The frequent guest of Doron Amar, seen often over the last several months... though much quieter in the recent tenday... Comes and goes often. Most times stopping to speak with the one called Boots before leaving again. She was last seen ushering Rhys and a few others to his tower for 'nice safe lectures' before leaving, muttering about finding the others.

As she departs... the red-clad poet hums no waltz...
"Play nice." Mum
"Mercy, even to the least deserved."
"Revenge is beneath me, but Accidents happen..."
"Even Echoes fade to silence."

Beatrix can now be seen eating Blueberries from a wooden box that seems to have randomly been acquired... how no one is sure..... though she adds them to her lovely pickle sandwiches often enough to make people gag likely

The moon elf does a double take at B and shakes her head. It has now been double confirmed in her own mind (though it was pretty much decided already) that she won't ever be having kids of her own. Blueberries, were however, now on the breakfast menu.

An elf, dressed in black, slips quietly into the doorway of the room holding Councilor Silverarrow. He is known to some as Elundir, only as assassin by others, and his presence always inspires angst, even amongst his kin.

He was fine with this, for it was the life he has choosen. Now however, several days after the rescue of the councilor, whom he respects and one of the few who know his true purpose, something has changed.

He can only see the councilors head resting quietly on his pillow, for the one known as Vanira is by his side, standing vigil and blocking Elundir's view from the doorway. Her ears perk up ever so slightly at his arrival. Clever girl, he thinks, but knows that one false move could prove fatal.

He did not mean to linger, nor announce himself, that was not his purpose. Only to see this man safe, and apparently in the care of one who loves him. He slid back out through the shadows and down the hallway, when suddenly a noise from down the hall stops him.

"Gods damn it Renec, I told you don't forget the blueberries", he hears the voice of Beatrix as she is seen waddling far down across his view with her hulking and handsome human warrior in tow. "But...", he begins to say and then is abruptly interupted, "But nothing!", Beatrix replies as the human drops his eyes to the ground and they fade from view.

It is then that the rarest of things occurs, a wry smile cracks the lips of this usually stoic elf and for the first time, in maybe his life, it is because of happiness. But it is at this moment that he turns to think of his mentor and what he must do.

He steps out the back door and picks up his pack of supplies that he has prepared for his trip into Amn. Elundir fought for this and I will not abide his dissapearance, the elf thinks as the smile fades from his face, replaced by a grim determination. So, he sets off through the cloud peaks in search of the only elf who had ever truly cared for him, the real Elundir Cys'varion.

The moon elf glances between the pouch of strawberries she always keeps on hand and B... her face serious as if debating something that could be world ending.

Slowly ... she takes the pouch and unties it from her belt and carefully offers it to B.

"You can dip them in chocolate, cream, freeze them, or combined all of that at once.. but none of that other crazy stuff! Treat them and guard them well, because little else is more delicious as these."

*Beatrix takes a couple of the precious strawberries from the pouch and calmly eats one regularly while tucking the other away in her own pouch..... people observing this get the sneaky suspicion this secreted away strawberry will end up another victim of cravings..... there will be a wake held for it later*

The moon elf stands up abruptly, picks up the jar of ink off the table she is using as a desk, and chucks it at the wall. The glass shatters and the ink splatters and runs down the wall. The shattering sound failed to bring any kind of release to it all. Her eyes watch the ink slip its way down the wall... almost staring through it lost and drowning in her thoughts.

There was so much that needed to be done... and in so many different places at once. Not all of this was going to be pleasant but she couldn't think of another way...

"Don't fail me now feet... "

Her fingers curled around the hilts of her blades as she turned stepping into the shadows and out the door. The question was who was she going to run into first... the bhaalists or the traitor?

The ink continued to slowly run down the wall.

"We've been given the charge to watch for the Bhaalists that have reportedly taken to the Sharpteeth. Don't take actions yet once you spot one, we are to simply follow and track them back to their base of operations. Once we have that information we are to report back and let Councilor Rhys know so we can regroup and move in."

Her wintery blue eyes look over all that are gathered, taking a head count and note of all those heading out with her.

"We will take to the shadows as soon as our feet leave Doron Amar. Keep in visual range of at least one other so we can pass along signals of what we find. If there are no further questions... let's head out."

The moon elf pulls a hood up and over her head... her clothes light and in the shades of the forest instead of her usual garb. She waits a moment to see if their are any with questions... and if there are none, she gives the signal to take to the shadows and move out.

She had mixed feeling on how the meeting went. Knots twisted in her gut for most of it; something that she was careful to keep from her face. It wasn't so much that she worried about if she would be a Councilor or not... she could care less if she was or not. Gods knew she was no politician nor was she an expert of war and battle. What she feared was for people's blind spots, for wolves in sheep's clothing amongst them. Those that seek power were usually those that had motive and would only be further corrupted by it. The thought of someone with ill intentions or a betrayer bringing harm to the home she had found here was sickening. It had been over a century since she has last dared to call any place by that name, home, and she'd be damned before she let anyone take that from her.

After the meeting most made their way to the festival grounds for food and fellowship. There were new faces amongst them that in turn only to really be faces that had been gone for a good length of time suddenly returning. Wanderlust could be like that, but still the timing of it had her inwardly raises a brow. She could of course be reading into it a bit more then was really there... that did on occasion happen to be the case. Still caution was what had kept her alive through so many centuries.

When most had gone off to tend to other things, that is when Lance appeared. The moon elf couldn't help or contain her joy at seeing her best friend alive... and in one piece again. Jumping over a chair to get to him quicker she ran to him and wrapped her arms around him in a welcoming, death grip like embrace. Suddenly the feeling of foolishness hit her and worry in case the armor of his might still be covering healing wound she stepped back and smiled to him sheepishly and greeted him.

The two of them talked of the events that occurred on their last venture out. He has come to check up on her; she assured him that she was fine. He was so somber and distant that she couldn't help but worry. The memory of his tortured and broken body being the first thing she saw when she had tumbled free of her stone coffin prison haunted her. While he didn't remember how he had gotten free of his torment or the angel taking him from her to take him to a place of holy healing, he clearly remembered the details of how his body had become so mangled. The elf had to choke back a sob as the memory flashed in front her again as she looked to his face. Simply whispering that she had been afraid she has lost him.

She wanted to ask him a thousand questions but kept them from bubbling like a brook by biting her tongue. If he wished to talk of it, he would bring it up at the right time. Linking her arm to his in another attempt to cheer him up a little with the small comfort of her presence. They stopped and spoke to a few others that they bumped into before making their way down to the village's entrance. Vanira pulled out her bow and took her post; extra men were needed to keep watch for Councilor Rhys' talk at the tower tonight. She'd have to remember to get the highlight review from Sjinn later.

Lance sat beside her, keeping each other company during the watch. Talking a bit more about the events between pauses to talk to those wandering into Doron Amar. The sun had tucked itself in for the night and the stars above the tree tops sparkled in a dance only they knew. The next shift of rangers came to replace Vanira and Lance spoke of heading back north to the Gate. She shook her head and easily convinced him to stay the night in the inn. He wouldn't really been needed till the morning's sunlight could kiss his face anyways.

Linking her arm back with his she guided him back to the inn, letting him have her room for the night. Placing a kiss on each of his cheeks she sent him into her room and sat just outside the door pulling an old cigar box from her pack. From here she would be able to hear if he would need her to pull him from the terrors that dreams could be. She may not be much of a healer, but a small touch of a hand to let a presences known, that she could do... and had done for Mel and Siveyn after their rescues from the Demonoligist.

Her hand moved retrieving to a hidden pouch and pulled out and uncurled a number of papers with a soft sigh. There was much to be done... the first being a reply to a letter...

Air violently shoved into her lungs as her life rushed back to her body. Vanira's mind went to work on the mental check list:

What woke you? Magic..
What do you see? Cliff, sand, Lance, WTF Charraj
What do you smell? Seawater, old blood, stale death
What do you feel? numb, naked!?!?!
Can you move? Yes.
Where are you? Beach.
Is there Danger? Maybe.

She rolled to the side away from Lance and vomited as the sensation of life returning continued to move through her body... gods she always hated that part.

There were others that came... they spoke, asked questions.. made statements... pieces of a puzzle... slowly being put together.

Lance was there... gods, Lance... he came for her... and what ever happened did not go well. Scarlett was undead?! Working for Kalma?!? Gods... hate ... they will all die for this ... horribly.. utterly... a death of the worst kind.

Keep yourself together... don't loose it.

Why are we missing our clothes? Our gear? Lance... there is a brand on his neck...

Her hand flew up to touch her own... there was one on hers as well.

Terror. Gods.. a Geas?!?!?... was there spell on her. What it force her to do now? She couldn't go back to that, she didn't want to go back to that life... forced to do the will of another until the contract of the spell was completed.

Horror of it all... still sinking in. People talking, questions, answers...

She was afraid.. empty.. alone.. but there was Lance beside her. Taking her home.

Gods .. what had happened?

The elf stops and inclines her head to the Rangers as she enters Doron Amar. She pauses... "Spread the word that we are home. "

She speaks quietly with Lance before he leaves her to rest by the waterfall. The sound of the waters drowning out the feuding of the feet.

A messenger obviously hired from the Gate arrives in Doron Amar and delivers a sealed letter to the first ranger he comes across. After leaving instruction to deliver the letter to the Council, he leaves hastily, apparently keen to be out of the woods once more.
Moving one piece at a time in defence of the Gate.

Vanira takes the note from the ranger on duty and inclines her head respectfully. She exchanges a few pleasantries with the elf and they talk about shifting a few of the watches around.

Letter in hand she starts to head to her room in the inn and pauses by the notice board and tacks up another notice that she'll be leading another group exercise in a few days. It is highly recommended one attend.
