Re: Hymn of Requiem Balance Changes
In pvp Requiem is pretty op, you can run out of a silenced area.. and for Sonic immunity, anyone with a wand of lesser spell breach makes that useless.

Re: Hymn of Requiem Balance Changes
PvP is extremely low in terms of priority (always last as far as I'm concerned), however in PvE the healing is what matters, especially for STR bards who deal much more physical damage in a round than their requiem does.

Is this nerf bat going to land on Favored Souls and Druids (esp. Dragon Druids) any time soon? They can heal, fight and tank just as well as our friend the bard after all ...

Once the nerf monster is fed past midnight, it keeps on growing and growing.
There will always be something op relative to something else.
That is why WotC does not ban OP cards and combos in Magic: the Gathering. They ban only the ones that severely limit deck variance at tournaments due to becoming ubiquitous there, and then only the ones that become ubiquitous at top 8.

Re: Hymn of Requiem Balance Changes
One alternative would be to leave this as-is and add a new requirement, CHA 19 (to stick with the SD and Heirophant reqs). This would prevent the STR bards from cheesing it out, for the most part, wouldn't it?
Or put the pre-req CHA even higher and boost it up a bit?

Re: Hymn of Requiem Balance Changes
And as long as the target of the Song of Requiem is silenced he will be immune to sonic damage anyhow, which means that movement on the bard's side is meaningless when damage is concerned.Ariella wrote: ↑Wed May 22, 2019 3:35 pmRunning out of a silence area does not restart the requiem, it's on a 2m CD.
While the ability is strong it is very easy to counter. Casters can use Energy Immunity if they want to keep casting spells, while everyone else can use silence wands. I can find reason in bringing down the healing aspect a peg, but decreasing the damage will only affect and encourage the unprepared. To the prepared people this ability does nothing.

Yep just crap moves on this server over and over again. No real imagination. Just cheap moves.

Re: Hymn of Requiem Balance Changes
Yep, i second that. Otherwise i understamd why so few poeple play high level bards at the moment. It makes the bard uninteresting and pretty much useless.

Re: Hymn of Requiem Balance Changes
bards are still very powerful, and they are not healers.
