This is kind of a dual thing.
First, would it be possible to do something about ammo stacks? Right now, there's 99 to a stack, the default. However, you burn through ammo at a frightening rate at high levels, causing you to carry a zillion ammo stacks and basically being able to carry significantly less of everything else.
I don't want prices for ammo to change or even anything in the way you buy them in stacks of 99 to change, but is it possible to set it up so the stacks of like-ammo go to 999? It'll still cost the same, just won't have half your inventory covered in ammo stacks.
Which brings me to my next question: Bags.
Part of this issue about ammo is because there's no bags on the server. I'm not talking about magic, weight reducing bags, just regular bags that allow someone to organize scrolls and runes and stuff so that inventory doesn't get super messy. Especially on a RP based server, all the "little nick-nack" things carried for RP purposes can really clog stuff up.
I've heard multiple things about bags and not having bags on the server, but I can't find anything formal on it.
Why is it we don't have bags? It would save a huge number of ooc headaches for inventory management.

Re: Ammo stack amounts- And a question about Bags
I will put the part in the QC forum for discussion.
About the bags, they are considered as a drain on resources and since we just recently managed to correct some hickups that drained memory, i doubt we want to risk it. Other than the "machine" related issues, there are concerns about the game mechanics, since it makes dumping STR so much more inviting.
We are more likely to work on making the mules more efficient, rather than adding bags. There is the storage system, that can help up to a certain degree with storage.

Re: Ammo stack amounts- And a question about Bags
I understand if it's a resource issue, but just having "more mules" isn't going to help in all areas. Especially since we can't disguise-switch stuff in the bank/storage so it takes that much more time and effort to put or get things from mules.
Mostly, not having bags and stuff, greatly limits the number of non-functional items in one's inventory. It does for me.
For instance, small hourglasses, little random trophies or RP gifts, a bundle of silk rope, grappling hook, that sort of stuff. If we want to be able to carry scrolls and runes and whatnot, and still have room in inventory for anything we come across, these itty bity or easily collapsible trinkets take up a huge amount of space, thus limiting a fair amount of RP potential.
I wish we could have them.
Thanks for the note on the ammo.

Nope you've got to make choices, pack your inventory like you're hiking. It's not fun to be ready for everything anyway

Recently I found the high IQ move is never to press the auto sort button and have everything arranged in the inv. a certain way. For my casters at least since I can't hot bar everything.

Most of the stuff I have the autosort button is fine. Just tends to be cluttered either way.
And that's the problem... I can't actually pack as if I was hiking!
But such is life.
