Successful disarm attempt doesn't affect some creatures
Hi guys
I've tried to search in the forum for the Disarm feat because there are some creatures that are not affected by a succesful attempt of disarming them but I couldn't find any info so I thought I should write here.
For example any of the orcs in the Misty Forest can be disarmed, either if they're wielding maces or crossbows. Also the giants on the Cloudpeaks, those who are wielding those big logs can't be disarmed ((maybe that's on purpouse?))
There could be more, I've just started to use this feat.
Thanks a lot!

A mob has to be built with the option to be disarmed. Otherwise it is immune to the Feat Line.
I think that recently someone on the Dev Team went about and selected many mobs to be made disarm-able. I think...??

Ok... is it somehow useful to report the mobs that are immune?
I found out that also the helmet horrors are!

I have a toon with improved disarm and, I can tell you, there are a LOT of humanoid monsters with weapons that cant be disarmed. Well... at least there were. I stopped using it some time ago because it rarely works(except in pvp ).
There are no level 30's, only level 20's with benefits...

In PvE, Disarm should just throw some AB and damage debuff. -5 to both?

I also had a character with Improved Disarm. I actually had a working list of creatures it did/did not work on until that was deleted in one of the forum culls about ~2-3 years ago.
It's literally only a checkbox for each creature blueprint. Besides being an onerous task to go and tick the box for every creature, one also must check that their equipped weapon is also set to 'undroppable' because exploits
I remember NWN1 had a famous bug in that the Tenser's Transformation spell could be Improved Disarmed to steal its weapon and then sell it for $$$. Rinse and repeat for as much easy gold as you wanted!

Nice! Have you still got the list?
It would be awesome to have it publicly so everyone can use it.
If anything I can try and start one myself. Anway thanks for the clarification

Re: Successful disarm attempt doesn't affect some creatures
I'm afraid it would if the weapon gets destroyed everytime in the process.
If it was somehow possible to let the target to re-equip the weapon, maybe with some sort of delay (1 round? 6 seconds?) that would be more interesting and balanced, I guess. But what's the point in making some creatures immune and other not? Is it not better to find a more balanced way and apply that to every mob?
