OOC: A lot of people are interested in helping do little things and clear up after the great siege events. Rather than stressing the DMs with these barrage of information and so on, this thread collates it and allows for people to make their own decisions.

So the rules are as follows:

OOC Time: 4th January

In the aftermath of the first assault on the walls, Reine withdraws to the city to meet with the men she has within it. The battered woman has clearly withstood a great deal - her armour is damaged, despite its now impressive fortification.

Despite her condition, she makes her way to her men, under the command of Lord Bristhorne and orders that as many men as she can make their way up to retrieve the bodies of the fallen, working with those adventurers who choose to join them.

At the same time, she orders her siege engineers to see to the catapults and determine if there can be any repairs done.

Thistle left the well defended eastern wall worried but at the same time in higher spirits than before. Having seen the valiant prowess of her companions she is certain that the siege won't be an easy matter for the undead.
She returns to the city looking for supplies and a place to lay low. Resting and gathering her strength for the next assault.

At the same time looking out for fellow members of the Elder Circle, which she trusts the most and would see at her side. Like Quint, who fought on the wall beside her. Although she knows him only from brief encounters.

She is proud to being able to help Baldur's Gate at this time of impending doom. Especially as she sees it as giving back a bit of the assistance which was granted to her village Gullykin over the years.

After the battle, Narga(is what Zaiaku is known by) suggests burning the bodies of all who have fallen and could not be saved to prevent them from joining the ranks of the undead in the future.

In addition, he would also suggest adding some kind of ballista that fired chained spears to the fortifications to prevent the siege transport abominations from moving too close to the walls in the future.((Shackle their legs to the ground or trip them etc, etc...))

Once done, he would leave the cleanup to someone else. He does however secretly take a few samples of undead flesh from the three main types of undead that sieged the wall. Looking back over the battered walls and muttering. "Why stop..." And heading into the city. Clearly, he thinks the undead are up to something.

A rather large looking elf wearing a stoic and weary expression, his red cloak tattered and several pieces of his heavy armor severely dented, would be seen repeatedly descending and ascending the eastern wall as he physically supported any defenders too injured to move on their own. A few times he would even descend the wall carrying a body, or sometimes even two slung over his broad shoulders, while offering a look of dire warning to any who would try to set the fallen defenders aflame. For long hours the warrior would help remove the fallen, bearing them away to whichever Temple was closest.

After his arduous task was complete, the battered looking and heavily armored elf would stride slowly towards the smithy, his assortment of gore splattered weapons clanking heavily as he went. The warriors stoic demeanor would crumble briefly as he walked, a grim expression tinged with relief flitting across his features, and he might be heard to speak in a low rumble as he swung the door to the smithys shop open...

Following the battle at Baldur's Gate's east wall, a ragged and beaten Rags is seen tending to the wounded, and looking for survivors among the many bodies that litter the battered fortifications. He is then witnessed praying and extending Ilmater's blessings to the fallen, before they are taken away by the militia to be either buried or burned.

Before retiring to the city proper, the wandering priest casts one last glance over the parapets of the east wall, holding Ilmater's banner high in his hands, like a defiant taunt to the undead host.

Not long after the undead retreat, Atashka would discreetly retire away from the heroic group of defender and find herself among the many lost souls that gave their life during the siege. A look over her shoulder, she peeks to make sure no one has caught her attention and proceed to collect remains of the unholy invaders. Stashing several parts among her belongings, the form of a wicked grin is drawn in her satisfied face. Muttering a spell under her breath, her fingertip would ignite a small flame that she casts upon the corpses, proceeding to their slow and unavoidable destruction.

After ensuring the continuity of a more darker agenda, she returns shortly to the others...

Western Wall Defense

January 4th

After the horde falls back on the retreat Kory can be seen ignoring his own wounds to tend to the others praying over them consistently to near exhaustion before retiring for few hours only to return and begin anew healing and restoring for the next attack. As he does he helps to organize groups to shore up downed wall areas and clean up the dead.

Western Wall Defense - January 4th

Kirias looks on wearily as the undead fall back to regroup between attacks on the western wall. Dead and undead bodies litter the wall, the stones slippery under his feet with gore.

He continues to pour his soul into the air, healing all on the wall, while focusing his storms and fire and divine magic on the next wave of walking corpses and pestskulls and horned undead minions. His Dharashan brothers and sisters wield blade and bow and magic against their foes, cutting the numbers down quickly.
He watches as a giant water elemental, which he knows to be a transformed elven maiden, wades into the press of undead, swinging her liquid limbs and scattering the enemy.
He turns sharply as the Weave cries almost as if in pain, and is not surprised to see Master Kael, drawing and shaping the Weave into a maelstrom, unleashing it in a wave of destruction that all but clears the southern end of the wall. Kael's face is unreadable behind his mask, yet the priest has the sense that he wears a grim smile of satisfaction.
The First Mage however, wears a pained expression on her face, forcing the Weave to answer her call, bringing fire to her foes. Kirias realizes it must be torment for her to do so, to push the opposing side of her powers.
As a balm, the priest calls yet another healing blessing into the air above the wall, causing the divine wind to descend on all the defenders, hoping he can ease their pain, even if only a little.
All through the fray he sees arrows from elven archers, and the glint off an elven blade just before an enemy falls, a limb or head flies free of its owner. Mendel is there, he knows, though he cannot see the lithe elven leader.
He shakes his head to clear it, grips his fiery mace and lays about him at the descending cloud of pestskulls, shouting a Seldarine blessing to throw them back...and time loses meaning...

The hours pass, and eventually the enemy falls back, defeated, decimated....so many undead are no more, and the defenders stand victorious, with few casualties. The human forces defended their city with blood and honor.
The Dharashans fared well, even on uncertain ground in the human city...

Then why is it I do not feel like we have won this day? When will we be able to truly enjoy the peace we so desperately desire...?

Eastern Wall Defense
OOC Time: 4th January

An elven maiden stood upon the ramparts and looked up to the sky for answers. Four seasons ago Angharradh had given her a series of visions, culminating in the three entities of the Mother calling her to the very gates of Arvandor.....

Now, having passed the gift of this information to the heads of her house, House Ahmaquessir, she had been instructed to stay within these lands. After all, war was good for business and the aftermath of which even greater profits might rain, but Eithna always felt uneasy with this proclaimation and her goddess had not given her any further visions since that time. Still, though she felt she somehow betrayed the wishes of God by submitting to the dictation of her earthly betters, here was the chance to make amends and appease all. There could be no profit, if this kingdom of men were to fall, especially to these uncompromising undead.

So, she felt the mother's embrace once more, however weakened in this land besieged by the forsaken, as rays of the moon pierced through the circling carrions to light upon Eithna's face. She fought with all the fury of the wind, if elegantly between drawn arrows in a beautiful dance, lay powerful curses upon the undead, all while searching to inspire the defenders around her.

In the aftermath, the carnage that lay around her suddenly became a terrible burden upon her shoulders, as she felt shame for the greed she had allowed herself to be swept up in come to fruition. She staggered toward the elfsong tavern, tears in her eyes, unable to look at the terrified denizens of this once proud kingdom. She drank her honey wine and sang gently with the sad dirge of the elven maiden, all while she wept for those whom might have suffered for she and her people's sins....

Hammer 5th early morning.

*After spending some time getting updated upon the siege Terri would head to the east wall to relieve someone from there post. She would spent most of the rest of the night there watching, waiting. When the sun rises a song would drift down over the city. While not the best of singers a lot of emotion would be delivered with her song*

When the Sun arises we sing in praise,
another day of living begins with grace,
So soft the grays lighten fed with from the light rays,
May all the God bless us and protect us this day.

Many tears are shed this night.......
Oh daylight overcome the blight.........
We all need our fear to fight..............
Blessing will come to set things aright...........

Praise the sun oh people this day,
For it brings new hope some say,
children's laughter will come to stay,
When the blight is brought to bay,

Many tears are shed this night.......
Oh daylight overcome the blight.........
We all need our fear to fight..............
Blessing will come to set things aright...........

Northern Wall Defense
ooc time: 5th january

The last tower fell and the hordes swarmed the parapets. This part of the wall was lost! With a last effort the defenders were able to hold them back from the inner town. But for how long?

Magmire showed up with her Behemoths of undead parts patched together. Several fathers didn't help of course. But at least those could be dealt with, eventually. But not the Talassan priestess and not her big masses of undead flesh. Which were instrumental in helping with the conquest by being an unnatural bridge to the lesser abominations.

Now only a tight vigil on this weak part in the defense system would help, if at all. The hin Thistle prayed to Mielikki for strength and resolve. At least no fallen comrades were left behind.

Upon receiving this particular report from her siege pups, Reine nods in a regretful manner. "Pull them back inside the city and start work as soon as you can. All we can do is make the best of what we have. We'll work with it."
