With the saves of the epic mobs (read bosses) where Mass Drown is suggested (read required due to insanely OP HP), their epic saves usually save against it. So you have to rely on storms and just pummeling them into the ground.

~Wouveir - Hellstorm Crew
~Adolamin Marblerune - Arcane Engineer and Lorekeeper citizen of the Kingdom of Kraak Helzak. [His Story]
~Harrison Remillard - Morninglord of the Song of the Morning Temple.

Thorn skin does not add damage ( unless the spell got foubared recently ). Damage is dealt only when you get hit. And by blades of fire i think simian means Flame weapon. The damage is not bad with Storm avatar on.

But lets not forget this is a dragon druid that we are comparing this with. If it is going to be used for comparion, then it is most likely to nerf the dragon-druid, rather than empower anything else.

There is no incentive to allow the combat feats to wotk while shapeshifted/polymorphed.

Your skin sprouts thorns when this spell is cast, increasing the damage you and making you difficult to harm. You deal an extra 1d4 points of piercing damage. In addition, any creature that hits you takes 1d4 points of piercing damage.
It is the only druid spell that increases ranged damage. I used it a lot on my Spirit Shaman years ago.

Subject: Polumorph/Shapechange - gear bonuses

The custom feats don't transfer to the forms by design. The fact that casters can even get those feats is a step over the line and definitely not the reason why those feats were implemented.
That would be a final answer.

Vanilla NWN2 Combat Feats will be active in Polymorph/Shapechage forms, but Custom BGSTCC combat feats will not.

Combat Feats found on Items will transfer over to the Forms.
