Background:

Rosemary Webbert is the granddaughter of wealthy merchantman, Cuthbert Botley. From her early years on she was raised under the caring watch of her grandparents and parents in a situation of financial security.

Her mother Catherine was a well known musician/singer/preformer of great beauty. She spent much time abroad following her dreams to be famous for her music. However a few bad breaks and a romance that ended with Catherine pregnant put Catherine in a dire place. She had lost her chance in the public eye, she would never regain her former fame. Settling to living with her parents she found it near impossible to find a suiter of any significants. No one wanted a woman soiled by immorality. At least, it would seem for a time.

Eventually Catherine in her coming and goings from their villa estate in the sea ward to the markets and her fathers shipping business in the docks, caught the attention of a guardsman. Before long she'd find him at his post eagerly waiting to speak with her in her passings. Offering small conversations about the weather and news of interest. A mingling that would not normally be afforded most who passed was often awarded to her by a man she hardly knew.

Before long she too would be eager to venture by the postern gate in which he was known to be posted. In hopes of seeing him, she'd often bring baked goods and dinner for his evening victuals. In time they had grown to care for one another and talks of marriage, a home, a life ensued. Regardless of the fact she was the mother of a small boy, Damian Webbert took Catherine to be his wife. She of wealth, in return took no care in the lowly stature of the guardsman. Even if her father was not happy with her choice in a husband, Catherine could not be merrier.

Through this union Rosemary Webbert entered the world, into a loving home. Her father Damian who was a hard man ruled his house with an iron fist. He tought both the children, Tryss and Rosemary to defend themselves in preperation for their own lives should they choose to live abroad or close to home. Catherine worked in her father's business accounting for coin and expenditures. Rosemary's mother Inherited the family estate after Cuthbert fell ill and passed from the mortal realm.

His business was handed to a junior business partner, Derek Dreux, with the understanding that in time Cuthberts grandson Tryss would take hold of a portion of the company. Though Cuthbert no longer owned the company, Catherine continued to work for Derek.
Derek was a single father, with a daughter of his own, Lauren Dreux. Who was raised as a worshiper of Selune.

Rosemary became near and dear friends with Lauren who was only a few years younger. Much of the life decisions of Rosemary have been altered by these people within her life.

From her mother she's taken a fondness of singing, preforming, and all the necessity of being a proper lady.

From Damian she's learned to defend herself from danger. Taken greatly to practicing with a crossbow whenever she finds the time.

From Tryss she's learned that men are pigs, yet a woman can twist them to their will. Also learned from watching her mother and father interact.

From Lauren whom she will be quick to tell you is her other half, she's learned of Selune, of self confidence, of being original, thinking and acting for yourself, and not to shy away from self indulgence.

Rosemary spent a few years learning in the bard college of New Olamn upon her mothers wishes to see her daughter succeed where she feels she failed.

With these lessons and a life ahead of her, Rosemary with Lauren have traveled from their home in waterdeep on behalf of Lauren's father's business. For the longest time the shipping company had met with little tragidy, assumptions were that Selune had guided them and others of their merchant league to safety and wealth. However ships have come up missing, crews have not returned, and all eyes settle upon Baldur's gate, and the possibility of pirates. The girls have made their way on a diplomatic quest, one that requires that they speak with the locals and find out what is known about the disappearing vessels.
