Proclamation from the Conclave.

A proclamation is released from the Conclave.

Recently a envoy consisting of noble members of House Nasadra from Ched Nassad, was attacked by driders from the newly formed drider tribe. Thanks to the combined efforts of our Charnag Maelthra and other allies of the Conclave, we manage to disrupt the attack and safely escort the nobles back to Sshamath. The nobles were here to attend a meeting with Bel'iira Sshamath and other members of her house.

We consider this as an act of aggression against Sshamath directly, and therefore we have increased guard patrols inside the city as well as the tunnels leading to the city. Charnag officers have also been dispatched. The various schools of magic are also involved in the matter.

For now, we urge all citizens that travel from Sshamath to be cautious and not travel to tunnels known to house Driders. Trade caravans coming and traveling from Sshamath will have additional guards with them, to ensure their safety.

Alienor frowned when she heard of the proclamation. Things did not add up and events were gathering speed with few immediate answers in sight. Certainly, there was the note from master Guilhem regarding a guild meeting to be held that cycle. Perhaps some clarification would be forthcoming then. If not, she was prepared to lead an expedition herself to find out more.

One thing was for certain, there was a game of intrigue afoot in the city and she had little taste for such things. They rarely ended without a bevy of corpses and a official misinformation to cover up the mess.

She headed for the guild's headquarters without delay...

Cyrithe is reading an exquisite ruby encrusted journal in the corner of Gloura's as various rumors float to her ears. Hearing of the Proclamation, she takes a sip from her icy beverage and ponders how the events will unfold.

The Conclave is finally acting on the Drider activity. She wonders what has taken them so long. Many things remain uncertain and the chatter at the bar hasn't been as pleasant to her lately. The jalil never intended to become involved in the politics of Sshamath. She had every intent to avoid it. Being swept in with the current of things, she resolves to see the coming cycles through to their completion.

Setting down the journal, which she's read and re-read, she idly taps a finger against the lip of her glass rhythmically. The soft tone the chilly glass emits is lost in the din of the bar to all but the jalil. Soothing to her ears, the jalil's mind calms and she continues to ponder . .

With the backing of the famed mercenary group Bregan D'aerthe, Alienor begins to assemble a team for an exploratory mission to the drider caverns.

The stated plan is to assess the level of threat posed by the unified drider clans.

What other purposes the mission may have remain only a topic of hushed rumors as no one concerned with the enterprise has revealed anything beyond the official announcement.

Meanwhile as talks are being undertaken, some individual has infiltrated the drider tunnels, leaving a path of bloodshed behind them. Scenes of skirmish range from chamber to chamber and bodies of stony devils, their summoned minions and driders themselves loiter the corridors. Near some of the bodies, loose necklace chains are being left behind but the necklaces themselves have gone missing.

Whoever it was, it must have been some trophy hunter. Or so you think...
