Rumours flit forth from the 7th Circle guildhall about the second visit of Jabress Schezalle to that particular compound. Once again she met with Blackblade privately, even at the expense of an organised meeting he had with the Necromancy Twins.

She did not leave that office for several hours, and when she did it was with her usual bold, determined and exotically sensual strides.

Since the last few cycles, Chalindra can often be seen leaving S'shamath to train two particularly strong looking tanarukks in the caves around the city.

Sometimes, the same tanarukks accompany the Yaths and Jabbresses of l'Orbb Glennen when they leave the warded parts of the city.

There was an impromptu bard-off in front of the Black Claws Emporium this cycle. One of the local performers attempted to begin a song but was heckled down by a torrent of abuse by the local stall-holder, Mistress Schezalle. When asked what kind of music she preferred, she delivered the following right then and there in the Bazaar:
A gentle dark does stare
From depths within
My feet will call me home
Forget all sin

Creaking oaks still sway
Against the breeze
A beast about to slay
Is what they sing

Haunting are the cries the forest calls
Even as it sighs I shall not fall
Oh, carry my feet home against the tides
Of the forest’s aching moans within the night

Desolate is the sky
That watches all
Through every blinking eye
Above the oaks so tall

Death I do embrace
When the cold does rise
I leave this world in haste
From each murmur of the night

Sombre is the moan
That echoes through the night
This forest I shall roam
Chanting of my plight

A child I shall be
Forever in this life
One that no one sees
Until I take their light.
Her impromptu performance was met with rapturous applause by those listening.

The previous cycle, a rather dazed jalil in a scarlet dress left the Spider's Kiss with her red, glowing eyes half-lidded. Her lower lip was stained with blood - a direct result of her habit of lip chewing when nervous. One hand was at the small of her back as if covering something. Her straightened hair was missing the pale ribbon that held it all together. She looked confused. In pain, even, despite lacking any visible physical marks aside from the bottom of her skirt being singed. With twitching hands, she took a contact medallion and made a sending.

Shortly after the sending was made, another jalil appeared at the front door of the Kiss. Her features were strikingly similar to the one in red, revealed only by a dark blue dress. The difference, however, was in that this particular jalil was slightly paler, had cold blue eyes, and her hair seemed to be silver rather than white. They shared a brief exchange in which the one in blue seemed to scold the other one. She sounded both alarmed and frustrated. Onlookers could catch the words "pact", "soul", and "unholier than the Outcast". With that, Nyschari took her shaken sister by the shoulder and led her away from the establishment.

The same Drow female in the scaled armour as before was spotted entering the School of Necromancy with a necromancer escorting her. She was seen later leaving the school by herself, and soon after was seen leaving the city.

There is a rather reliable rumour flitting about thay the Mistress of the Black Claws Emporium made a visit to the Stonestave this cycle.

She apparently met a 'student' there and took her to the city archives for a lesson on drow history, which included an impromptu recital of her Illithiiri lament, All for a Crown.

It is whispered of Arch-Necromancer Zar'Vyrae leaving her office at the School of Necromancy shortly after the Ilharess of Qu'ellar Zau'afin left the very building. The dark robed mage was then seen entering the Guildhall of the Bregan D'aerthe. After spending some time inside she left with the warrior known as Blackblade, heading back to the School of Necromancy. Candlemarks later Blackblade left the school alone, disappearing into the Darkwoods shortly after.

Those present at the Gloura's Wings mid cycle would witness an exchange taking place between a pair of young jaluken and the arch necromancer Zar'Vyrae. Known to some the incessant rhymer known as Jak along with the Bregan D'arthe recruit Dhalgren were charged with some task and a glittering red gem was presented to the males as well as a key and velvet pouch. They returned some time later, handing back the gem and velvet bag, seemingly now containing some item. The arch necromancer seemed please with the pair, paying them for their services and hinting at possible future engagements. The ever unpredictable Jak refused the payment, asking that it instead be given to Blackblade to reimburse for the rental of his recruit. Zar'Vyrae agreed to facilitate the payment.

A calamitous scene was witnessed in the Dark Weavings Bazaar this cycle as the heavily armoured jaluk many know as Blackblade came sprinting with all his might from the 7th Circle. In his arms he carried the Mistress of the Black Claws, Schezalle, a dagger lodged firmly in her throat as her gushing blood marked the trail of his desperation.

Taken straight to the Web of the Spider Queen, the stalwart warrior pleaded for all the healing they had available, virtually throwing the contents of the 7th Circle treasury at them in exchange. And none too soon, as the yathrinen soon discovered the blade had been coated with a normally fatal concoction of Pit Fiend Ichor, which they were able to halt before it enacted its final death throes.

Blackblade took the drowess away to a private room in the Spider's Kiss, and is said to be keeping vigil over her. The exact details of what happened remain a mystery, let alone the state of the victim of this act of violence within Sshamath's city wards.

After returning from the tunnels with a jaluk who intended on meeting with the Mistress of the Black Claws Emporium to make a purchase, it would not take long for a certain half-drow known to associate with I'Orbb Glennen to discover what had transpired. The half-drow would then make a sending right there at the spot she had heard the news, right in the middle of the bazaar to Blackblade to try and find out what had occurred.

A glowering drow Priestess of Lolth hears of the incident and immediately begins to set plans into motion, sending messengers sprawling to deliver missives to various but anonymous recipients. Her striding gait finally takes her to the facade of The Spider's Kiss where inside, her first daughter awaits to be reconciled.

A strange and rubbishy magazine has been published and distributed of late by an elusive deep gnome merchant, "THE SSHAMATHAN JALUK", selling for a couple of plakta each. His makeshift stall in the bazaar is never present for more than an hour - and does not appear in the same place more than once.

The well informed whisper that further visitors to the Spider's Kiss wishing to see either Schezalle or her dark-clad associate were baffled by the news they had quietly slipped away, location unknown. Since the warrior known as Blackblade had rented the entire lower floor of the Spider's Kiss, the place had been utterly empty for almost a cycle, and would likely be for the next ones as well.

Her recovery aided by the acquisition of expensive curative magic, the Mistress of the Black Claws had returned to her work in the Dark Weavings Bazaar with her normal enthusiam. However, noticeably lacking from Schezalle's stall was perhaps her most memorable (some would say infamous) trait. Her voice was still and quiet; all her communications being performed through the use of drowsign.

Activity seemed to have picked up at the School of Necromancy as of late.
So called Death Squads have been seen leaving the school. Well equiped and organized. As of how many, whispers remain vague. Some say it were a few teams, others claim it was the full army of the School of Necromancy. Whatever it is, something is stirring...
