So I made a paladin of Savras. I wanted him to serve truth. then I found out Savras is in a scepter at these times, so I Switched my paladin to Hoar a month or two ago, but it just didn't feel right.
Where does a paladin dedicated to truth and divination go?
I still may RCR, (he was called a liar and turned to stone by a gnome, and I may just leave it at that) and make a paladin that can not cast spells, but still worships Savras.

Re: Paladin of truth
May want to check out Deneir. He's the god of glyphs and the "scribe of Oghma". There's really no god more serving of "truth" than Oghma, and Deneir is very much in the same field, except he is neutral good instead of true neutral. And so he allows for paladins.
But you might want to define what you mean by "serving truth", as it could be serving the truth of justice or the facts of knowledge. The truth of justice would fall within Tyr's domain, I'd say.
Paladins of Azuth and Mystra also work for the knowledge truth.

If you go Denier or Oghma, see Teo of Candlekeep or Issabella, if you'd like to serve as a protector of knowledge (ergo truth).

Re: Paladin of truth
I haven't encountered a decisive verdict eitherway on whether Savras currently grants spells. He went down to the power level of a demi-deity when he was beaten by Azuth, and is imprisoned in Azuth's staff.
Unlike the imprisonment of Waukeen Savras's whereabouts are perfectly known and he continues answering prayers normally. It is not written anywhere that his faith and clergy significantly decline during his captivity. This signals that Savras must also be able to grant some level of power to his clergy and followers. That furthers Mystra's agenda while a captive & dying deity of divination clearly doesn't.
On the whole I would say that a Paladin or Cleric of Savras is perfectly playable, and has access to the regular Divine powers & spells. As a prisoner of Azuth the church of Savras is subservient to Azuth's ordained followers, and obligated to strictly follow the reigning Magister's orders.
I hope that helps.

Yay.
He is dedicated to sense motive, (though I haven't beefed it up a whole bunch at 11), and he basically serves savras, the third eye, truth being ability to see the truth, know the truth, and to be able to have premonitions. Which funnily, while playing him, i had two that came true.
One was an amazing story that had fugue RP.

Well, if you made your Paladin of the Gur People, you might have even less of a time validating his Paladinness, serving Savras.

heh, not to get too off topic, but knowledge is a little different from truth.TeoDeathDealer wrote:If you go Denier or Oghma, see Teo of Candlekeep or Issabella, if you'd like to serve as a protector of knowledge (ergo truth).
For example, all knowledge about D&D is knowledge, but not exactly truth.
