Commander Elvina, Knight General Seth and Knight Errant Clint James after breifing the knights at the OSR Keep in person, headed out with a wagon train back up to the Dwarven Keep restocked with food, medical supplies and other resources needed to keep the walls ready for a long siege. As the Sun Cannon was already sent to there destination, Lady Elvina requested a status on the other 2 in the sharp teeth, as there fight was far from over.

Upon making it to the inner walls of Kraack Helzak they re-fortified and restocked the Mobile Triage Camp and got the goods packed away setting up for what would be a long siege.

The Battle of the Pass of Thorns and Kheldrivver

Grave rumors spread about the Western Heartlands. They say that the settlement of Kheldrivver has just been lost to the undead armies of the General after a nearby pass in the Troll Hills fell to the General's hands. In this defeat though, there are mentions of glorious resolve of the defending War Council deployed to a Kheldrivver months earlier abandoned of civilian inhabitants. A few defending soldiers of the War Council, with a Flaming Fist, Kraak Helzak, and Order of Silver Rose contingents, and lead by the dwarf Revenark of Kraak Helzak, are said to have setup a choke point defense of a the Pass of Thorns nearby Kheldrivver, with wall, trench, and explosive charges placed at the pass, doing much damage to the undead before the War Council needed to fall back in retreat to Kheldrivver and then further still in general retreat to the Troll Claws to the south.

When Revenark and the local Lords Alliance commander, a Flaming Fist Colonel, ordered a general retreat from Kheldrivver as the undead prepared to overrun their position at the settlement citadel, two brave and seemingly suicidal warriors of Kraak Helzak volunteered to cover the War Council and Lords Alliance retreat. The two, known as the dwarf Durin and the gnome Raz, charged into the advancing undead lines as the rest of the War Council forces retreated to the Troll Claws to the south.

As some Hellriders watched from a hill to the south of the battle, they saw the two doomed of Helzak charge into the undead lines head on, and while quickly overwhelmed, fight to the last of their heroic spirit, until the General himself appeared on the field, only to see Durin and Raz detonate explosive charges nearby him as was seemingly planned, killing many of the General's undead vanguard and possibly even wounding the General himself, before being torn to shreds by the General's eternals and the General's own blade in short order, Raz lasting a bit longer as his small gnome form dodged about from undead pursuers. There are many a tale told about whether these two would ever be found, and if they were, in how many different pieces.

It is said that if Kraak Helzak is next in the undead path, that the warriors and slayers of clan and kin of the depths will be shouting brave Durin and Raz's names, not in mourning, but as frenzied rallying cries against undead foe.

Despite the heroics, the battle was lost, but with significant amounts of fallen eternals in the fields before Kheldrivver. The General's army is now said to march to the area of the Troll Claws, perhaps on its way to Kraak Helzak or perhaps even on direct march to the very walls of Baldur's Gate by the northeastern Fields of the Dead...

In other rumors, it is spoken that all raids of the undead via teleports about the Western Heartlands seem to have ceased, whether thwarted by some operation of the War Council or by the General's own design.

Some visiting the Friendly Arm Inn recently might see a substantial group of trade carriages stopped at the Friendly Arm Inn and bearing the consignment marking of the Sword Coast Commercial Exchange and guarded by some of the Everwatch organization, unable to go further north on business with the army of the Blight and Magmire making the path to Baldur's Gate further north unsafe still to travel.
