Long purple tinted hair falls down her back, some of it is braided in ends. Her eyes carry a dreamy yet slightly mischievous look and lips are usually curved in a barely visible curious smile. She talks in a low and relaxed tone, but one might, or might not notice a hint of constant awareness behind the confident and careless facade.

Personality Profile: A very flirtatious persona, appearing curious and carefree. However, behind the confident and careless facade there is a very fragile and afraid character. Xunae doesn't trust fully in her sorceress powers and tends to rather try and seduce others to protect her, or attempt to solve things with diplomacy rather than brute force. She'll mostly fight only if there's a must or if she generates actual hate towards someone (She can actually lose her temper when it comes to Lolth followers). Even though she doesn't trust anyone much, especially other drow females, she can get more relaxed around those who prove their loyalty. Xunae can easily fall under someone's control if in grave danger, but understanding that herself she tries to never get the spotlight for being useful for anything more than flirting. She is always paranoid, always cautious of everything but that does not show easily, for she is hiding her flaws with beauty and careless attitude. In the end, she just wants stability and power, to take an easy breath, and she wouldn't care about others to get there.
Afraid of her fear, sometimes does reckless things to herself just to try and conquer it or in belief that it'll make her more powerful. Also, her natural curiosity sometimes turns out even stronger than her fears.

Background:
Born in to one of the minor houses of Menzoberranzan. Her mother, a strict and cruel woman, the head matron of the house and Priestess of Lolth, had only sons in the family (Be it by chance or perhaps she got rid of all the baby girls in fear of losing her position too early). She started getting old and now she needed an heir to the house. Xunae was born. All of the household were doing their best to raise a faithful Lolth follower and the new heir. However, this little girl had much more joy in setting the curtains on fire than paying attention to the lectures preparing her for the priesthood. She was born a sorceress. Some might have found it a gift, but not in this case. The old matron got furious. She had no use of a sorceress in the family, she needed Xunae as a priestess. Not losing hope yet she forbid any magical actions for Xunae completely, only clerical activity was allowed.
This plan worked... At least for now... Xunae had no choice but to bow to her Mother’s will, and ended up joining the clerical school. All this time she was hiding her actual wishes and abilities to herself, only sometimes sneaking out to train on her own. Always afraid someone will find out, someone will let her mother know.
Xunae grew in to a remarkably beautiful and charismatic woman, just always very cautious and careful about everything that could get her in actual danger. Easily catching attention she learned that beauty and charm is just another weapon. She learned quickly how to lie and flirt her way out of the mansion without her mother getting to know where and when she’s actually leaving. Xunae was sick of her mother and the limitations she was put in. The merciless punishments she had for being caught doing anything related to magic made it even deeper. She was dreaming constantly how she’d love to slowly torture and kill her.
As she continued through her clerical training she started showing more resistance to her mother, she turned hard to control, did not obey her mother as much as it was expected of her. That only increased the conflict between the two, not turning in to a fight just because Xunae didn’t feel strong enough to oppose her mother in a battle and her Mother still believing that she can put Xunae under full control. During this silent battle of rebelling Xunae sneaked off to at least take a look at the mage school. Her sorceress spirit was hungry to experience something new, to learn more how to control it. The plan was only to look around and leave unnoticed but one mage caught her wandering around. She was terrified of him being sent by her mother, but after a short talk she felt that this man is her one and only chance for her to advance her magical powers. She managed to talk him in to tutoring her and paid him with gold and stolen artifacts from her household. For some reason she felt that he was interested in her in a different way than any other men she knew, and without her even trying to seduce him. She felt as if the bond they had was unique, she could not explain this weird connection but around this man she felt relatively safe. However, if her Mother got to know about this secret training that’d be the last straw. Xunae knew she’d be killed for this or at least locked up in a dungeon and her mother would simply try to get a new daughter instead.
Years passed. Xunae continued through her day-life as a novice and those secret moments of her sorceress self. One day her magic teacher left the city. Xunae did not know why, but she felt it probably had something to do with Menzoberranzan itself. She was only wondering about why she cares what happens to him.
A thought of running away has been in her mind for a long time, but she was too afraid, and lacked confidence, so she stayed and tried to cope with all of it. But one day everything turned upside down. Never has she been interested in being a cleric, never has she thought that Lolth would pay attention to her, in fact, Xunae always disliked Lolth. And so one day she got a test from the Goddess of Chaos. To say the least she failed it miserably. Understanding that her forced priesthood as well as her life was pretty much over that night, she fled. Stripped of all the clerical abilities and loosing any favor she ever had with Lolth. She was terrified and happy at the same time. She had no choice but to run in to the unknown, on her own, free, doing whatever she wants. Everything she was too afraid to attempt before, but on the other hand she knew that she has to make it out alive first, for there's at least a few assassins hunting her down now. Such treason would not be forgiven, especially by her Mother. She fled to the city gates. Surprisingly there were no big complications on the way, but as she thought she made it out she confronted one of the elite guards from her house. She knew him well enough, he used to stare at her with dreamy eyes and was mostly too shy to even talk to her. This time, however, his face was cold and eyes murderous. He received a task to kill. Knowing his fighting skills Xunae knew that she had little chance of survival in a fair battle. Led by a still burning joy of freedom and not being able to come up with anything better she took a chance and forced herself in the guard’s arms instead of attacking. And it worked. She caught him completely dumbfounded from her action and that was exactly what she needed. Xunae did her best to completely charm him, talking him in to running away with her as she whispered his most secret dreams in his ear. After some sweet-talking and diplomatic persuasion he seemed convinced and willing to run away with her, but she could not trust him. It would be useful to have a warrior by her side but he was too obedient to the matron most of the time. So she just played along for a little longer, slitting his throat at the first opportunity.
Now all she had was a blood on her dagger, an underdark tunnel map given by her magic teacher a long time ago and some gold coins. She followed the map and after a few close-to death adventures ended up in Sshamath. Always paranoid of the assassins that were sent after her she now works hard to improve her sorceress abilities and learning about blood magic and necromancy, otherwise enjoying her freedom and grinning to what Lolth might have done to her mother for letting her escape.
Goals: Become more powerful, Kill her Mother if she is still alive, Explore and map the underdark tunnels. She is also very intrigued by the "surface" she's heard of so little about.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
*Having been a Lolth cleric in training she despises everything that has to do with it
*Would be interesting to run in to an assassin sent her Mother
*Xunae sometimes can do extreme things if that will make her more powerful.
*She is not necessarily evil, just very insecure and afraid. She probably could be converted to chaotic neutral alignment if she stayed in the right environment.
*She is a curious character and is careful not to judge anyone too soon, because she is afraid of getting in trouble from misunderstandings (except for anything that has to do with Lolth).
*Is fond of necromancy as she thinks that's a superior school of magic and seems to have talent for it.
*Her confidence seems to be increasing slowly as she lets her curiosity take down her fears a bit more often now.
