Last cycle, the more observant Bazaar denizens might have witnessed two dark-robed figures entering the 7th Circle Headquarters with a well-known member of the organization, after a brief exchange just outside the building. They emerged a few candlemarks after, seemingly satisfied with the outcome of whatever happened within the consortium's premises.

Certain travelers (and all guards and loiterers...) in Varalla's Passage might have seen a tall, fully armored jaluk in a black cape making his way into the Bregan D'aerthe's guild hall. Whatever happened inside, lasted quite a few candlemarks. After the visit, the dark warrior made his way deeper into the tunnels.

Conjurer Vesche has been seen around Sshamath with more rarity but on the occasions he can be seen, much time is spent at the School of Conjuration. It would soon enough be known that the former Lieutenant and still member of Bregan D'aerthe has been made a Diplomatic Representative of the School of Conjuration and its seat on the Conclave. How this affects Bregan D'aerthe's relations with the Conclave might be something which is speculated on.

Those with an eye and ear into the businesses of the Schools would not find it difficult to learn that Vesche is planar travelling on behalf of the School of Conjuration, when other duties are not requested.

Word of a new Necromancer of power entering the prestigious School spreads quickly throughout the City of Dark Weavings. It is whispered that she was immediately accepted with a rather high rank despite the systematically long and painful (and often lethal...) induction usually reserved to neophytes, by virtue of her exceptionally deep spell knowledge, her remarkable weaving mastery and her sheer arcane power.

Curiously enough, nothing else about her is known, including her origin: she might as well never have existed before a few tendays ago.

The guards on duty in Varalla's Passage a couple of cycles ago certainly noticed a less than amicable exchange between a scarred jalil dressed in mottled gray robes, longbow in hand, and a dark-clad, hooded jaluk wearing a large shield and an elegant, black longsword.

As a consequence of the altercation, the rather aggressive female challenged the warrior to continue away from prying eyes, and he promptly followed. A brief skirmish ensued, involving dancing with the shadows and a couple of warning shots testing a solid shield stance, before some known associates of his showed themselves.

The archer left shortly after, without further escalation aside from a serie of threats whose credibility remains to be difficult to estimate.

A squad of drow with emblems of the 7th Circle, were seen escorting a human known to many as Morgalia, Herald of Darkhold and second in command to Lord Selengil Harkonis. Along the way, they made certain that there would be no threats to the valuable guest. They headed to the 7th Circle headquarters and only came out many hours later after long negotiations.

It is said that a small delegation of 7th Circle agents paid a visit to Q'uellar Zau'afin last cycle. Some swear the Circle agents were received by none less than Ilharess Lomith herself, although that has to be speculations, as penetrating into the highly fortified, heavily guarded House grounds to actually know for sure would seem difficult to say the least. Any detail on the meeting itself remains a mystery.

A tired tanurukk, with dried blood stains and bits of drider and other 'parts' still sticking out of his armour steps of a rat in the passage, goes straight through the portal to the nearest bar, that being Gloura's.

After several swift ales he starts telling the tale of how him and some friends (of which he avoids giving names or descriptions) upon travlleing through the Upperdark, Kro's, were beset by a horde of driders, spiders and other such enemies in a desperate continuous battle through the tunnels. A strange but noble looking female drow was seen at the end of the fight, before she disappeared without trace and the group finally founght their way clear.

The number of ememies gradually increases the more ales are drunk and the tale retold, but always with the same strange female at the end.

Bugg eventually leaves Glouras and heads back to the Nauklar for a couple more ales and tales before retiring.

Word spreads in and around the environs of Sshamath of a mysterious benefactor who has put out a contract paying for various "commodities". To those who would investigate and dig a little deeper, they may find themselves with a copy of the contract itself, which reads:

Payment in coin will be given to those who deliver the following, dead or alive:

- Humanoid (Humans, Elven, Plane-touched, etc.)
- Monsters (Goblinoid, Reptilian, Orcs, etc.)

A location in one of the tunnels outside of Sshamath is depicted at the bottom of the letter wherein payment may be secured in exchange for the spoils to be delivered. The parchment is unsigned but contains a sigil which depicts a spider with an eye on its back.

A yathrin known as Ssin'verin has been spreading word of a fight she would like arranged. She has a duergar willing to fight a challenger of worth (ECL 5 I believe)... You may have heard that she is looking for other fighters and is willing to pay good coin... She is a regular at the Gloura's Wings Tavern

((( OOC: I have not played in about 6 years. I have returned to the Underdark and would like to begin arranging caged matches among many other things to hopefully attract players to the UD lifestyle ;) and with the surface being so easily accessible it would be nice to see more traffic and trade)))

A rather influential figure in Sshamath's gem trade was seen entering the Bregan D'aerthe headquarters a couple of cycles ago, accompanied by a Gray Dwarf looking like a bodyguard of sort. After a rather long meeting, the Drow was escorted back to Sshamath by the very same companion.

A badly sunburned drow warrior sat barechested at a table in Gloura's boasting loudly of a brutal surface excursion. Some may recognize him as Nargazul, a weapon master of Draa Ver and barbaric Selvetarmite. For a trophy he displays a partly eaten human leg. Occasionally he allows a drow to sniff or touch a lock of woven blue elven hair.

"l'Orbb Glennen! The Spider Militant! Join my fighting team and you will have the conquest our ancestors enjoyed! The conquest Selvetarm commands..."

In a moment of commotion near the Z'orr'bauth this cycle, a female half-drow was given a severe lesson in proper respect and decorum to her drow superiors. It is more than likely the passing guards barely batted an eyelid at the fierce words and open display of dominance, given the half-drow's inherently inferior social rank. In the end, no blood was shed, although only just, a certain neck teetering at the point of a brutal drow scimitar.

It is well known that the female drow responsible for the delivery of the lesson was one Schezalle, jabbress of the once profitable Black Claws Mercantile Company. What she is doing back in Sshamath is anyone's guess.

The mysterious warrior known as Blackblade, rumored to be the Bregan D'aerthe's representative of the 7th Circle and right arm of the Eye herself, has officially inquired about the Black Claws and its mistress, apparently trying to get in contact with her.

The motives of the sinister jaluk remain undisclosed.

Vague rumors circulate within central Sshamath for a cycle or two that the drow raiding party l'Orbb Glennen has received sponsorship. It is said their operations are now being backed by a noble merchant house from the Northdark with a presence in Sshamath; The Black Claw Mercantile Company.
