, this was neither my maze nor my battle to conquer. It was a maze I was chosen to overlook. The obstacles were apparent as was the path, and it was up to those within the field to find their way. And so I watched, and so they fought, and so they won."
"The aftermath of the battle was far less then I was expecting that is for sure. The dark-knights dragged their wounded back into the walls and the locals gathered around in gossip of the recent events from amidst the smoke and mirror of the previous battle. I myself of course made sure the area was cleaned of any -left overs- to which I had not found any. Nay a single lingering soul nor body to be collected, a pity. Thus I found myself disinterested and made my way back to where I belonged, entering the gates of my maze of imaginations and dreams."
"As the meditation began I soon found myself drifting away, into a scene I had been to before. I was there once again at the bridge as the scene replayed in my mind of the dragon-spear forces marching their way towards the gates of soubar with brimstone and hellfire. Although I felt something was different. . . The scene was the same but the atmosphere grew hotter, the blood spilled turned from puddles to pools and the humans who fought were the ones being pushed back this time. Every blink from my eyes only made the scene progress even faster and the story the more grim as time went on. But even still I watched as the devils of dragon-spear pushed forward and into the town of soubar where their fires only grew as did their kill count. And so I watched as a judge of fate careful not to interfere until their maze was finished as the town burned and the mighty behemoths of dragon-spear crushed the bridge of soubar under their step."
"I soon found myself blinking again only to open my eyes outside of the dream-scape and into the mortal realm once more."
"A dream?"
"Or a dark divination?"
