This is because embedded youtube videos break all posts under it.

Not sure if this was posted but the FR Calendar, at least the quick easy access, is missing. I am still searching for the post myself

Hot-Link posting permissions are back to sign-up rather than after 5 posts as per the previous rules. This will need to be fixed pretty soon before the bot hordes arrive.

I was able to fix the youtube BBC code with a little bit of tinkering around. Let me know if the youtube windows are too big/too small, as I can adjust that.

Unfortunately, all previously posted youtubes will have playback errors unless you go into the post and edit it. Make even the slightest change and it works though. For example, on the whole "what I'm listening to" page, I just edited a "t" into everyone's post, saved it, then went back and edited the "t" away. Works. But the 138 pages before page 139 will all show playback errors unless someone does that on their own posts going backwards.

In other words, youtube works now. But only "from this point moving forward."

The Youtube thing was kind of a big deal (to me, anyways), so thanks, Big Mac!

Thanks Steve and Mac for stepping up and taking care of stuff that I haven't been able to yet.

I've skimmed through this topic. A lot of good feedback here, so thank you all!
I've been able to handle quite a bit of it already. I'm going to implement some of the changes Steve has done to the layout in the coming week as well, so that should put your profiles back to the left at least :-P

I was hoping to put the FR calendar back in today as well, but unfortunately that relied on some code that no longer works in the new forums. Gotta rebuild that one :-(

Apart from that, most of my work has been done to the header, so you should see some familiar buttons back there (like the wiki, and the different post overviews), and perhaps some new stuff as well.

Enjoy and keep the feedback coming!

It would be great if the smiley icons could be made into sharper SVG's.
They look pixelated and ugly.

I also feel the way quotes are rendered is distracting.
Instead of adding a sense of structure and overview they have become hard to read and keep track of.

I suggest adding extra top or bottom spacing between quotes. And making the attribution line a lot clearer / bigger.
And I'm not a fan of the quotes within quotes within quotes by way of a diagonal spacing. The box-within-box approach is a lot clearer.

Yes, the way quotes are currently setup, is visually awful. I’ll try and adjust those and other bits this week.

As long as Z-man has the time, we can probably be some new changes in place on the weekends, maybe every other one, until the Forums get totally fixed. We can only hope!
