Base/Single Class Heroes (weekenders Group)

Hello!
Zanniej and I came up with a crazy idea to put together a story-first adventuring group that has a rule that limits the Character to a Level 30 base class.
This follows the initial D&D aspect of:
The Race would be up to the Player.
This group would meet probably only on the weekends, for a 2-3 hour session, but only as RL availability permits. And Z-man and I are in the European time zones.
Also, starting at Lvl 1, in a Tavern, after hearing of a advertisement for a small quest into a dangerous dungeon....
I’d also suggest, for fun, that each Character can be gifted (twinked) a SINGLE item of the Players choice, something that can be made an aspect of the Characters background.
FYI, I’ve done this “project” a number of times before, and it’s a ton of fun if you like inter-Character RP, and aren’t interested in getting anywhere fast.
Questions? Comments? Let us know either here or in a PM. Cheers.

To start off we want to fulfill the 4 basic archetypes: Cleric 30, Fighter 30, Rogue 30, Wizard 30. If we could even manage THAT, then we’d like to add additional Base 30 Classes (barbarian, spirit shaman, etc.).In the original Dungeons & Dragons boxed set, there were only three main classes: the Cleric, the Fighting man, and the Magic-User. The first supplement, Greyhawk, added the Thief as a fourth main class, as well as the Paladin as a Fighting Man subclass. These four fantasy gaming archetypes represent four major tactical roles in play: the Fighter offers direct combat strength and durability; the Thief offers cunning and stealth; the Cleric provides support in both combat and magic; and the Magic-User has a variety of magical powers. In many ways, other classes are thought of as alternatives that refine or combine these functions. Dwarves and Halflings were restricted to the Fighting Man class, and Elves were restricted to the Fighting Man and Magic-User classes; all three non-human races had limited level advancement.
The Race would be up to the Player.
