Has Wild Shape / Vermin Shape (Druid) always been dispelable?
Just wondering, because I experienced this occurrence of Greater Dispel removing Wild Shape today, and I honestly cannot remember that happening on my older Druid from years ago. Cheers.

Been like this forever and also works that way in vanilla, in nwn2 engine the wildshape is just considered a magic effect, not different from other spells like IMA.
Curiously in pnp dispel magic doesnt remove the wildshape but an antimagic field does.
Maybe it didnt happen before since dispel magic got fixed?

Damn. I guess my previous Druid was just lucky.
But now I wonder why people moan that Dragon Druids are so powerful, when all you need to do is Gr. Dispel or Mords on them.

Every strength has one or more weaknesses on this server. Just have to research and discover them.
re the spell... i just wonder why we have the True Form spell then....
Oh... and re Mords and Dispell... never happened to my dragon yet, dc casted on dispell may not have been high enough. Many mords have been chucked at it by pve bosses. The mords will frustratingly take the 'expensive' spells though.

All true. Considering that Mob AI meta games a PC's Character Sheet, it is probably only when the AI can succeed with a Dispel, that it will cast it...which is yeah, just how it is.
And now comparing the CR of the Area with the Level of my PC, I can understand the AI calculation going on. I'm guessing my old Druid build just had a better CR-to-Level ratio going on, than the current go around.

Do you have a screenshot of it getting dispelled? Cause it's supposed to be a supernatural effect.

There is a spell that forces a Druid out of wildshape iirc. Maybe the NPC casted that...?

I thought you'd never ask!
The PC's CL is 11.

You can even lesser dispel it, just roll a lvl 1 druid and test it yourself...

I wonder if it's just a problem with Vermin Shape specifically. This should be fixable either way though (whether it's one or both). I'll take a look at it after the holiday if a real dev hasn't beaten me to it.

Why wait for someone to ask?
Anyway vermin shape wasn't supernatural. Fixed now.

That's great Nemni!
BTW, if you're around, one other thing I noticed is that Greater Magic Fang and Jagged Tooth is not staying applied to Vermin Shape, when returning to original form then back to Vermin Shape.
Greater Magic Fang and Jagged Tooth DOES stay applied through its duration for Wild Shaping on regular Druid forms.
If I remember correctly, the issue of GMF not staying applied to Wild Shape was an issue for a small time, but then fixed after the Big Update to Shapes on BGTSSC some years back. And I'm thinking that whatever was done for normal Wild Shape didn't get applied to Vermin Shape.
Cheers.

Does True Form work? https://wiki.bgtscc.net/index.php?title=True_Form
I ask because most druids have such insane will saves and autofailure on will is bugged I'm not sure it's been tested.
Also, does wildshape beetle exist? The wiki alludes to it as existing...
