As final preparations were made, and loads lashed to the carts, the men of Rocky Creek took final account to ensure the supplies were in place. Confident that this delivery would satisfy the requested order, pleased smiles and excited energy surrounded the caravans before their departure.

A large gathering at Triel redefined the current position. House Darius, and Rocky Creek trade company brought building material, personal equipment, and goods. Both brought such extras that the Triel Militia was brought up to full readiness. Training would be led by Commander Keene, and overseen by Captain Vemaar.

Magical aspects were completed by an alliance of arcanists, Guards and wards are secured with more to come. The Fort area deemed secure. Casters covering all aspects of movement too.

Art and charity had it's part to play, the new darling on the coast, and a valuable addition to any house art provided wealth and perhaps purpose, for many a message hidden in a masterpiece. An auction of art was somewhat lacklustre, perhaps two artists in the one field was too much, with Tomas the war artist, and Adrian Baker present, then let us say things were a little off hue.

Scouting support from adventurers was first class and driven by representatives from many military orders. The Order of the Radiant Heart, the Everwatch were present certainly.

Links to the Lords Alliance were secured by strong scrolls, and Triel was firmly in control of it's destiny, like a spider sitting on a web, and yet.

It was spiders turned out to be an issue, some lost rangers, a striking sortie, sacrifices to Lolth, drow, and spiders. A new dimension uncovered. Though held at a distance it seems the Hobgoblins had managed to secure some potent allies- the spider Cult, perhaps others.

The rangers surely betrayed, dangerous allies appearing, things moving swiftly.

This change in tactics led to prompt action from Captain Vanders, 5 bags for each baleful mandible handed in. Be warned these new spiders will need a team to bring them down, both fierce and terrible, they can easily tear a lone adventurer apart.

This was almost instantly matched by an equal offer from Sy'lfaar of SShamath

//OOC hand in can be at either location by arrangement (dm spartacus) collecting these offers gold yes but also a level of support or denial for the spider cult. So in handing them in a group might declare on which organisation (Guild) thye are handing them in and whether they are for or against the spider cult. (changes will be influenced by this activity as will opportunities)

Trouble at Triel

News just in. A strong Hellrider patrol left to rescue the hamlet of Tree threatened by a Hobgoblin host. This appears to have been a distraction. More close to home Elements of the Triel militia led by Commander Keene, and a smaller troop of Hellriders went out to evacuate a nearby hamlet. The Hellriders and the Commander made a stand against a huge spider attack while the militia Captain led out hamlet survivors safely back to the fort. The others fell to the spiders. A second hamlet to the south was also under threat. Some adventurers were at the fort reviewing their regular aid and were bale to send for further help. Many Guilds and citizens rallied to the call. An attack against the spiders was successful uncovering signs of sacrificing troops and villagers to Lolth at the hamlet. To the south Devils were spotted, there is some talk they were led by Yhogovolish the Invincible. Driders and Goblins made up the others who were there to lure out troops but they were driven off by the strong showing of Guild forces.

Order was restored. Questions remain and the threat to the area better defined.

The application from a warrior Vionreza is received and considered before a reply is sent by a serious looking Captain of the Hellriders.

Building continues, and a strong show of active patrolling by Hellriders and some adventurers continue the cat and mouse scouting. The forces deployed by the Hobgoblins for scouting noticeably gather in magic and skill and the game requires continued attention. All intelligence says the hordes has drifted away for the moment.

Captain Vanders is preoccupied in negotiations for a captured Hellrider but nonetheless consults on the application briefly. Reassured Guild members have already been present and assisting she has no trouble adding this name to the list of those assisting there work from time to time.

She turns back to a map adding a few spider symbols, and some hobgoblin markers denoting the most recent scouting reports. Things seem in control for the moment.

Captain Haven of the Everwatch arrived at Triel to purchase war bonds to support the effort to hunt terrible and fierce baleful spiders - a reward still stands 5 bags a mandible.

Turns out aprisoner swop was underway however he managed to interrview the prisoner pre swop and tricked him. He gathered some information about an occupied Orc cave in the very east of Wood of the Sharp Teeth.

Help was sent for and Phoenix, Halls of Inner light, and Druid was represented for certain. An expedition found and searched the cave against Orc opposition.

There were signs of stockpiling and preparations to support the spider cult. Rumours of spies circulated too.

The prison swop was completed. Additional war bonds were purchased.

Bearing a copy of a letter written by a young soul whom wished to inform those he still had in wait at home, being employed as a ranger before ending up a sacrifice, Finn finds himself in the main camp, asking around if the person at all came across familiar to them, if they knew where his family resided or if they know who may have ended up hiring them. The same was attempted in nearby villages...

The cloak, containing the symbol of the Order of the Radiant Heart, fluttered behind the elf as she quickly made her way to the fort of the Hellriders. Upon arriving she saluted Captain Vanders and acknowledged Finn who was already in conversation with the Hellrider Captain. The elf plopped down the bag of spider mandibles, a few spilling out. When offered the coin reward she held up her hand and said to just put it towards the war bonds.

The news exchanged was frustrating and surprising. The elf screamed inwardly but managed to kept her face blank and she could sense that the man beside her was feeling very much the same. Never would she have thought the Hellriders to be incompetent and yet... here they stood. They had been infiltrated and it had cost the lives of a good many. These deaths should have been preventable. Now the question surfaced... could there be more betrayers in their ranks?

With their information now given to the Captain, the man with the bear mauled arm... he would no longer be able to fool the Hellriders and deliver his victims to the hobgoblins who were supporting this spider cult. Things would now move elsewhere.

Finn and Boots left Triel, concerned and heavily frustrated sighs escaping them. Now the search began frustratingly anew.

The wandering Hoarite sighed, with not so much hidden frustration. If anything, in his mind, he found Vanders rather incompetent and the entire deal smelled of rot to him. His mark had eluded him for now, scared, perhaps, by his digging around. This was good, Finn liked it when they ran. After all, the chase was better than the catch...

As a positive side-effect, in the coming time, this entire development lead to a drastic decrease in spider activity, giving militia and Hellrider forces some minor relief and hopefully, Shrine of Eldath and other locations as well. A minor victory, but a victory no less.

Templar Gyren Edwood of the Song of the Morning and two other Lathanderites could be seen entering the Triel camp. They had an audience with Captain Vanders. "My duty at the Temple might have prevented me from rendering more aid to the war effort here, but I hope that purchasing the war bonds and these supply and equipment would be of some help."

He then donated a selection of armor, weapons, and supplies that he collected during his pilgrimage throughout the Sword Coast. These included armors that were made of Mithril, weapons that give an edge over goblinoids, and arrows and bolts with an assortment of magical effects and elemental damage, as well as a crate of alchemist fire and acidic flasks.

Before the trio of Lathanderites left the camp, Gyren was also approached by a book merchant asking him to sell some of his books that found no interest at the camp. He could be seen receiving several titles from the merchant.

After divination and scrying, Alyssia returns to the Triel encampment, she warns of impending threats, that the spiders may be lead by a demon and will likely launch an offensive at the encampment in an effort to split the heroes of the Coast. She requests that he take all precautions for a major offensive in the next few days and to prepare the men and camp as best they can.
