Re: Doron Amar Role-Play
[The small, silvery gray feline, who cat enthusiasts might have called lovely once... is again seen in the Wood of Sharp Teeth, dodging orc and trying to make her way back toward Doron Amar... Though the small gray cat that returns bears little resemblance to the creature who headed toward the Lion's Way some time ago.
Looking a bit worse for wear only accentuates the sense of loss when you meet the animal's gaze. The inner fire that marks a Familiar from its more mundane counterparts is all but snuffed out. Half hungry, battered and looking out of sorts... the tiny cat continues to hunt for something lost and very much missed. Again, she wanders Doron Amar, occasionally stopping to give passers by a pleading, half hopeful look...]

*Sywyn leaves Vanira's office and heads through the village. Upon spotting the small battered cat he slowly approaches it and pulls a tiny bit of meat from one of his pouchs and crouches down softly calling to it while holding out the treat.*
come here little one, come on *continues to offer the treat* where is your mistress, baby? what is wrong? *waits to see if the treat is taken*

[The gift is gobbled up without much ado, and little more than a mildly grateful glance... the mention of 'mistress' garners a flick of the ears and a look around, before hunger wins out... It is obvious the feline is not much of a huntress in the wild...
Once the food is gone, she studies Sywyn with an intense gaze, seeming to wait patiently for something.]

*pulls out another small piece of meat and looks around for the cats mistress but does not see her*
I should feed you something better then this, *he says to the cat. He begins breaking off small pieces of the jerky and dropping them as he slowly makes his way to the banquet area. Once there he shreds some fowl and fish that are on the table and mixes them in a small bowl before sitting it on the ground and then pours a small bowl of clear water and sits it beside the food. He kneels patiently waiting to see if the cat follows for her meal*

[she follows, largely ignoring the food, studying him carefully once in the banquet area... her posture attempts to communicate something, but the small creature is frustrated... At last the need for water and the smell of fish win. Survival instinct or some obscure feline logic, she is content to accept the kindness, and there is little communication until the meal is done.
Once finished however, she resumes her unnerving study of him. After a time, she looks around and emits a pleading sort of sound. Not hearing the answer she was hoping for after listening for a moment... the small gray feline simply sits, looking defeated.]

*waits for the small creature to finish with its meal and then kneels down close to it, carefully watching it, while looking it over for signs of injury*
What is it that you need little one? *tenatively holds out a gently hand to the cat* "Can you show me? Lead me where you need to go and we will try to fix it."

Re: Doron Amar Role-Play
A slender elf wearing a grey tunic and a black cloak strolls casually down the path towards the scene. He pauses a moment, turning his hooded head to regard Sywyns attempts to communicate with the cat. "I could be mistaken, but I believe you're trying to talk to someones familiar.", he exclaims to the other elf with a slight smirk. "Hmm, I wonder if...". The hooded elf turns away and mutters under his breath in a mystical tongue, makes a small circular gesture with his left hand, then whistles a soft melody. A few moments later a grey cat with bright green eyes and a patch of tan fur under its chin bounds out of the bushes nearby. With an almost haughty stride, the cat prances over to the elfs side, glancing to Sywyn and the other cat before resting back on its haunches and looking up at her master. The new cat gives a single indignant mewl and then stares up at the hooded elf with her head cocked to the side, as if to say, "What now?". With a bemused grin the hooded elf wags a single finger at his familiar, "We'll have no attitude from you now.". He then motions over to the other cat and elf, "Go make some friends you little brat.".
The gray cat looks back to Sywyn and the other cat for a few seconds, then raises up a paw, licking it once and rubbing it over her face before giving a short purr and trotting over beside Sywyn. She then looks up at the other elf, regards him indifferently, and then promptly turns up her nose disinterestedly a second later. The black hooded elf chuckles softly, then just shakes his head as his familiar makes another soft purr and narrows her eyes in the cat equivalent of a smile before turning to the other cat and giving a friendly, yet questioning, 'meow'.

Re: Doron Amar Role-Play
[The small gray cat regards Sywyn's question, first, carefully considering... she then turns her attention to hooded elf with brief interest... When the new cat poses her question.
What follows is a frantic 'conversation' of mewls, ear flicks, tail swishes and various other bits of posture conveying that something is clearly wrong, and someone very dear is missing, taken. Some more frustrated conversing with the new cat, likely about communicating to anyone who isn't a cat being nearly impossible.
She hops briefly on the hooded elf's shoulder, seeming almost in thanks. She then moves to Sywyn as if to assure him that she isn't injured, giving him a show of affection in obvious thanks for the food and water.
Her attention finally turns back to the other cat, and it is evident that the problem is a missing arcanist. She finally pauses, as if to catch her feline breath, studies each in turn... and then takes off back toward the woods, hurried flight, as if the want to search has been renewed.]

*turns to a nearby ranger as the cat scampers off*
Tell Vanira I am going to try to follow the cat and see if I can find out what is going on. *turns to the other elf*
Coming?
*without another word, he heads off racing after the cat into the forest, attempting to track it once in the woods*

Re: Doron Amar Role-Play
The gray cat, after having engaged the other cat in a lengthy discussion, looks up to the hooded elf and swishes her tail, meowing once triumphantly. Without any further hesitation the feline bounds off after the cat and the elf. Her hooded master grins ruefully while unslinging his bow, then races off in pursuit.

Re: Doron Amar Role-Play
A considerable time later, the small cat comes streaking back to Doron Amar, the two fellows and the cat that she lead out of Doron Amar in tow... She runs straight to the door of the inn and paws at it with a desperate insistence, circling impatiently as she waits for the others.

After Vanira makes sure that Echo is safely in a room and being looked after, she paints herself up for war and heads south of Gullykin.
Vanira is covered in dark war paint. Deliberate marking on her body, some in draconic, some it elven, some in halfling, the scripts are all done in a waverly fluid movement as they are shadows cast down on her skin. She gathers the volunteers south of Gullykin... supply tents set up back behind them for wounded and extra supplies.
War and Death are on the wind... and she stands ready.

Re: Doron Amar Role-Play
The elves, halfings of Gullykin, and their allies seem to be moving and gathering barrels up and lining them up in a spaced out arrangement along their camp line. So are boulders and any logs or large limbs.
Stacks of supplies are being regathered and being laid out to be snatched up quickly by anyone that needs them.
All bounding idiots are turned away at a glance.
