Shield Bash

I tested shield bash in jegs.

I had the feats:

shield bash
agile shield fighter
tower shield specialization

this gives me 2 shield bash attacks with the full attack bonus.

is it intended that both are using the full ab? i was expecting a 0 / -5 progression.

Is it correct that tower shield specialization(+1 ac) gives the second attack here?
Not to be confused with tower shield weapon specialization(+2 dmg).


Edit: Cleric Buffs do not seem to enhance attack bonus.

Edit: If you take weapon Focus Tower Attack in addition, you are back to one shield bash per round.

Two attacks seems to be right.

Your Ab should be -2 for using a TowerShield with Agile Shieldfighter.

Had your TS an Eb? That EB will get added to AB.

heavy shield specialization(not weapon specialization)
heavy shield weapon focus


gave me 2 attacks, both at the highest ab

Works fine for me. Did you test it on the server or in jegs? If on the server, can you take a screenshot of your combat log and post here?

I tested it in jegs. There could always be the possibility that the attacks are delayed like moon blade and i killed the things too fast.

Could you still tell if it is correct that all the shield bash attacks get full ab.
Could you tell if the attack per round is increased by shield specialization or shield weapon specialization or both?

Shield bash attacks follow the standard AB calculation, so 2nd attack is at -5 and 3rd at -10.

APR is increased by shield weapon specialization, not shield specialization (which is a requisite for agile shield fighter). Works as described here.

It´s not that clear thats it´s Shield Weapon Spec. you need. Havent picked that yet on my cavalier and initially didnt intend to do so.

I will update the wiki and rethink my cavalier feat picks...

Edit: After rereading it it states Weapon right before the bracket... but i havent understand it that way initially. Maybe i add gameplay notes to the wiki entry.

Doesnt say it needs fighter level as prequisite. Have you tested it?

Yes I have,

had agile shield fighter and tower shield weapon focus,
neither opened up weapon shield specialization on a non fighter build.

Edit: should we move the discussion from now on to character building?

I am close to a lvl up on my cavalier. I ll test ingame if i am able to pick Tower Shield Weapon Spec on Paladin lvl up.... If not i ll update the wiki that it needs 4 fighter levels and WF in Tower Shield.

Got my level up today.Picked another Paladin lvl. Although i have weapon focus tower shield i wasnt able to pick Weapon Spec. Tower Shield...

Seems Fighter 4 is needed as is for all Weapon Specs. So only with a fighter dip of at last 4 you can get 3 Attacks per Round with Shield Bash.

I updated the wiki on Weapon Spec. Shield and added Fig 4 and WF Shield as prequisite.
