Cavestalker offering Wild Shape

I have a character with 4 levels of Ranger and when he takes his 5th level in Cavestalker it gives him Wild Shape, but the WIki clearly states "Cavestalker does not give access to druid wildshape forms".
So is it granting Wild Shape by fault, or is it granting it just to enable other feats that are dependent on it like Elephant's Hide, or are the forms offered by it a subset of the Druid wildshape forms?

The character has no Druid levels and Ranger is his only spellcasting class. He has one use of it currently but before I RCRed him he had three uses. It works, allowing him to select any of fourteen animal types, from a rat to a horse, and transforming him accordingly. The feat description is of the Druid Wlid Shape.
A reason for that RCR was because I was suspecting I shouldn't be able to have it.

Seems it's just adding to druid wildshape progression, so starting at 5th and advancing another daily use at 6, 7, 10. Without Druid levels you just start from 0 uses a day and progress to 4.

Unintended yes?

I'll miss the notion that Guern, as a Ranger/Cavestalker could assume the form of a rat or bat, to aid his prospecting.

More relevantly though, the wildshape feat had also given him access to the Elephant Hide feat. I had originally taken that, but then RCRed to get rid of it because I figured I shouldn't really have access to it. If others have followed the same path, they may need remake their characters after wildshape is reserved for its intended base class.
