Thunder in the Ridge

The hunt had been tireless. For days upon days the orcs of the Ridge had been after the bugbears. Large numbers were slain but more kept coming. They seemed to be driven by the furor a mighty warlord might have instilled in them.
Razz looked over the clan when they had returned licking their wounds in the cave. They were not in the shape to go after the Goblin king alone. A mere three of them had survived the slaughter with the bugbears.
This evenning new arrivals made their way to the cave. The black Uruks of the High Moor had kept their word. A handfull of strong combat Uruks pledged their allegiance and swore to take the fight to the bugbears.
Urrosh led the company towards the largest of the bugbear camps in the Ridge. Here he had seen the Goblin King. The orcs were not there to parley. They made a quick rush on the first group of bugbears they saw and slaughtered them in a whimp.
It was not long before a large gathering of the huge goblins could be seen occupying the hill up the road. Without giving it much thought Razz started to throw axes at the foremost goblins. They came charging and a great clamour arose among the bugbears. Much fear and anger could be felt as their warchief rallied them to fight.
The Uruks slew the first oncomers easily but now a great bugbear wielding powerful magic came down the hill. Razz tried to sling a spell at him but before he could get close he was sourrounded by the chiefs following, bashing merciless at him. With the help of Talos and Urrosh, who apeared from the shadows, he survived. And the Uruks took their revenge. With renewed fervor they drove into the goblin chiefs following and slew them one by one.
Even the mighty shaman and the tribes warchief could not stand to the unleashed fervor of the Uruks. The orcs slew every single one, desecrated the bodies and took the warchiefs head.
This was their spoil! They had prevailed. They had set out to claim ownership of their new homelands and they had succeeded. No more would the bugbears stand up to the clan of the cave!

Urzoth, the small, young uruk, has aspirations of being like the mighty uruks of her clan. Its those aspirations that led her to join the assault on the bugbears and fight side by side with her Uruk brothers. Mighty uruks came to assist the clan, including an unnamed powerfully large uruk that fought only with his fists. Urzoth was impressed. It wasn't the best of strategies that allowed the uruks to defeat the bugbears that day...but rather pure brute force. The bugbear were prepared with full battle gear and large war boars as if they knew the attack was coming. Regardless, being aware of the attack was not enough to save them, not nearly enough.

Laughing at the top of hill where the large bugbear tribe came stood, Urzoth took turns striking classic victory poses with the other uruks over the body of the fallen bugbear chief.

In the weeks after claiming the territory off Thunders Ridge the orcs take tribute of protection from many passing merchants and caravans. Razzkul is aproached by various characters, who seek an audience. He will deal with each one of them *growls

Razzkul had met the woman again and agreed to further talks. He would tell the news to the clan.

((this will be no DM event but we will have a meeting with another faction on Friday, 11th, 7pm GMT (forum clock). Everyone who wants to join in, let`s meet in the cave at about 6:30. That will give us time to get to the meeting place.

An unusual meeting

He had met with the strange female again. She spoke words of praise and of an alliance. Razzkul had decided to meet her in the goblin caves this time. He heard of her allegiances now and listened to her words. Frail as she might look she did represent power. And the Uruks needed allies in the North. At last Razzkul knew where to turn to if things went dire...

*After 1 Night Has Passed Mercury and His Mate Terri Lalani Wake up. After tending to there Baby Tessa they Head out to the Water cave in Thunders Ride. They Walk into the Cave warded and Bold But without showing any Hostility. And Terri Takes a Moment to Look around the Cave for any Spies or Sentries Using her Unmatched Senses. Mercury then Looks under the Same Rock the Original Note was Found under. He looks Back and Terri and then returns to her side. There is no responce yet. But we will try again Latter Loves. The 2 Depart the Cave And vanish back into the Settled Lands of the Gate.

In the previous days the Uruks could be seen hunting game in the Thunder`s Ridge. They seem to prepare for a feast. Large quantities of alcoholic beverages are looted from robbed caravans.
