Personality: Kyogetsu is restrained, calm and cold flegmatic individual, with no sence of humor. He does not value life, thinking, that for some people it is better not to live at all. He sees nothing wrong in killing people, if it is justified by defending one's honor, ideals or being at war. Some may even have heared Kyo saying, that he actually likes the look of blood on snow.

Background:
Kyogetsu does not like do discuss his childhood. When he was 7 years old, his hometown-fortress Yashima was attacked by a rival Daimyo. All his family was forced to commit suicide to avoid being captured. Kyogetsu however did not managed to follow the others. When he was already surrounded by his enemies, suddenly an extraordinary power awoke in him. It took a shape ofa blizzard, freezing every last enemy and castle itself. After that Kyogetsu fled that place. He wandered in the mountains, a power within him changed his nature, so he turned int a youkai called yuki-nin. One day decended from the mountains to to the seashore, where he was found by a soldiers of Kozakuran Imperial Navy. They took a care for a strange child, who became a talisman for the supersticious crew. Together they sailed the seas of Kara-tur, batelled fleets of Koryo, Shou Lung and Wa. Kyo learned to use his powers to slay his own and his camrade's foes. One day a rumors of a strange child reached the ears of the Emperor Kammu the Second (Go-Kammu). Emperor was fascinated and invited Kyogetsu to serve as a court onmyoji.

The ongoing events in empire especially it's clashes with Wa, Koryo and Shou made Kyogetsu realize, that Kozakura will prosper and retain its indegenous culture ONLY If it will stay in touch with progress of all other world, especially experience of non Kara-turan countries, so Kozakurans could stay in touch in technologies, while retaining their indegenousness without developing a inferiority complex to far-west. He demanded the Emperor to start a research project, to study the world, which Kyogetsu gladly consented to participate along with several other scholars.

He travelled through Rashemen, seen Thay and several times been to Chult. In the latter place he met a Yuan-ti abomination cleric, who he became friends with (how exactly is a long story, that involves a lot of massacring of samarachian villages, pursuits, battles etc). after that Kyogetsu became an often visitor to Yuan-ti cities, where the locals took him surprisingly well.

Soon some business (which is actually a research on Drow culture and biology of Illithids) took Kyogetsu to the Sword coast again.

Goals:
1) Become able to freeze any creation to a temperature of absolute zero.
2) Monitor technological progress of Far-western world
3) Research of Drow and Illithids

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
Kyogetsu has a strange and to most extent unacceptable (from Faerunian point of view) values.
1) He is a total fatalist, believing, that destiny rules the world. Every event is predestined. He also thinks, that some people are born with a talented (e.g are sorcs), the others are born failiors and ewen if they work hard (e.g are Wizards), they will remain no match for talented ones
2) Kyogetsu shares a common Eight Million Gods religion belief, that gods have no alignment, but are just obyective. Good and evil are a subjective categories of mortal races, who see only one side of the coin, and do not see, that everything is a part of one flawless world projected and executed by gods, for whom those subjective categories does not ewen exist.
3) Kyogetsu follows a code of warrior morale, which is mostly beyond understanding for most faerunians. It says for example, that if one is backstabbed, it is his own fault, he turned his back to enemy, aswell as valuing wars for opportunity to battle and some higher ideals, that show Kyo not to value life.

4) He also des not share common xenophobia towards monster races, being warmly disposed to orcs, curious and acceptive to drow and having a friend who is in fact a Yuan-ti abomination.
5) Eternal peace is utopia. People will never understand each-other, they will allways cause each-other pain, that leads to revenge, hatred and war. A duty of a man is to protect his beliefs and/or close friends, being ready to kill everyone, who threatens them.
Due to his society being strongly patriarchal, where women have absolutely no rights and are rather under defence of men, Kyogetsu may treat some high-ranking women with derogation, proportional to their arrogance.
Kyogetsu has a surprising insight, being able to understand, who he is talking to just looking in their eyes.
