Benchwarming for Orcs!
Is this possible to add the full set of animation to orcs, like crossing arms, lying on back, benchwarming animations other than basic sitting, etc etc?

Maybe we let orcs use human armors as well. Humans get new cool looking armor skins every patch while orcs remain stuck with the same three models.

There is something of a realism to this for certain armors. After all, how many styles of Platemail are going to be fitted/specifically made for Orcs? Such armors should look like a hodgepodge of plates fitted to generically fit orcs. However, other armor types such as leathers/hides/clothing etc. should be more easily self-made/fitted for a given orc.Slunko wrote:Maybe we let orcs use human armors as well. Of course you could also say Platemail would be necessary to specifically fit to the orc. However, using human armor skins would seem wrong. Instead there should be specific orc armor skins that have a less refined look with sharper/jagged edges where plates fit together and even different tints to give the armor a look of taking pieces from several armors and then custom fitting them in to a single piece.

Re: Benchwarming for Orcs!
I was just suggesting what would seem like the easiest. Some armors for humans already replace their whole body, or at least that's how it looks like, so allowing orcs to use those, maybe just a bit wider or some such wouldn't be too bad. But if we can get orc specific armors, all the better!

Orcs aren't people. They are just target practice, no need for sitting and animations.

Re: Benchwarming for Orcs!
Other servers have implemented solutions to this, the one from what I've seen being giving orcs (apparently it doesn't work as well for gnomes and dwarves but it could be done for them too) "human" skeletons. I suspect their heads would need to be altered (perhaps not), and their defaults would need to be made taller and bulkier. This would result them in being able to use animations and armor reserved for human skeletons. Otherwise, unless someone is willing to make the animations for orc/dwarf/other skeletons, then I don't think its doable.
Maybe there is another solution, but that'd require someone experienced with this stuff to comment.

Re: Benchwarming for Orcs!
Orcs, dwarves and gnomes don't have the same animation skeletons as the human-like races.
Which means that you need to remake every animation, armor etc.
A solution is to give them human base bodies/skeletons so they get the same animations and armors that human-like races use.
Problem is that they lose their unique bulkiness (the dwarves and the orcs), and their unique heads (except for the alternatives below) because you're using a human skeleton for them. But you gain all the animations and armor.

https://neverwintervault.org/project/nw ... ied-gnomes
And the last three links are alternatives for the half-orcs and includes humanified dwarves and gnomes.
