A merchant would be stood in Baldurs gate near the entrance to the town flocking his wares, he would be shouting out in a clear loud voice
"Come one come all, the Golden Wheel has everything you need, why you sir, with the hat, why dont you come take a look at our excellent selection of odds and ends, unique weapons and items from all over the coast!"
On the merchant's table, there would be a selection of unique and wonderful items, starting from the left...
The Golden wheel merchant would also inform folk that they had current deals with the other merchants in the town of Baldurs gate, able to offer some of the best appraisal services to businesses and individuals alike, one simply had to inquire for more detail.
There would also be a note further down that 10% of all sales would go to the current refugee camp near the gate. The Coin going towards better shelter and medicine for the people in the camp.

"I don't know what you are expecting from the items you have. If it is an auction, would 100 bags of gold be good for a start as a bid, for each the Amulet of second chances and the Salamander fullplate?", inquires Chen.

The merchant would consider for a moment and shake his head.
"A bit below what I had hoped to gain, especially for the full plate as it is quite rare, especially when you wear it and feel how light it is, considering the protection it both offers from blade and fire!"

Setting a bottle of liquor down in a secluded area and kindly asking it to wait for him, a tall, bearded man would approach the table of fine goods. After browsing over some of the wares he'd look to the merchant,
"Mhm... knew ye had a keen eye fer the good stuff when I heard ye shout somethin' about me hat! Yessir, this is a fine hat indeed, finest one I ever did own. O' course I like the finer things, ya know, and ye've got a couple fine things right there if my eyes don't deceive. That hammer there'd be a fine replacement fer me own and an excellent piece that blade there is as well. I'll give ye a thousand... nay eleven hunnerd bags worth fer the both of em!"
Every now and again, he'd peer in the direction of the bottle he has waiting for him, but remains at the table looking around at the rest of the goods and the people gathered about.
