Mental Information
Alignment: Chaotic Good. (closer to neutral now)
Philosophy: Defend and protect the innocent, remove those who are of evil intent, protect the elves and their culture, and prevent the corruption from within that comes from stagnations and power.
Deity/Beliefs: Corellon Larethian, Father of elves.
Personality: Arionna is a kind heart elf with a strong will do always do as best and as good possible. She ask of herself more then she would ask anyone and try to reach perfection in all she does, leading her to think poorly of herself. Even if she does achieve her goal, she doesn't account it as doing good, merely doing the "minimum required". She thinks she's worth something only because she was chosen by Corellon. Still, she never rest on her failure or on how low she is. She dedicate herself to help all those in need and take some pride in that, and in all the love she can give every one. When it comes to help others or give them what they need, she doesn't take no as an answer. She can be really stuborn, or quite gentle, depending on the situation and the person with whom she is.
Weaknesses: Arionna has a very low self estime and she can't see when she does things good, only thinking it was because of her powers and soul, not because she did good.
Education: She has been teached in her childhood by the best Clerical tutors of Leuthilspar along with her brother Arjay. Her father also took a great interest in her magical (mostly théorical since she had no gift for it) and martial training. When she was 90 she start receiving more formal clerical teaching, but she was never good at it, divine magic being natural to her. She still learned a few things and act as a member of the clergy of Corellon. She also received the training of a bladesinger and knight of Leuthilspar by her father, even is she never became either one.
HISTORY
(The names may change since originaly, this was Arjay's story, but since he left and never gave me the names, I invented mine)
Arionna's Father (Ferawyn) had two wives and one mistress in his life. From his first wife, he had three boys, one died before Ario was born while defending an elven settlement from orcs. The two other survived, but Taesylquis (1st wife) died giving birth to her third boy. She was more then 100 years older then Ferawyn.
It took 40 years before Fera fell in love again, but this time, it was with a woodelf druidess, who was not noble either. His brother, the House Lord, wasn't pleased with that, and Fera didn't want to get into fighting with him, so he never wed Ty'Athalae. Becoming his mistress didn't prevent her from giving birth to three children, who's right were contested amongs the family, but still accepted into the Lo'ran house. The first born was definatly his mother's son. He bored all the sing of being a woodelf and never trully fitted in the moonelf society. The secound son was his father's son. Completly moon elf, he soon showed great promise for learning the arcanes and to follow his father's footstep as a bladesigner.
The last birth was a total shock and suprise for them all. As she came to life, the baby looked like she was made of silver, exept for her eyes, liek two small saphir, and a mark over her heart. Shaped as the exact replic of Corellon's cressent, she was almost like gold. Presented to Corellon's clergy, she was recognised as a favored soul, a chosen of Corellon. He had even marked her so every one would be sure of what she was. We all can guess this wasn't to please the predominantly sunelf clergy, and it brought the Lo'ran house in some strange position toward the infant. She was a bastard, a mixt of two race, but also a chosen of Corellon. So they couldn't treat her bad, had to be honored, but as well, couldn't completly be proud of her origine.
Arionna grew up being cared for by her mother until Ty'Athalae couldn't stand to live in the city anymore. The Lo'ran didn't let her leave with the children. They all had been raised as Lo'Ran and would remain on the isle as the druidess answered the call of the continent's wilderness. Nyfel (the Lo'ran lord) found a new prospect wife for his younger brother and successfully matched them. Ferawyn wed her both because of great affection and because his two younger children needed some motherly care. Amarillis never really knew what to do with the three bastard of her husband, and the rest of the clan never completly treated them as family, even Arionna. With her, they were always respecful, but very distant and sometimes on the verge of arrogance and superiority.
Time passed, Ario grew as a lonely child exept for when she spend time following her brothers around or studiing with her different tutors. Other noble children wouldn't play much with her. Either because she was a bastard, because she was a mixt of two elven races, and wood elf being snobed by most of them, or because she was a favored and it intimitated them. As for the commoner children, they would act very distantly with nobles. She was still able to bound with other children for short period of time, but as soon as she was old enough to have her own temper, she decided she hated bullyers and those who intimidated weaker being. So she became the target of those children. Mostly high nobility children or rich children of merchants. Never was she trully disrespect, either because she was still part of nobility, or because she was a chosen one. But there is much opportunity to threaten others of being friends with her, to ignore her, or to be just on the verge of insult.
She grew her own strenght of will, and never quit her belief for that. She had her brother Arjay, her father, and some short time friends to care and play with. And she had the temple. In her childhood, it was her sanctuary, her heaven. She also had her dreams. One day, she would become a Kerynsyoruess. She would never tired herslef of looking at hem, or to read about them. She was chosen by Corellon, she had a destiny. As she grew up, it became otherwise though.
At the age of 90, she was taken into the temple. They wanted to train her, to shape her as they would need her to be. Some priest were really found of her, and proud to teach her, but most of them were jealous. Not consciently, it was something deep within. Sunelves never trully forgave the moonelf to have became the new rullers after the fall of Mythdrannor. And the belief in nobility and in the purity of the elven race's blood was in them from childhood. So much of them never really knew how to handle her. Had to that that what they had to train hard to get, divine casting, she could wield as naturaly as breathing. She was good with her sword too. Most student couldn't stand her for that, they envied her, yet jaloused her, and snob her because she was a bastard in almost all ways an elf could be.
This ended up for her thinking that she had always to be perfect because she was a favored. Like if because magic was natural to her, because she was touched by Corellon, it was natural to be perfect for her. If she succeeded, it was only natural, and theirfor, she had no merit. If she failed, it was entirely her fault, because she didn't tryed hard enough. That brought her to have a low self-estime, but it opened her mind to others around her. She strongly belief she was born to help and protect all elves, to be the servant of Corellon and of all of his creations.
A year before she was to be perceived as adult and basicaly trained as a "priest" her brothers left Evermeet. They had enough to be treated just berely like family members and to be always seen as bastard. They had decided to travel to their mothers, learn to know her, and then perhaps see the world a bit. Arionna was jsut slightly too young to accompany them, having only 119 years. But she promised herself as soon as she would be able to get her independance, she would join them. And she did.
Following their trace, she learned they were going to Baldur's Gate, so that is why she came here.
Goals: To serves the people and the Radiant heart as best as she can (elves first). She secretly wants to become a Kerynsyoruess (Holy knight) of Corellon, but since she doesn't have much confidence in her own importance, she doesn't think she could ever be worthy of that. But she still dreams of reaching that title.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:Arionna doesn't believe in her own importance. She has a very low self-estime, but she is also very confident in life. She is a dreamer that stand for her conviction. She knows she was born for something great, but she doesn't know what exactly. It could be anything, a threat to the elves she'll be able to solves or anything.
She's a noble of Evermeet and one that as strong connections with the clergy there as well. She could be use by the nobility or the clergy from the Isle to give message or be some sort of diplomat with Doron Amar, make the link between the community and the refuge. And besides, as a favored, she's something special to much people in Leuthilspar, even if priest and nobles never really knew how to handle her.
There is also her mother who can be some powerfull druid, could come to ask for help for some elven wood elf comunity someday.
She made some connections since her arrival in Doron Amar with the dragon that reside there, so you could use him again. She owes him much and would do much to help him if requested.
There isn't that much more that can be used in her Bio since she had a pretty "calm" life before getting to Baldur's Gate
