Tanarukks speak Orc and Abyssal, using the former for most conversations but inserting words from the latter when more sophisticated concepts need to be communicated. Smart tanarukks usually learn Common so they can more easily interrogate prisoners.
Currently they only have common as a default language. I think giving them Orc and Abyssal and maybe replacing common with undercommon should be done.
On a totally unrelated note is there any chance we could get a second temple in the UD? From what I understand Lolth would sooner sacrifice a non drow than heal them let alone raise them from the dead in less than undead fashion. The fact that BG has almost a dozen temples and the entirety of the UD has one makes players have to go there oocly regardless of race/class/alignment/intent. I mean . . . "My plan is to overthrow the spiderqueen and kill all drow! muahahahaha *cough cough cough* first though I shall need to take care of this level drain at the temple of lolth." - does that sound right to you?

...Temple of Mystra? She is Lawful Neutral in our timeline. Azuth would be nice in some way, as there is no Temple to him on the server.
These are two quite different suggestions. I would advise to make a new one in the Area forum with the Temple suggestion, which I think is a good one. Sshamath is like, all about magic so a magical deity would do well for non-Lolthites.

Not sure who handles language decision like these. My guess is Rasael but again, QC may have something to say about this first...?
Abyssal and orc makes a lot of sense for Tanarukk and honestly, it is no mechanical advantage whatsoever. Just some RP flair.
I think the question of replacing common with undercommon for all UD races is much bigger and complicated (what do you do with Tieflings and Genasi who can start anywhere?). I would stick to just trying to get the two RP-flair languages for Tanarukk for the time being, else you may end up waiting quite a while for a decision.

Im gonna just PM the DM's and ask for an alteration on my own character based on this. They will probably say no but it cant hurt to try.

Sweet, I look forward to this as from a mechanical standpoint a tanarukk technically only knows surface common by default which is weird.

In the FR UD novels, it does say that there are other UD races that worship Lloth and have clerics to which Lloth grants spells. This is pretty explicitly revealed in the early War of the Spider Queen series when the characters are researching Lloth's disappearance.

Touche' however I still believe my statement is more or less correct. Lolth. . . or rather a Drow priestess of Lolth in a drow city would more often than not sacrifice a non drow to Lolth rather than heal a weakened or even dead orc/gnome/dwarf/human. I can't imagine the odds being better than 50/50 unless they had something substantial to gain from it (not just 500 coins).

Fair enough, but then that's kind of a trait of many evil gods - Selfishness. It's somewhat problematic with making things like temple services available to -any- PC for the cost of a few gold. It also goes for good temples raising evil characters.

Was this ever implemented?
