Have the issues with symbols etc been fixed?
Never heard about any symbol issue. Are you talking about umlauts and such?

Trying to figure out how to use languages. Writing <languagedraconic> does nothing. There should also be an end command thingy, so you can mix languages & common?
You forgot colon.
<language:draconic>
You cannot write in languages your character doesn't know.
There's no "end command" for language. You just put it anywhere on the page, and everything after that point will be in that language. Library has at least one book in infernal, so you could check that it actually works. To switch back to common, use <language:common>

Otherwise, anyone got any tips & tricks for the book writing system?'
Colors work in book writing, but bold/italic text doesn't.
I sometimes put OOC notice on the first page to explain that the book should be opened by rightclick->activate, especially if it is not written in common. This is because entire book can be read by rightclick->examine, which will ignore languages completely - meaning contents can be metagamed.
While writing, keep checking book view. If you fit too much text onto left page, scroll bar will not appear (only appears at the right page), but text will become scrollable, which is not obvious.
If the book becomes borked while writing (half text is missing, only one or two random pages are visible, scrolling text doesn't work), relogging into game fixes the problem.

It would be nice to have an option for writing book via offline tools. You know, in real text editor with copy/paste.
